Time Out #105 -our 4th Birthday!

Hi All

At Time Out we are having a celebration as it is our 4th Birthday!!

Yes, we have been around for 4 years now! Hard to believe we have all been taking TIME OUT to craft together for this long.

I want to thank you all for your support and hope you have had as much fun as I have. Without you we could not have got the grand old age of 4!!

I want to thank my Design Team for all the work they have done. Some of the team have been with us now for 4 years and we have added to the team with some more amazing designers who have been with us for at least 2 years now. I thank you all for the support you give me, your hard work and continual inspiration.

To celebrate our 4th Birthday we have a fun quote for you that we hope will inspire you to create.
You can use any of the words in this quote-just one of them if you want. Or perhaps the whole quote makes you want to create. We don't mind, we just can't wait to see what you make.

We are very excited as this challenge is sponsored by Concord and 9th-a new sponsor for us this year. We love their products and you will see the Design Team have used many of their products to show you how amazing they are!

Concord and 9th are joining in with celebrations on their blog-check it out here to see how they are partying along with us!

Thank you Concord and 9th for all your support.

The winner of this challenge will get a $25 gift voucher to spend in their store!!

Claire is our Guest Designer for this challenge and I couldn't be happier! Claire has supported Time Out since our first challenge. I love all her entries and she has won quite a few times! Her cards are so very creative and I urge you to go and have a look at her blog Life on The Scrap Heap-you will love what you see.

Here is my card using their products:

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Claire. Claire has supported us since we began 4 years ago and we couldn't be happier that she is joining us to celebrate being 4!!
I am sure many of you know how talented Claire is. Her blog Life on The Scrap Heap is a delight to visit-go on over there and check out her amazing cards. You will love what you see.

Another Christmas in March Card!

Hi All

Another Christmas card inspired by a few challenges. This time a one layer card that will be great for posting abroad!

The layout is from CAS Colours and Sketches. I loved this sketch as soon as I saw it. Unfortunately I only have a small Misit so I have to eye ball when using long border stamps but think this time I did a pretty good job!

The Christmas tree border is from Uniko

I went with greens so I could join in the 'green' Verve Inspiration Challenge. This sentiment is from one of my first sets from Verve.

I used 2 different greens (I only have 2 greens) alternating the colours in this ombre look for the AAA challenge. And this will also fit in with the monochromatic challenge at Less is More

The challenges I will enter are:
Less is More-Monochrome

Merry And Bright

Hi All

Popping in with a card I made today for a few challenges.

The stamps and dies are all from the 'Shine Brighter' collection from Concord and 9th.

I used the sketch at Where Creativity Meets C9.

I got the colour scheme from the photo at Merry Monday-the off white card is meant to show the cream of the foam. I particularly used this card as it has a creamy like texture but unfortunately you can't see this in the photo.

Have a fun day x

Inkspirational #156

Hello,

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.
It is our word prompt and the word is:

Work
We all have 'bosses' right, unless you are one!

In the crafting world we should consider ourselves as all bosses....as we are the boss of what we create and don't we love being the boss of that!

The sentiment is from The Ton. The background is made from brushos and I have to admit I didn't create this myself-the lovely and talented Kylie made this when she was over to stay last November! The tag dies are from CAS-ual Fridays.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Bharati Her blog is full of inspiring projects. Take a look here. I have been following Bharati for some time now and adore her CAS style.

Then pop over to our main blog at Inkspirational and see what the talented DT have created using 'Work' as a prompt.

Enjoy x

Be Unique!

Hello,

When I saw the 'Abstract' challenge at CASology, I knew I had to play along. I love abstract art and had a go at creating my own version, helped along by a few other challenges.

I used the following challenges to help me create this card and will enter them all

Freshly Made Sketches-gave me my design.
Less is More-Monochrome-gave me the idea of using just purples, even down to the base card.
AAA Cards-ombre-gave me the idea of using the changing purples.

I used 3 different purple shade inks from Catherine Pooler. I just roughly inked them onto this grunge stamp. Then I used a sizzix die to cut out this splatter. I then cut out the same splatter die in purple fun foam . Layered the ombre card splatter on top of the foam offsetting it so it looks like a shadow. A few different shades of purple enamel dots to finish this off and here you have my version of an 'abstract arty' card!

This was a really fun card to make and came out exactly as I had it in my head....that doesn't happen often!

Have a fun day x

Rainbows!

Hi All

Here is today's card, inspired by a few challenges:

At CAS-ual Fridays the challenge is 'Beautiful Rainbows'. So I used their background stamp Heart to Heart, heat embossing it in white. I then water coloured over this in rainbow colours. I let the colours run into each other. That little tag is also from CAS-ual Friday and you can see it here

The layout is from Viva La Verve a monthly sketch challenge run by Verve I find these sketches a real challenge but after seeing Teresa's arty take on this sketch, I followed suit. And love how it turned out-thank you Teresa! The sentiment is from the set Button Best from Verve. In the middle I also used the 'Mother's Day' sentiment from the same set. As this card is off to my Mother in Law.

Not my normal style but now and then a touch of water colouring really relaxes me.

I will also enter this into:

Enjoy your Day x

Time Out #104

Hello crafting friends,

Time to take some Time Out and craft with Time Out Challenges

We are challenging you to be:

There are so many ways to go with this word but I went for Bold colours-not too original but this was a fun card to make.

Our sponsors for this challenge are Poppystamps and my card is made using their products. The butterfly die is one of Poppy Stamps-Embossed Heart Butterfly. I cut this using very thin red vellum so the hearts don't show up but I still love the look of this butterfly.

Poppy Stamps have a great store and it is a delight to visit and is packed with top quality goodies-take a look here. They also have a fab blog. Take a look at it here and sign up so you don't miss out on all the fun!

Starting today on their blog they are running a 'Clean and Simple' challenge. So if you have some of their products and make a clean and simple card for our challenge...then link it up to their challenge for a chance to win more prizes!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Marieke. Her cards are so inspiring and you can check them out here

Marieke and the DT have all gone 'Bold' for you in their won special way-check that out here

Enjoy!
