Hi All

A new challenge starts today at Inkspirational
This time is was my turn to choose the challenge and I chose:

Make a card is 10 mins or less

The 10 mins starts when you actually start making your card-you can collect all the items you need to make the card before you start that clock!
We would love to know how long it took you to make this-just for fun!

This card was all made from items I had in my stash. The only thing I needed to do was to make the dry embossed background. I got all the items together together and then started my timer-it took me 8 mins and 32 seconds to make. We would love to know how long it took you-just for some fun!

I have used the sentiment stamp Sunny Side-Say it Big from our wonderful sponsors STAMPlorations  My sun rays are water splashes from a stamp set by Papertrey Ink

Here is the photo that inspired my card:

I mainly went with the idea of this looking to me like a beach house and it is always sunny by the beach! My sun rays were inspired by the watercolour painting.

I loved making my this card. I had the idea in my head and it worked straight away and it was my fav kind of card-simply stamp and go!

I just love this photo and just picked out the colours and as it looks to me like a beach house I thought it was the perfect place to relax!

Calling All Sistahs July Challenge

Hi Sistahs,


I am here with our monthly Calling All Sistahs Encouragement challenge from CAS-ual Fridays. Our little bunch of Sistahs are all about raising awareness for Breast Cancer and would love you to join our monthly challenge.

What do we mean by an 'Encouragement' card? Well anything that would brighten someone's day. I am sure you have plenty of ideas of how to do this and make cards like this every time you sit down you craft. So why not share them with us?

We have a photo and some colours to inspire you. Use either the photo or the colours-you don't need to use both but can if you want.

Here I have used the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp set 'Breathe'

I was a bit stuck here at first with this photo but suddenly inspiration struck me looking at the lower part of the photo and the stripes of colour on the back board-not sure exactly what they are but they gave me the idea of using the stripes from this set in our colours. And the sentiment would surely encourage any one that needed it!

Inkspirational #165

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational

Nice and easy and I made a masculine card for this:

Using my fav combo of colours for cards-purple and yellow.

This doe was a pressie from a crafting buddy and sure made it easy to make this card.

Christmas in July!

Hi There,

Popping in with a CAS card for the Christmas challenge at AAA cards

This card was inspired by DT member Maaike with this card. Her card reminded me I have this stamp. I had to think hard on how to CASE her card so it wasn't a complete copy and think I got there-Thanks Maarike for the inspiration.

I used delicata ink to stamp my reindeer onto this pretty frame. The background card was used as I thought it had a woody feel to it. Just added a few gold enamel dots and a sentiment-both from the sponsors of this challenge Happy Little Stampers.

Hi There

Popping in with a card inspired by the latest challenge at The Library Challenge.

Here is what I created:

 Marina is challenging us to be inspired by the book 'Hollywood Wive's'. You can be inspired by the Title, the Book Cover or the Story.

I was inspired by the Hollywood in the title...they are all super stars in Hollywood!

My layout I got from the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch

I was actually in the middle of making a watercolouring card when this idea just popped in my head and off I went and made this. The other card will have to wait until another day now...at the least what I have water coloured so far will be dry!!

Olive and Tangerine!!

Hi There,

This week I haven't crafted much but today I found some mojo when some new goodies I had ordered yesterday from Uniko arrived this morning!

One of those goodies was the Gerbera Dies-I have had the stamps for ages and finally decided to buy the matching dies and made this card:

I heat embossed the gerbera stamp in white then die cut it before water colouring it in orange. I heat embossed the sentiment in tangerine embossing powder.

I used a left over frame from my stash box-it was left over from cutting a fishtail tag! I found some old 'olive' coloured card and just layered this behind my frame. Then went about arranging it, until I was happy with the result.

Time Out Challenge #113

Hi There,

Time for a new challenge and we have our 'Inspired by Words' challenge and the words are:



What a beautiful quote! 

You can use any of these words, just one or the whole phrase-hard to choose we know!!

I went with 'Smile' and created this:

I have used a wonderful star stencil from our sponsor today Sarah who has her own store full of goodies that you can find here. The winner of this challenge will get 3 stencils of their choice from this fabulous store. You can check out Sarah's Instagram account here to see her cards using her stencils-they are fab!!

I simple sponged through the stencil using this as my background and then heat embossed the 'Smile' from the CAS-ual Fridays 'Sassy Smiles' stamp set. Using the part of the same stamp set I white heat emboss the rest of the sentiment on black card and popped it up. Added a few star enamel dots and done!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very creative Amanda. Her blog Diamond Laine Designs is a delight to visit and full of stunning cards-pop on over there now and you will love what you see!

Inspired by CAS-ual Friday Photo!

Hi All

I haven't been posting much except DT cards recently but I have been crafting behind the scenes. Mainly making future DT cards but today I have a card I made 'just for fun!'

It has been in the making for a week as it steps me out of my CAS style! Always take me a little longer but I had this idea and made it in bits until it was all ready to put together.

It was inspired totally by the photo at CAS-ual Fridays Inspiration Challenge

I was inspired by:

-Firework colours

-the sparkle of the fireworks

-the black base-it reminded me of New Year-a time for love-my hubby is my best friend and as well as lover!!

All stamps and dies I have used are from CAS-ual Fridays-you will see links to actual products below.

I initially got the idea when I saw this fabulous card by DT member Michelle. I loved how she used the background stamp to give the firework effect. I did the same using the Heart to Heart background stamp. I heat embossed this in white and then used the purple and yellow firework colours to  water colour the background-thanks Michele for the inspiration x

I then die but the Heart Board Fri-dies from glitter purple card and layered them up with the top one on foam.

To finish off a purple glitter card strip and the sentiment from the set Mon Ami

It did take me a while to do all the sections but it is fun to step out of the comfort zone and I actually like how it turned out!!
