I made cards!

Hi All

I finally made some cards!

I was inspired by the Twofer Card Challenge 'Garden' and used this floral sparkle wreath die to make 2 different kinds of cards. This die was a pressie from teamie, Jill at Time Out-thanks Jill!

Here are the 2 cards together-sorry for poor photo but light was not so good!

The first card is a Birthday card where I used the wreath off the edge and just popped a sparkle flower in the centre (a pressie from teamie Anila at Inkspirational-thanks Anila). Added the enamel dot for some colour:

And the second card I went with Christmas, using the floral wreath as a Xmas wreath! Also there are, what look like snowflakes, all around the wreath. Just die cut it and added mirri card underneath! And a label with a touch of the mirri card!

Time Out #139

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out and it is our 'Inspired by Words' challenge.

Here is my card:

Here I used the stamp set Book and Film Stamp Set by our fabulous sponsor Catherine Pooler

I know there is so much to be inspired by in this phrase and as I was looking through the stamps sets at Catherine Pooler my eye was caught by this movie and books set and my original ideas were forgotten! 

My mind went to the word 'Happy' and what makes me happy.....and guess what movies do!!

Hubby and I spend as much time as we can going to the movies and I have a very special friend who loves doing the same with her hubby....so this is her 'Happy Birthday' card!! I find it funny the way inspiration takes us!

I used a previously made watercolour background and just placed this butterfly die-given to me in one of the crafty goodies gifts my dear friend Joyce sent me....she sends me so many beautiful packages all full of the most wonderful crafting joys! Thank you Joyce for your kindness x 

I love purple and yellow together so added a few enamel dots to finish the card.

Nap-time!

Hi All

Popping in with a 'stamp and go', one layer card for you...well for hubby on his next visit away for work. Gosh I am prepared this time-card 2 done already!

I love the stamp Naptimes from Newton's Nook and I have used it already where I coloured each cushion and the cat.....yet to be seen as a future DT card. But this time I had this idea just to keep it plain and add the sentiment across it, using the hearts as I would normally my enamel dots.

My extra design touches were just the rounded edge and 3 little score lines at the top-can't see these too well in the photo but IRL they do add a nice touch.

Well...my kind of card-one layer, stamp and go and now time for chores!

The Calming feeling of Love coming Home!

Hi All

I had fun making this card-after having no mojo for a while, I suddenly make 2 cards in 2 days!

Getting my cards ready to give to hubby for his next working trip away-this time Hong Kong!

I don't like him being away and there is nothing more calming to me than when he walks through to the door and is home again! 

I met Cornelia in London a few weeks ago and she gave me this set of stamps from Unity 

I knew exactly what I would use it for!

I was going to go Black for the map but the colours at Less is More this week inspired me to be a bit more adventurous-2 colours I would not have thought of using myself. The sentiment I just popped up.

And I do love that Winnie and Walter frame.
