Inkspirational #173

Hi All.

Time for our photo challenge at Inkspirational.

I went a bit arty here and do love how it turned out:

And the photo that inspired this:

I used the colours and the flowers as inspiration.
The flower dies are from Concord and 9th and the sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.

I water coloured a large piece of card using the colours in the photo. Then using this card I die cut the flowers curling the edges to add dimension. I then used just one edge of this card to layer the flowers on.

Our wonderful DT have come up with some amazing cards-check them out here and then get inky!

Enjoy!

Inkspirational #171

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.

But first off we have some very exciting news!
We are expanding our Design Team and have 3 superb designers joining us:

Anila
Marlena
Pia

Welcome Ladies!

I have for a long time been fans of all these amazing designers and can't be happier that they are joining our Ink Team.

If you click on their names above you can go to their blogs and you will just love what you see.....I always do!

Also to find out more about Anila, Marlena and Pia pop on over to Inkspirational-you can also see their first stunning cards for us.

It is our word prompt and the the word is:

Comfort

I went with the comfort we all feel when hugged!

I used this hugs die from Winnie and Walter

I used a stitched die cut panel cutting some score lines to this. I cut it from some previous watercoloured card and just layered it on some soft peach fun foam so you can see the peach as a shadow. Mounted this all on some lilac card that was the closet match to the die as I could get.

All the Design Team have made super cards for this challenge and pop on over to Inkspirational and take a look.

Then get inky!

Enjoy!

Inspired by our photo:

This sentiment comes from The Ton Stamps. And I feel these words speak to all us crafty gang....a super CAS card like this can look so much more fun with a touch of glittler!!

The sentiment was just stamped onto some card and I popped it up on some foam pads for dimension. Added a few die cut stars-cut from glitter fun foam!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Isle. Her blog is full of inspiring projects-pop on over and have a look here. We are delighted to have you join us Isle.

Hi All

Time for our Designer's choice of challenge at Inkspirational. This week Yvonne is asking us to use a stamped/lace/paper/stencil doily on our cards.

I went for a stamped and embossed doily and actually made it into a Christmas card:

Both the doily stamp and the sentiment are from Uniko.

Our Guest Designer for the challenge is the very talented Toni. I love her cards and you can check them out on her blog here.

Inkspirational #168

O.K so how did I get to this card from the word snap?......

I pondered on this for weeks and then thought you 'snap' when you loose your temper or get angry. And what is a good thing to do to help you not to 'snap'....breathe and count to 10! Or if you do 'snap' then to calm yourself down.....breathe!!.....just like in a yoga or mediation class!

And why red and blue....the red colour of anger moving to the cool, calming colour of blue!

A 'CAS' card yes, but I promise you, a lot of thought went into its creation!!

Plus when I showed it to hubby to see if he could tell me how I went from snap to this card-he said the cut/torn part was like I had snapped the card.....nope I didn't see this until he mentioned it!!

I used the stamp set 'Breathe' from CAS-ual Fridays

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Cathy. I have admired Cathy's creative and inspiring cards for many years now and am delighted she is joining us-take a look at her blog here

Then pop back to see what Cathy and the DT have made for you here

Enjoy!

I m going to add this to:

CASology-Sports-it is the perfect expression for 'Yoga'...going from that feeling of being stressed to the relation you feel as you breathe into a stretch and after a class!!

Inkspirational #166

Hi All

A new challenge starts today at Inkspirational
This time is was my turn to choose the challenge and I chose:

Make a card is 10 mins or less

The 10 mins starts when you actually start making your card-you can collect all the items you need to make the card before you start that clock!
We would love to know how long it took you to make this-just for fun!

This card was all made from items I had in my stash. The only thing I needed to do was to make the dry embossed background. I got all the items together together and then started my timer-it took me 8 mins and 32 seconds to make. We would love to know how long it took you-just for some fun!

The Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Deanne-check out her amazing blog here

You can see what Deanne and the DT made here...who can make the quickest card???

Enjoy!!

I will enter this into:

And the photo that inspired this card.

I was inspired by the background wood, the colours and the shape.

Inkspirational #163

Hi All
We start a new challenge at Inkspirational today and it is Nonni who has set the challenge.

