Season's Greetings

Hi All

I have had no mojo recently-ideas are in my head but just can't seem to feel like crafting.

However today I decided why not just make your fav cards-one layer, stamp and go, just to see if I could kick start my creativity!

Thought I might as well make a few Christmas cards to send aboard and actually made 4 of these as it is easy to do with the help of the misiti!

Yes I actually did do a tiny amount of colouring!

I have embossed with my linen embossing plate to add texture but it is hard to see in the photo but IRL it does add the perfect touch.

The holly stamp is from Funky Fossil Designs and the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays

I used the layout from the sketch this week at CAS(E) This Sketch

Time Out #169

HI All

Here is what I made:

I use the sponsor prodcut Memory Box Poinsettia Circle Frame Craft Die and obviously took season to mean 'The Christmas Season'. There are so many ways you could go with this-perhaps a seasoning for your food-some kind of herb, or any season of the year....I am sure you have many ideas and I can't wait to see them!

Our Design Team have all made some super cards-pop on over to Time Out for inspiration.

Hi All

Just felt like a bit of colouring today-yes I know, most unusual!!

I love this Elephant stamp and sentiment from Erin Creative-especially love the font on the sentiments in this set.

Coloured it using copics-super basic and just used the colours I felt like as I went along. The colour of the Elephant actually looks the same as the base card-not intentional!!

I am going to enter it into:

Cupcake Inspirations-500th Birthday Challenge-this would be a fun Birthday card for either guys or gals!

CAS Colour and Sketches=sketch-I made the elephant as the fishtail part of the sketch-I laid it a little higher than I would normally to follow the sketch.

Walking!

Hi All

At AAA Cards it is the one layer challenge so I had to play along. I wanted to use the twist of your 'hobby'-I like to walk but on going through all my stamps I couldn't find one that would work for this.....until I came across this sentiment from Uniko-walking in the snow and yes I do!!

At the moment my walking is on hold as I have pulled my calf but hope to be back to it soon-it is keeping me sane in these strange times, I find it a real stress release, so CALF-get better!!

This gave me a chance to make another Christmas card to add to my selection to be posted abroad.

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and the colours from Color Throwndown

Time Out #168

Hello crafty friends,

Time for a new challenge at Time Out-my fav-the photo challenge.

And here is what I made:

There is so much here to inspire and I wasn't sure what way to go but finally decided just to use the design and colour of the surfboard combined with the stripes on the flip flops

Snow in a heatwave!

Hi Crafty friends,

A quick one layer Christmas card today-I think I decided I needed some cooling snow as we are in the middle of a heatwave here-35 degrees today and with no air con! I am struggling to move and sleep seems a thing of the past!!

I made this card this morning when it was cooler:

Hi All

It has been a long time since I made a card that wasn't for a DT...and actually it has been a long time since I made a card!

But today an idea popped into my when I saw the challenge 'Face' at Inkspirational.

I had sat on my craft desk a stencil that has never been used-from Funky Fossil designs. I love it but hadn't got to use it yet.

I decided to use grey as at this time many of us can't get our hair dyed-mine is nearly all grey! I will get my hair dyed when it is safe for me to go to the hairdressers but many people just want to let their hair grow naturally grey and this is wonderful and very brave.

It gave me a reminder to myself not to judge others by external beauty as our 'true' beauty comes from within!
