Diwali Blog Hop

Hi All

Have you seen the Diwali Blog hop going on?
It is amazing what our community are doing and if you read from here-you will see what an amazing cause this is being done for-by a wondeful set of Ladies from our lovely card community.

I thought I would make a card for this to let you know about it and also for my hubby to give to some of his co-workers who celebrate Diwali.

I based my card on the logo that has been used for this hop, trying to get all colours in!

Here is the logo I based this on:

I used all Mudra Stamps

Go on-pop on over to Anila's blog to find out more about the hop and Diwali, see some amazing cards and get the chance of winning some fab prizes!

I will enter the 'Festival' challenge at CrafTangles

I went with 'Love' and this card I made for a very dear, dear friend-who loves navy blue...the sentiment is inked in navy blue but it does look black here!

This challenge is sponsored by Uniko and here I have used their stamp set You Are, Yes

The stitched die panel is from STAMPlorations.

Our DT have all made amazing cards-pop on over to Time Out and have a look!

Then take some Time Out and play along with us!

Inkspirational #198

Hi All

Our new word prompt at Inkspirational is:

MASK

This made me think of how we all mask our feeling sometimes and went on a hunt through my crafting goodies to represent this is some way and made this:

We often 'smile' to mask how we feel inside!

I have used a stencil from Funky Fossil Designs.
The 'Smile' Die and sentiment comes from CAS-ual Fridays stamps

Our team have all made super cards-check them out here

And then get crafty!

Enjoy!

Folksy Christmas

Hi All

Popping in with a card I made for a few challenges:

I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and the colours at color Throwdown-red, yellow and brown

I used a bauble stamp and sentiments from Funky Fossil Designs-Floksy Christmas. I stamped the baubles and then die cut the 'JOY' from Winnie and Walter. I die cut 'JOY' again in some brown fun foam and re-added the bauble-adding lots of sparkle to the 'JOY' but hard to see in this photo (London is rainy and dull!). The sentiments are also stamped in brown.

Another Xmas card done!

Enjoy your day x

Time Out #146

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out.

This time we are challengeing you to be 'Encouraging'

I actually sent this as a Birthday card but to one of my dear blogging friends who has always encouraged me....so thought it suitable for this challenge. I chose the dancer's colour as I know she loves bright colours in her own card making!

Using the sentiment from our wonderful sponsors Newton's Nook-from the set Uplifting Wishes

The dancer is from Visible Image

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the amazing Shawna. Her blog is a delight to visit-check it out here, you will see how inspiring she is and come back ready to get crafty with us!

Check out here what Shawna and the Desgin Team have created to inspire you.
Then time for some Time Out and get 'Encouraging'!!

I am going to enter this into:

CASology-Feather-this dancer is playing Swan Lake and her tutu is made of feathers....plus we all know dancer's are as 'light as a feather'!

Always and Forever!

Hi All

Quick hello today for a card for the challenge at Less is More-we pick-you pick. I picked the sparkle and gloss and came up with this using gloss card, mirri gloss card and glitter card:

This card may look CAS but took me forever to make. The die from Simon Says was a pressie from a very dear crafty friend-not been used and was sat on my desk waiting. Wow I love it but hard for me. I made an inlaid die and had to cut out so mnay times to get it right! But I love it.

Decided to channel my inner Marlena who makes making cards using layers and angles look so easy....well not for me!

After making this card-I do love it-but I remembered why I am a lover of just good old stamps and ink!!

Sentiment from Uniko

Crafting Friends Across The World!

Hi All

I have met so many friends through crafting from all across the globe!

And one of the joys for me is learning about their cultures, their traditions and just basic everyday lifes.

It is something I treasure very much.

This last year many of my new friends are from India and through them I have learnt so much. My husband has been to India working twice this year and has even met my very dear friend Ishani.

So today to celebrate all my new friends in India I have my first ever Diwali card (more coming later in the week).

Fesitival Season is on now in October and from what I see-they sure have fun celebrating their traditions!

Here is the card I made-one layer as easy to post!

All stamps are from Mudra Stamps and inside I have used a Craftysrappers greeting (but forgot to photograph!)

I have another Diwali card to post later in the week.

Happy Day x

Inkspirational #197

Hi All,

A new challenge starts today at Inkspirational and it is our photo challenge.

This card was made a while ago and went off to my Dad in June-in the centre of the card it says 'You are pretty amazing'....and he is xx

Inspired by this photo:

I just zoomed in on the one single leaf!
The leaf from Dare 2B Artsy was simply stamped and the same with the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps
After it was all stamped, I used a wood grain embossing plate to add texture.

Our DT have all made super cards-take a look here and then get inky!

Enjoy!

Sparkle and Gloss!

Hi All

I wanted to have a go at the latest challenge at Less is More-'we pick, you pick' and here is what I came up with:

They chose 'sparkle' and I chose 'gloss'.

My sparkle is the tree die from Sizzix-quite hard to see how sparkly it is IRL-but it really is! Made from glitter card.

Then I hunted my stash for this gloss card I knew I had somewhere and yep I finally found it. IRL it looks less pink but I like it either way. This snowy hill is a die from My Favorite Things

I used this textured base as thought it looked like snow and balanced off the card with a Uniko sentiment.

This was fun to make but did take a while to get all the elements in the right place to please my eye!

Have a fun day x
