Inkspirational #181

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.

Our super teamie Carol has asked us to:

USE OUR STASH

After a hunt through my stash box, here is what I made:

When I first began I had no idea what I was going to make. A hunt through and play around with some gorgeous stash goodies that had been sent to me from my teamies at Time Out....I came up with this.
I got the cluster of flowers from Stephnanie and the wooden centre dot and small card base from Jenny-you know these are stash that my Time Out teamies sent me 2 Birthdays ago...they all sent me so much I still have it and use it regularly-how fab is that!

So not strictly 'my stash' but kept in 'my stash' box and I consider it mine!!

We have the fabulous Lindsey joining us for this challenge and she has made an amazing card. Her blog Bashful Blogging is well worth a visit, it is full of inspiring projects.

Then pop on over to Inkspirational and see what the DT have made to inspire you.

Enjoy!

I will enter this into:
The Card Concept-look at those background flowers, the colours and fan shapes-these are inspiration (my card is CAS and layered)

Lemons or Vodka???

Do I really need to ask???

Here is another 'one layer card' that focuses on the sentiment for Less is More

All stamps are from Wplus9. A set sent to me by my dear friend Jill-thanks Jill!

I just did a bit of masking to get the 2 colours onto the one sentiment...a little tricky but I did it after a few failed attempts.

Have a vodka on me!

I will also enter this into:

Addicted to Stamps and More-CAS

Dance the Waves of the Storm.

Happy Monday

I hope your week has started well.

When I saw the challenge of 'Waves' at CASology, I knew I wanted to make a card about 'waves of emotions', but couldn't find a sentiment that I wanted to use. And it wasn't until the challenge at Less is More-focus on the sentiment, one layer card-that I thought of this sentiment!

I thought the whole sentiment summed up 'waves of emotions' but also that a 'storm' produces 'waves' of water, winds etc
Now I look at the card the dancer's body seems to curl around the sentiment like a 'wave'-this is just not my intention when I made the card, but I see it now!!

Oh and I just realised this works for AAA card challenge-use one corner with the optional twist of music-my card uses the optional twist...can't dance without music!!

Have a fun day x

Another Stencil!

Hi All

I know I have gone a bit stencil mad this week!!

This time I used a new to me technique that I picked up from this tutorial by Loll-it is using brushos with stencils. Her advice was so easy to follow I actually did the stencil in less than 5 mins...my kind of crafting! I obviously had to wait until it dried and then design the rest of the card but I am definitely going to do this again.

I used another of Funky Fossil Design stencils and lemon brusho.

I cut off the edge of the heart for more interest using a stitched die and added this Concord and 9th sentiment-stamped in 'Juniper Mist' Catherine Pooler Ink-which is a lovely navy.

I made this for the 8th Birthday of Less is More-Yellow and Navy-I have actually been thinking of ideas for this for 2 weeks as I knew I wanted to use a navy base but only got the idea after seeing the challenge and CAS Stencil-to use powered inks-mine being brushos (I can't believe I entered a stencil challenge!!)

I am also going to enter this into the (Pin)spirational Challenge-the flowers-like in my stencil-and the little yellow love heart sweets are an inspiration!

This was a fun card to make!

Enjoy Friday x

Challenge #129 Time Out

Hi All,

Time for a new challenge at Time Out.

It is our theme challenge:

I went with Retro Colours and came up with this:

Don't forget, on our 'theme' challenges you can choose to go 'one layer' card . If you do make a 'one layer' card you are in for a chance to win our prize of 3 stencils from our sponsors Funky Fossils Designs-we choose this randomly.

This is the
Beautiful Mandala Stencil from their store. Sarah is the designer and makes these stencils-she is so very creative and actually used to be a Design Team member on Time Out-we miss her!. Her blog is Funky Fossil Designs

This is really my first go at using a big stencil like this but loved doing it and will try it more often.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very creative Esther. She is an amazing designer and we are so pleased she could join us for this challenge. Her blog Shoregirl's Creations is a delight to visit-pop on over there!

Then rush right over to Time Out and see what amazing cards they have made to inspire you to go 'retro' with us!

Enjoy!!

Twofer Stars

Hi There

I have been doing a bit more stencilling!

And I finally got to enter the Twofer Card Challenge-which is all about 'Stars'.
I have entered once before but for some reason I usually have no ideas for this challenge-but not this month!

I have used another stencil from Sarah's online shop here. I used the star stencil!.

Here are the two cards together:

The pink card could be used for many occasions such as a Birthday, Congrats card or just genrally telling someone how fab they are!

And the second is a Chrsitmas card-another one to add to my stock!

Both cards were inspired by other challenges.

This card was inspired by both the sketch and the pink and gold in the photo at Fusion-see below.

This card was inspired by the single sketch at Stick it down.

Have a great day x
