Inkspirational #173

Hi All.

Time for our photo challenge at Inkspirational.

I went a bit arty here and do love how it turned out:

And the photo that inspired this:

I used the colours and the flowers as inspiration.
The flower dies are from Concord and 9th and the sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.

I water coloured a large piece of card using the colours in the photo. Then using this card I die cut the flowers curling the edges to add dimension. I then used just one edge of this card to layer the flowers on.

Our wonderful DT have come up with some amazing cards-check them out here and then get inky!

Enjoy!

Arithmetic!!

Hi All

Here is my card for the latest 'Arithmetic' challenge at CASology

This was really hard to photograph so you could see all the detail but I am hoping you can!

When I saw this challenge I immediately thought that this sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays would be a fun take on the cue word. But didn't know how to design it.Then I remembered my blogging friend Jill had sent me some goodies that I might be able to play around with. The black base is actually an embossed number folder-IRL the numbers really jump up and give the card great dimension....I hope you can see it. The the next layer the numbers have been heat embossed in white on the white base...it has a lovely shine. Then I stamped the sentiment in versa mark ink and heat embossed in white.

IRL this card is so full of all this detail but still wonderfully CAS....well I love it.
Now I just have to find someone older than me!!

Enjoy your day!

I will enter this into:

Less is More-Dimension-the Embossing Folder gives a great way to make a CAS card have dimension....plus the sentiment is popped up on foam pads.
CAS Mix Up Challenge-November-embossing folder, stamping (versa marker) and my choice being-heat embossing.

Season's Greetings!

Hi All

Another card based on the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.

As the weather turns duller her it is becoming harder to take a photo to show how glittery the gold delicata ink looks. I got the idea to use this colouring when I saw the photo at CAS-ual Fridays Challenge-the wood grain has a gold glitter to it-well it looked like that to me!

Avery Elle  stamp set used.

A one layer stamp and go card-my fav to make and this one I could make a few-if I ever get around to crafting more!

Have a good day x

Scary Flashes!

Hi All

Yesterday I finally got to make a card. Only took about 5 mins but relieved some stress and it was my fav kind of card to make....one layer, CAS and plain old ink and stamps!

I had this sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays in mind for the 'Scary' challenge at CASology. As I said yesterday, I have no Halloween images so had to look at the challenge another way. I was helped along by this by DT member Anna with this card. I wasn't sure how she linked her card to scary but after reading her post, it made me realise-there are many ways to interpret this.

So I went here with getting scared about approaching or going through that dreaded menopause and all those hot flushes! A scary process!! I remember it well and am glad to say it is all behind me! I chose these colours as you feel like you must look 'red hot' when they come but no.....you look a cool yellow!!

So my scary is 'getting older'. Embrace it really but it can be scary.

The layout is from CAS(E) this Sketch-it was DT member Jen's take here that inspired me to use these striped stamps from Avery Elle

Enjoy your day x

Time Out #121

Hi All

Before I tell you about our new challenge at Time Out, I want to apologise for not visiting your blogs much recently-you know I love to come around and support you as much as I can. But at the moment there is a lot of stressful situations I am dealing with IRL! I am trying to visit IG and say hello there and hopefully will soon be back showing you all the support you deserve!

Time for another challenge at Time Out.
This time we are asking you to be 'Inspired by Word'

Here is my card:

and these are the words that inspired this:

You can use any of these words or the whole phrase.
I went with the whole phrase as my dear friend, Nonni and teamie at Time Out, has recently moved to a new flat. You are always a little scared and apprehensive about moving somewhere new but in the end, you overcome this and are usually really grateful you took that step and have a new cosy new home!

The die cut here is from Poppy Stamps and was a pressie from my lovely teamie here at Time Out, Joyce-thank you Joyce, I love it. The die is simply topped onto some Autumn inspired water coloured card

This challenge is sponsored by the wonderful STAMPlorations.

Who have some great prizes on offer-check them out and our Design Team's cards over at Time Out.

Can't wait to see what these words inspire you to make.

Enjoy!

I will enter this into:

CAS on Friday-Fall or Halloween-Fall inspired colours.
CASology-Scary-I don't have any Halloween or scary images but thought this was a different take on this challenge-I have a few other ideas of things that make us scared and am really hoping I get to craft sometime soon!

Love!

Hi All

Super quick post as lots to do this week.

I made this card inspired by a few challenges:

I love pinks and greys together so used the Inspiration challenge at CAS-ual Fridays  as my starting point. I stamped this 'love' stamp from CAS-ual Fridays and coloured in some of the flowers in grey.

The layout comes from CAS(E) THIS Sketch. I used 3 score lines to make my card super CAS.

Added a few grey enamel dots and done!

Have a good week.

Sparkle!

Hi All

Popping in with another early morning make!

Another one layer Christmas card ready to post abroad!

I loved the photo at The Card Concept (Happy 100th Challenge x) as soon as I saw it. The pink and gold just jumped out at me and I decided I would make a Christmas card from these colours. You know I love my non traditional colours! Happy 100th Challenge.  I went with the CAS style....as if I would go for an other!

I looked around for a sketch and thanks to Freshly Made Sketches I found one. As soon as I saw the sketch the stamp set I have used here by Visible Image came to mind immediately.

I used delicata gold ink which is great for making one layer cards if you don't want to emboss-it gives a lovely shine.

This gold also allows my card to fit into Paru's Card Making Challenge-A touch of Gold

Have a great day x
