Bling Tuesday

Really getting through the Xmas cards now. Have about 5 to go and then my husband's-can't decide what to do for that yet but it is a work in progress!

Today I have 'blinged' a card for the challenge on Less is More. This week the challenge was to 'bling' a CAS card. And here is what I came up with:

I have used:

Woodware Xmas stamps
Three Kings ribbon
Memento 'tuxedo black' ink
Promakers
Kanban self adhesive blings

Have a good Tuesday x

Hang up your boxers!

Happy Monday to all

Chilly here in London so its a good day to stay inside and craft.

Today I wanted to make a Xmas card for some 'boy' neighbours. I already knew the stamp I wanted to use-not a Xmas stamp but I love this stamp and it is ideal for a guy card. So add a few Xmas colours and a bit of sparkle and you have a Xmas card. Went hunting for a sketch and tried out this week challenge on card positioning systems

I have used:

Little claire stamp, woodware punch, promakers, momento 'tuxedo black' ink and whispers 'starry starry night' ink, glamour glitter and kanban self adhesevive bling and buttons from my stash.

And here is this same stamp in a Birthday card I made last year;

Partridge in a Pear Tree

Hi All

First my card:

I decided to enter my first 'Bingo' challenge where you have to choose 3 items from a grid of 9 and use them to make a card. I chose a brad, ribbon and digi from the Just some lines blog.
I have used a pink petticoat digi image-pear in a partridge tree, a 'Three Kings' ribbon and a 'making memories' pewter snowflake brad.
Also today I decided to add to my family gallery of photos. A gallery I have of all the people that are close to my heart. I have had these photos of my Aunt and Uncle, Johnny and Anne, for some time and I have finally printed them out and framed them stamping this gorgeous sentiment (you can't see it so well but it says 'walking hand in hand forever'). Johnny passed a number of years ago but still remains close to my heart and this photo of him hiking really catches his fun spirit. Anne is a very dear person and we have grown closer over the years and this photo of her and Johnny reminds me of how much I love them both.

Now I need a photo of my other Aunt and Uncle, Tony and Mary , but they hate having their photo done so I am still hunting for a good one to frame.

More from Craft Sunday

Just popping in to share another card I made on Sunday. This is a Xmas tree stamp that I have been wanting to try. It has a contempory feel to it. I stamped it and then cut it out and stuck it onto this white paper I have also wanted to use-have had it for ages and just didn't seem to be able to use it but thought it went well with this card. I am not sure what you call this paper-I am sure you bloggers out there can enlighten me?
Just added a Xmas green ribbon and some gems. Decided the card needed nothing else on it so the sentiment is inside x

Crafty Sunday

Today I have been crafting nearly all day-hubby is working at home so I thought I would take some time out and craft.

Here is one of the cards I made today:

Another CAS card. Before you think I am becoming addicted to this style, look back at yesterday's card-see not a CAS card!

On this cards I used a 'Three Kings' ribbon, clear stamps from Joanna Sheen and the holly decoration was one I used last year and can't remember where it is from-sorry.

I have entered this into 'Just Us Girls' #166 colour challenge and 'Really Reasonable Ribbon' weekly challenge to make a Xmas card using ribbon.

Hope you all had a good Sunday and enjoy the week ahead x

My first Tag card

Today I had a go at using a 'tag' in my card. I saw the Clean and Simple sketch challenge #166 and decided to give it a go.

Photo is a bit wonky but I promise I had not had a few wines-I'm just not the best photographer.

I have used the Hero Arts 'say it' digi kit to make the tag, Craft creations Xmas and brown carol paper, Joanna Sheen wordy 'peace' stamp and versa magic cloudy white ink for the snowflakes and the holly is from my Xmas left overs from last year!

Have a good weekend x

Hello again

Well here are some more postcards that I made for my Aunt.

Not a great photo but the background paper is a pale lilac and the flower is made using a woodware punch and bakers twine is used to make the stem. The wording is from the Hero Arts 'say it' digi kit-getting used so much at the moment thanks to the recommendation from my U.S cousin Lynn (check out her blog).
I made 5 of these all with different colour flowers and sparkles.

