CASology #377

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at CASology.

Here is our cue word:

And my card:

Well I thought this would be easy but no!
I tried out all my ideas and none worked. So in the end I water coloured a sheet of paper in lots of different sunset colours and just left it on the side for a few days....and then suddenly an idea came to me!

I just die cut a cloud from the sheet and one strip to add interest-not a traditional sunset card but I did it!

The sponsors for this challenge are Uniko

Our Guest Designer is Marina. I have known Marina for many years and her blog is a delight to visit-take a look here

Pop on over to CASology to see what the DT have created for you and then join on in!

Warmest Winter Wishes!

 Hi All

I have had this white strip of card on my desk for over a week with this sweet sentiment from STAMplorations. I even had that tiny gem on it. I had stamped it when I had out the first ever STAMPlorations sets but hadn't got as far as entering into the AAA Card Challenge (I went with the 'cosy' option) that I had intentions of doing so.

Yesterday I realised the challenge was nearly done so I quickly made a super CAS card by just adding some green glitter card!

The weather here is awful so it was hard to get a good photo but if you zoom in you will see this lovely 'warm' sentiment!

Have a good day x

Photos inspire!

 Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a bit of a different card for you today.

I have actually water coloured and used embossing

Photo challenges have always been my fav kind of challenge and this card was inspired by 2 of these and in quite a weird way-if you want to know how, read under photo!

First off the photo at Fusion really caught my eye-I loved the swirly purple and the dark surround. I knew I wanted to use water colouring for this but was not sure how.
Then the photo at Inkspirational popped up and so did an idea in my head!
I noticed it also had the dark surround like Fusion but completely different colours. So I decided I would use an Autumn colour with the purple and see where it took me!

And so you have my thinking behind the card!
The image is from Visible Image

Have a good day.

I will also enter it into Just Us Girls

One Image, 3 cards!

 Hi All

I hope this finds you all well.

Trying to get those Christmas cards done!!

And the one layer ones are the best for sending abroad.

Here are a few:

And another one using the same stamp but in a different place:

And another one using the same stamp centred and no red strip!.

This stamp is from the very first challenge that STAMPlorations held. I was luck enough to win and got 7 stamp sets! And since that day I have been a fan!

When I saw the challenge at AAA Cards Challenge-use one corner and make it cosy if you want-I wanted to be cosy so I thought this set would be perfect. Imagine sat in front of this fireplace in a cold winter's night! I coloured the mantle piece in and the top one I added a red strip.

I enjoyed colouring this tiny image and decided to have a go at using it again but placing it in different positions and I quite like them all!

I will also add to:

CASology #376

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology

Here is my take:

And our cue word is:

She is cleary dry under her umbrella!
To take the cue word further one I did some 'dry' embossing-running it through a polka dot embossing folder to add some 'rain' like texture!
This is a layout I love to use with big images to make a CAS card.

I decided to stamp in navy and have a navy base as it seemed to go with my theme better than black!!

Our sponsors for this challenge are STAMPlorations

Our Guest Designer is the wonderful Jasleen-I am a long time fan!

The image and sentiment are from Visible Image

Pop on over to CASology to see what the DT have created for you and then join on in!

Our Design Team are all worth a visit and some love-here they are;

Peace, Love and Joy

 Hi All

A Christmas card today inspired by a few challenges.

The layout was inspired by Fab Friday and the colours at Color Throwndown.

I was going to place the purple die straight but remembered over at Inkspirational they have an 'anlged' challenge so I decided to angle it and I think it looks better that way as seems to flow with the leaves which I also angled.

Enjoy your day!

Awareness of Mental Heath Hop

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a hop today to raise awareness of Mental Health.
A very important issue and especially at this time when all our life's have changed so much.
We all need to be aware of our own mental health and those around us.
So we are here in Blogland and on Instagram doing a hop for this-plenty of prizes to be won.
Find all details at how this hop works on the Creative Twins blog and on their instagram account @crafty_sistahs.

Here is my card and you will see underneath the reason why I made this:

I know many will say that crafting is the primary thing that helps them with keeping their mental health positive. For me walking in nature is what I love most and helps me stay grounded and relieves any stress or worries...it doesn't make them go but certainly brings me back into the moment! I like to look at the leaves-the different colours and shapes and how they change with seasons and love to listen to the bird song. I call it my 'mediation walk'.

I tired to show this in my card. Making the background in nature colours with brushos (I actually made this in Spring so perhaps now the colours would be different!) Then I simply die cut a leaf, embossed it with polka dots. And added what I feel is the perfect sentiment for us all!

Now hop on over to the wonderfully creative Varda Sharma @varadasharma and her blog Varda.

To win one of our fab prizes here is what you need to do:

Rules to participate in giveaway:
1. Leave a comment on each stop.
2. Mention your country as few prizes may have shipping restrictions.
Commenting closes on 20 October 4:30pm GMT and winners will be announced on 25 October.
*Winners will be chosen from comments left across all the stops on the hop.
*Open internationally.

Enjoy!

We have al these sponsors!

Time Out #172

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a very special challenge starting today!

We are here to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer and are asking you to join us in making an encouragement card for a friend-for any kind of encouragement for any reason!

Early detection of Breast Cancer is the key and every month we should all be doing a self exam-check out how to do this here-you can also find out more info about Breast Cancer, symptoms, treatments etc-please pass to friends and go off and do that self exam!!

And we have the optional twist of using pink on your on your card-if you do this you could win a prize!

I went with the twist and used pink on my card:

Our sponsors are CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and here I have used the Love Hope Stencil sponged off the edge with a pale pink. I used the Heart Ribbon Stamp Set stamped in a much darker pink. The sentiment is from the same set and I just stamped this on a label and popped it up.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is one amazing designer-Dhruvika. I love her cards, super creative and it is a joy she is joining us today. Pop on over to her blog Cardogram and I bet you come back a fan too!
Welcome Dhruvika x

Now your Time to take some TIME OUT and get crafting-we all need a little encouragement at the moment so the perfect challenge to cheer some one up!

Enjoy!

World Card Making Day!

 Hi Crafty friends,

Happy World Card Making Day!!

I don't usually seem to craft on this day but this year I have.

And as the rain pours outside why not make a card!!

Yep that is some sponging you see!!

The snowflakes are from Visible Images and the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays.

Layout from CAS(E) This Sketch
Colours from Colour Throwdown
And it is one layer so for AAA Cards-without the twist.

Enjoy your day x
