Twinkle!

Hello crafty friends,

I got a lovely card the other day and some stamps from my dear blogging friend Gerrina-she knows me so well-the stamps are as CAS as can be!!

Here is what I made:

My kind of card-one layer, stamping only and lots and lots of white space.
I would normally emboss this but I know at AAA Cards they like to challenge me as they prefer you not to have a textured base....I did Jane....but so hard for me not to get that linen embossing plate out but a challenge is always good!!

Layout based on sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch

I will enter this into:
AAA Cards-maxi white space-option of flowers not taken
Less is More-one layer and Christmas
The Card Concept-I went with all the stars in the photo and all the red...and my design is CAS!!

Time Out #166

Hi All

We have a new challenge at Time Out

And my take:

What could be more peaceful than sitting by the sea on the sand with your flip flops on!

The stamps and dies I have used here are from our sponsor Newton's Nook. I have used the stamp set Flip Flop Life and the matching dies for this set found here

This went off to a crafty friend who loves nothing better than being sat by the sea and in flip flops!...just like me!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the amazing and ultra talented Sue. I am a huge fan! I just love all her cards-her creativity blooms with everyone!
Welcome Sue, I am so pleased you are joining us x

I can't wait to see what 'peaceful' means to you all!

Pop over to Time Out and see what Sue and the DT have made to inspire you.

Playing with newbies!

Hi crafty friends

I have had some new goodies sat on the side and not used yet and today I decided just to play and see what I came up with!

I used the elephant stamp and die from Erin Lee Creative-a pressie from my friend and dear cousin Lynn. First time outing for this stamp and die-love it!

And a pressie from my adorable Mum and Dad the Antique Frame Set from Penny Black-another NBUS!

I didn't add a sentiment as I wanted to make it as CAS as possible.

I will enter:

CASology #371

Hi All

A new challenge at CASology and here is our cue word:

I was a but stumped as all I could think of was a swimming pool but didn't want to go with this. Out came the thesaurus and I decided to go with the 'puddle of water' take....mine being the puddle of water under the bath in my image!

I love this image! I just stamped and did some basic colouring and added a few gems for the bubbles!

So what will your take be??

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the amazing Claire. I love her style and pop on over to her blog here and you will see why!

Pop on over to CASology to see what the DT have created for you and then join on in!

Our Design Team are all worth a visit and some love-here they are;

Enjoy!

Twinkle Brightly!

Hi All

I have not crafted now for weeks and today I saw the challenge at AAA-make a card in a few minutes with the option of Christmas.
This type of challenge is one of my favourites and although mojo is really hiding I knew this challenge is the type I can do without much mojo!

And I actually love what I made:

This was actually meant to be a one layer as I like to make a few designs each year that I know I make on mass as the year goes on.

However I stamped the wrong end of the one layer and upside down....so quickly cut the white card and mounted it onto red card but the design for the one layer is there!

So this actually took about 5 mins of stamping and assembling and adding the gem. If I hadn't stamped it upside own first time, it would have been less than 2 mins!

The longest part was looking through my stamps to find the sentiment I wanted!! They are from Verve-no longer in business...so sad x

Let's hope this gets my mojo started!

Thank you for all those you have still been visiting me and I will hopefully be back soon to visit you but I am afraid health and life have stunted my mojo!

IG has also been neglected but I will be back there soon to visit you all!

Hugs xx

Time Out #165

Hi All

We have a new our Theme Challenge at Time Out and here it is:

Don't forget we have that 'optional twist' of using embellishments!

There are so many ways you could go with this challenge......memories from your past, a special holiday, celebration, an outfit you used to wear...and so much more!

I decided I would interpret this challenge by CASEing one of my own cards....I had made in the past, in days gone by!

I wanted to see if I could make one of my previous feminine cards into a Christmas card.

Here is the result using the twist of adding embellishments (enamel dots, naturally!)

And here is the card I CASed-sorry only have it on Instagram-but here is the link:

Our sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Fridays and here I have heat embossed in burgundy the background stamp Full on Floral Stamp and the dies Tag Buddies

Our Guest Designer is one of my favourite designers Claire. I have followed her for years and love the cards she makes plus Claire is a long term supporter of Time Out and that means so much to me...thank you Claire. Check out her blog here and you will love what you see!

Then pop on over to Time Out and see what Claire and the Design Team have made of 'Days gone by'...will be intersting to see!!

And I can't wait to peak into your 'Days gone by'...good or bad!

Enjoy!

Guest Designer at CAS MIX Up!

Hi All

I am very excited to be the Guest Designer at CAS Mix Up Challenge and to be with such an amazing Desigen Team Members.

I wasn't sure what this meant but the lovely Loll explained it to me.
It is basically you use a stencil to add colour to your card (sponging, watercolour, pencil colouring, etc. ... whatever you want to use).  Then you clean your stencil and place it back over the image.  Take a thin black marker and trace around the stencil.  It creates an outline.

So I gave it a go and here is what I came up with after so many tries-not my best card but I tried!

This is a Funky Fossil stencil.

A real challenge for me but great for a masculine card!

Thank you Loll for inviting me to join your amazing team and to see what they have made to inspire you, take a look here and then play along!

Enjoy x