Here is another one:

I will add these to 'Just a note' cards,to make a 10 notelet pack as my first ever crafty Xmas present!!

Just a note.........

Happy New week to all,

My card today is part of a set I have made for my Aunt's Xmas present. She asked for postcards that she could use to just pop through her friend's letter boxes that didn't have to be in envelopes. So I had a think and came up with a simple  CAS postacrd that I added lined paper on the back for her quick note.

I made 5 notelets all with this sentiment and stamp but slightly different decorations-here is another:

And the back is simple but I think she will find useful:

I will be boxing them in a clear notelet holder with 5 other postcards for her-this time I have chosen the sentiment 'hello'-not sure what the design will be yet but watch this space.

These cards I used the Hero Arts 'say it' digi kit, a wooden Whispers stamp, momento ink, bakers twine, various buttons and sparkles.

Thanks a Bunch Mum and Dad xxx

Today I made a card to send to my Mum and Dad. They came up to visit last week. Well I say visit-what they actually did was work! They painted my new kitchen-woodwork, ceiling and walls. Woodwork inside and out. They worked solidily for 2 days and I now have a gorgeous kitchen thanks to all their hard work. And when Mum was told to get out of the way by Dad she went onto our patio and planted all my pots with bulbs-so we will have a gorgeous outdoor space come spring. Now I know what you are thinking-why was I not doing the painting.......well I am not too hot at the D.I.Y plus we need to keep Dad busy. I was in charge of pouring the G and T's come 5pm and the wine as the evenings went on!!

I made this card using my new Hero Arts say it digi kit, a flower stamp and to add some flourish a brown ribbon and some sparkle embellishment.
I entered this card into Card Makin' Mamas challenge to make a Thank you card, crafty purple frog challenges to make a card with orange in it and finally Hero Arts add some bling challenge

And for the card............

Another CAS card to share today.
I made this card for the pretty palette My Time Made Easy colour challenge to use light pink, olive and brown. Now I love pink and brown but olive-well I was not too sure about this combination but decided to challenge myself!

So here is my CAS card with light pink, olive and brown-what do you think?

Again I used the pink petticoat bloomin' sentiments and woodware punches to make the flower and leaves. The stem is wire found in our toolbox!

I gave this card to a friend you needed a little reminder that her ideas have achieved great things and meant so much to many people.

Have a good day x

Smiling Flowers

Today I have had another go at CAS cards. In honour of our local community 'bulb planting day'-neighbours get together in our local park and plant bulbs so soon we will be surrounded by flowers

This first card I have entered into the Colour Create challenge. The colours this week are 'hot pink', 'turquoise' and 'ivory'.
I have used the 'Bloomin' Sentiments' digi stamps from Pink Petticoat and the flowers and brads are from my stash of goodies.

I just love the colours in this challenge and hope that the CAS effect works.

And another flower card this time made for yet another Anniversary! And this time I have entered it into the Less is More colour challenge. This week challenge was for Bonfire Night-a fireworks colour theme of red and orange. Again I used the Pink Petticoat bloomin' sentiments and goodies from my stash.

Keep an eye out over the next few days for 2 more flower themed cards.

The secret of Marriage

Morning all

I am being super prepared and yesterday made my Mum and Dad's Anniversary card which is not until the end of the month but with Xmas approaching and all those cards to make I wanted to get ahead.

I decided to use a funny digi print again from Bugaboostamps. My Mum and Dad have been married-I think-48 years and they have the strongest and most loving marriage I know. However, as all of those married people out there know.....we are not sure what makes it work! It remains a secret to us all!!

So for the card:

I entered this into the craftycardmakers colour challenge that this week was pink, brown and cream. I really like pink and brown together so when I saw this combo just had to give it a go.

And here are my Mum and Dad in Dominion Republic this Jan-Callum and I went with Mum and Dad and we had a great time. I love my Mum and Dad dearly, they have always been there for me and I have truly been blessed to have such caring and fun parents.