She wants us to use small stamps in our designs. The guidelines for this our:

Use small stamps to create your design -stamps smaller than 2 inch diameter. (eg coin sized) . You may use one or two large stamps (eg sentiment) but the majority of your design should be small stamps.

Here is what I came up with:

Using tiny snowdrop stamps from the set Let it Snow by Happy Little Stampers combined with a sentiment from Uniko

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Valerie-take a look at her inspiring blog here.

For more inspiration pop on over to Inkspirational and see what Valerie and the DT have created to inspire you.

Enjoy!

These stamps are all from the 'Floral Frame' set Avery Elle

Inkspiational #160

Hi There,

This week teamie at Inkspirational Shauna has chosen the challenge and to my delight she challenges us to use the colours:

Purple and Gold

Well this has to be the easiest challenge Shauna has set for me at Inkspirational to date. She usually has me printing on designer paper or something way out of my comfort zone! So thank you Shauna for going a bit easier on me this time!

All of these butterflies and sentiments are from the STAMPlorations set 'Trendy Butterflies 2'. I have used 2 different shades of Catherine Pooler Inks.

I will enter this into:

CASology-Jungle-I checked it out-you do get some butterflies in the Jungle e.g The Blue Morpho butterfly....so mine are purple but heh...artist license!!

Inkspirational #159

Hello There

First off I wanted to apologise for not visiting your blogs or Instagram accounts for a while. I have been poorly for a few weeks and am still recovering. Had to cancel a holiday to New York for my husband's 50th Birthday, made even more disappointing as I had plans to meet 6 crafty friends. I have a number of posts already scheduled....I always plan ahead as my health does have a tendency to play up without warning!. So my blog hasn't and won't be completely empty...although IG isn't get any action from me! I am hoping to visit you all soon and bet I have missed a whole lot of crafty goodness!

Time for a new 'word prompt' challenge at Inkspirational and the word is:

PLAY

And I created this:

I was thinking that we all like to craft and that is our 'playtime!'
The sentiment is from The Ton. This design looks really simple but did take me a while to decide how to put it all together. However that embossed, shiny and purple card and purple stars were all pressies from crafting packs I got from my blogging friends on my Birthday last year-yes girls....they are still being used!!

In the end I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Sarah. I am sure many of you know Sarah and her amazing blog, Sazzle Dazzle. She is an inspiring CAS designer who I have admired for so many years now. I have got to know her through different Design Teams we have been on together. We have a lot of laughs together!

Check out what Sarah and the DT have made here and then get inky!

Inkspirational #158

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.

This week it is our photo challenge and here is what I created:

And the photo that inspired this:

I went with the silhouette and the splashes of water

The sentiment is from STAMPlorations-Strong Women. The silhouette was a pressie from team member at Time Out-Gerrina. I heat embossed it on some brusho water colour card. Just some I had left over in my stash. Added a small strip of the same card at the bottom of the pale blue card.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is another teamie from Time Out-Anita. I am a huge fan of Anita and have been for a long time. Her creativity is an inspiration. Check out her blog here and you will see what I mean!

Then pop back to Inkspirational to see what the Design Team have made to inspire you-all super cards!

Inkspirational #157

Hi All

We have our Designer's challenge today. This time it is the amazingly talented and creative Carol's choice and she went with:

Mythical

I have no fairy, unicorn etc stamps so had to turn to my trusty thesaurus for a helping hand! And in there I found 'mythical' described as 'Imagination'. I knew I had a sentiment stamp that fitted this (a pressie from my dear friend and teamie Nonni). So went with this:

A quick and easy all stamping card-my fav!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Mimi. Check out her amazing blog here and then go over to Inkspirational and see what the DT have created to inspire you.

Enjoy x

I will enter this into:
AAA Cards Challenge-use a third.

Inkspirational #154

Hi All

It is our Designer's Choice challenge starting today.

Our super talented teamie Kylie has chosen:

'Aperture Cards'

This basically means a card with some kind of window/hole in it, or more than one.

I went with an oval window.

I just cut the oval and added some card behind it that I had previously water coloured.
The floral die has been carefully placed over the aperture. I am not sure where this die is from as it was a pressie from Kylie.
The sentiment is from Kylie's Happy Little Stampers Store

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Jen-check out her stunning blog here

Then pop over to Inkspirational and see what the DT have made-all inspiring!

Enjoy x
