Enjoy!

Hi All

I have had the idea for this card in my head since seeing To Bee or Not To Bee Blog Hop on Milka's blog-there she tells us all about how important Bees are to our environment-find out more here.

I was waiting for a colour scheme I liked to make it-thanks to Cupcake Inspirations that came along!

I was going to make this a one layer card but decided to go with the sketch at Paper Players.

Here is what I came up with:

The stamps are from 2 different Funky Fossils sets.

I think this sentiment is so perfect for so many occasions-but this one is off for a Birthday to a friend who loves pink!

Have a fun day x
Cupcake Inspirations-the card for the label is cream.

Crafty Friends!

Hello Crafty Friends,

Having a lazy day at home today and saw some challenges that inspired me to create this card:

I liked the photo at Just Us Girls and couldn't get the back of the chairs out of my head...they look like paint splashes to me and I kept wondering how I could use this idea.
Then along came the Rainbow Challenge at Addicted to CAS-so colours sorted.

Then today I saw that it is AAA Cards 6th Birthday-yah, Happy Birthday to you! So I had to join in and set myself the challenge of making a super, super CAS card for their Birthday and combining the other 2 challenges-I think I got it! And obviously it is for a crafty friend's Birthday!!

I wasn't going to add anything else but couldn't resist adding my favorite embellishments as it just seemed to finish off the card to me-I will add the card to As You Like It Challenge-favorite embellishments and why-obviously enamel dots and to me they add the perfect finishing touch (plus I am a bit addicted to them!!)

I know this looks like it was made in 5 mins but actually took ages to get it just right, with a lot of thinking time too!

Enjoy your day!

Dotty About You!

Happy Weekend to all!

Just popping in with a card I made for a few challenges:

It is 'one layer week' at Less is More and you know I love my one layer cards! They are asking for 'Going Dotty' cards!
Well I knew the exact set I wanted to use and made this card for hubby as the poor thing must go 'dotty' living with me! But after so many years I am still 'dotty' in love with him!

I used the colour scheme at Color Throwdown-just the 'you' is in grey and all dots are yellow!!

Oh how I stamping one layer CAS cards!

Enjoy x

Enjoy the Little Things!

Hi All

This sentiment is so apt at the moment I think and I try to do this even when times are easier! The simple things like listening to the birds and watching the leaves just gently sway in the wind can be a way to enjoy the little things-what are the small things that you enjoy? Would love to know!

This card was inspired by a few challenges-see below.

These stamps are all from the set In the Meadow Funky Fossil Designs.

I was inspired by the way Jen used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches-I always love the way Jen interprets sketches-thanks Jen for always inspiring me.

And I just loved the soft colours in the photo at Inspired By. I don't have many pastel colour inks but do have a few from Catherine Pooler-which we all know stamp perfectly. And chose 3 from the photo.

I was going to use different stamps but went with the same one so I could use the option at AAA Cards and stamped lower so it is only one third.

I enjoyed making this and am happening with how it turned out!

Have a good day and enjoy the little things!

What is happening!

Hi All

I hope your day is going well.

I am not too sure what is happening to me!
As you know I love stamps and ink only but today somehow I wanted to colour and then this led me to making a shaker.....which I have only made one before and I get in a real pickle trying to do them. However this turned out not so bad!

I coloured the Uniko flower using the colours from Just Us Girls and even had a go at adding detail with a white gel pen (a pressie for my Birthday from hubby) but have no idea how to do this so will be asking Nonni how to do this as she is the expert!

Then had to hunt for some acetate to make the shaker!

Oh well....way out of my comfort zone but a change and fun!

I will enter into:

Inkspirational-shake-girls when I saw this challenge, there was no way I was going to enter!!
Just Us Girls-colour week
Uniko-AG with twist of Bright and Happy-I went with the twist!

Have a fun day x

Be The Wild Flower!

Hi All

I don't usually post twice in one day but have been a bit more crafty today than normal...2 cards in one day is a lot for me!

Here is what I made inspired by the challenges below and my dear crafty friend Anita's card here. I am the lucky owner of her striped card and just had to do my own version-thank you Anita for the inspiration.

The challenges that inspired this are:

As you Like It Challenge-your favourite colour with purple-well I just love yellow with purple as I am sure many of you know!
Fusion-I went with the sketch and one of the colours from the photo.
Uniko Challenge-AG-I went with option of Bright and Happy!

That's me for today and hope you had a good one x

You are all Beautiful to me!

Hi All

And a very Happy Weekend to you!

Here is a card I made with the new stamps I got from Funky Fossil Designs

I based this layout on CAS(E) This Sketch and also for AAA Cards-use a third, option not taken.

Have a super day my crafty friends x

You Are A Star!

Hi All

I was inspired to try layering stencils after I saw Darnell try it here. I loved how her card turned out and as I have just got into stencilling I thought I would try layering them! Thanks for the inspiration Darnell! This is the theme at CAS Stencil Challenge

Here is what I came up with:

I was inspired to use these colours after I saw the photo at Fusion this week. I love how these colours blend and tried using the same but sponging with distress inks with this 'spotlight' stencil from Funky Fossil Designs. I then layered up the star stencil and just used a section of it-stencil also from Funky Fossil.

I had to hunt for this sentiment from The Ton Stamps but I knew it would fit perfectly.

My first go at layering stencils but I do like how it turned out!

This spotlight stencil only arrived yesterday so I will enter it into Darnell's NBUS

You are all stars to me!

Enjoy your day x

Hi All

Another Christmas card for you:

The die is from Penny Black. And the sentiment from Uniko

I made this with the colours from Color Throw down but didn't realise that it was the colours from last week!

I used the sketch at CAS Colour and Sketches for my layout-using the score lines as part of this.

I will also enter this into Addicted to Stamps and More-CAS

Have a good day x

Happy Memories!

Hi All

I love using cream and white together and this is the colour challenge at Less is More this week-so had to play along.

I made a sympathy card. Always good to have some but in the hope you don't have to use them. Cream and white seem perfect for this type of card.

I used subtle embossed base card and then used a white panel popped up. I stamped the flowers from CAS-ual Fridays-this set is now retired but I just love it. I then cut just one of the flower dies in cream embossed card and also popped this up.

I really like this sentiment (from a retired company) for sympathy card as I think it makes you focus on the good times and these I hope will bring comfort.

I know this card looks simple but it took ages! I have to run up and downstairs as hubby now works at home and my craft stuff is in different places as we don't have the space-It drives me a bit crazy but in these strange times we just have to adapt.
Crafting may take longer but needs must!

You all have a good day and a Happy Mother's Day to all you Mum's celebrating it across the pond!

I will enter:
