Time Out #121

Hi All

Before I tell you about our new challenge at Time Out, I want to apologise for not visiting your blogs much recently-you know I love to come around and support you as much as I can. But at the moment there is a lot of stressful situations I am dealing with IRL! I am trying to visit IG and say hello there and hopefully will soon be back showing you all the support you deserve!

Time for another challenge at Time Out.
This time we are asking you to be 'Inspired by Word'

I went with the whole phrase as my dear friend, Nonni and teamie at Time Out, has recently moved to a new flat. You are always a little scared and apprehensive about moving somewhere new but in the end, you overcome this and are usually really grateful you took that step and have a new cosy new home!

The die cut here is from Poppy Stamps and was a pressie from my lovely teamie here at Time Out, Joyce-thank you Joyce, I love it. The die is simply topped onto some Autumn inspired water coloured card

Hi All

Time for you to take some Time Out and play in our Theme Challenge at Time Out



Many of you will know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we do a challenge each year to help to raise awareness.We hope you will do the same and join in with us.

If you don't want to make a Breast Cancer Awareness card specifically then you can make a friendship card-we all need hugs.

I went with brightly coloured snowflakes and the perfect sentiment for this challenge!

Time Out Challenge #115

Hi All

A new challenge starts today at Time Out Challenges.

It is our 'Theme' challenge with have the optional twist of making a 'one layer' card!

Our sponsors for this challenge are the wonderful Birch Press Designs

They are offering a $20 gift voucher to their store. We will do a random draw from all those who use of twist of making a 'one layer' card-the winner of this will get the this voucher!

This is actually a CASE of this card by Jane. As soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to make. I didn't want to copy it straight out so used some different grunge stamps and sentiment-thanks for the inspiration Jane!

The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays and the grunge set was a pressie from my crafty buddy Shauna. Shauna sent it to me saying she thought it would be a great set for making one layer cards-you were right Shauna-thank you so much x

I have used the sentiment stamp Sunny Side-Say it Big from our wonderful sponsors STAMPlorations  My sun rays are water splashes from a stamp set by Papertrey Ink

I mainly went with the idea of this looking to me like a beach house and it is always sunny by the beach! My sun rays were inspired by the watercolour painting.

I loved making my this card. I had the idea in my head and it worked straight away and it was my fav kind of card-simply stamp and go!

Hi There,

Time for a new challenge and we have our 'Inspired by Words' challenge and the words are:



What a beautiful quote! 

You can use any of these words, just one or the whole phrase-hard to choose we know!!

I went with 'Smile' and created this:

I have used a wonderful star stencil from our sponsor today Sarah who has her own store full of goodies that you can find here. The winner of this challenge will get 3 stencils of their choice from this fabulous store. You can check out Sarah's Instagram account here to see her cards using her stencils-they are fab!!

I simple sponged through the stencil using this as my background and then heat embossed the 'Smile' from the CAS-ual Fridays 'Sassy Smiles' stamp set. Using the part of the same stamp set I white heat emboss the rest of the sentiment on black card and popped it up. Added a few star enamel dots and done!

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges.

We are challengeing you to be:

'Warm'

I immediately thought of sunshine but then deicdd to go a completely different way and thought of a warm up of tea. And what could be more refreshing than a warm cuppa on a hot day.

Those who follow me will be thinking....no, Sandie didn't make this...but I did!

I sent it to a teamie at Time Out as she is a sweet beautiful friend, but I also wanted to give her a kick and a laugh when she opened it and realised it was from me!

Any holiday you want and I went with Christmas and made this super CAS card:

Using the Joy Stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays. I love this set-the perfect one for one layer cards.

I went with 'flower' and 'friends'...I know, pretty obvious!

I don't usually make square cards and don't know why I really did here, it just seemed right at the time!

Hi There,

It is time for us to take TIME OUT and play along with our new challenge at Time Out.

We are challenging you to be:

WILD

I had lots of ideas for this but decided to go with the fact that I am 'Wild' about 'Love'. Aren't we all!
And is there better way to show this than getting married!

Here I have used the die set Flawless Heart Cutaways from our amazing sponsor Winnie and Walter. The sentiment is one I have had for ages and haven't used for a while but it so versatile and needed a dusting off!

This is a Wedding Card for my cousin and I actually got the design idea from their beautiful invitation-you can see the invite at the bottom of this post (just ignore the pin holes-I have it pinned to my craft board!)
