I think I'm hooked!

......on heat embossing! I know many of you discovered this years ago but it is still new to me and I am really having a lot of fun with it! And come to think of it, I am also getting (perhaps a little too much) hooked on my weekly Christmas card challenge!

This week at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown the colour combo challenge is:


Naturally I thought of using my new gold embossing powder! 
I took about 20 photos of this card as the gold shimmer paper just reflected in every one. Plus today it has been snowing and dull, not the perfect day for taking photos! So, I apologise for the quality of this photo and IRL it really does look better-in fact I love the way it looks!!


I have used heat embossing on the sentiment and the little present. And just added a few little pearls. A very CAS card but I think sweet!

I am also going to enter this into the heat embossing challenge at Make My Monday and the Christmas monthly challenge at Crafty Hazelnut Christmas Challenge

    The gold embossed sentiment against the black background certainly has an impressive effect! I love heat embossing too - I use this method whenever I can!

    I feel for you - I know from experience that it can be *really* hard to get a decent photo of shimmery stuff! I bet your card looks great in real life. I love the pearl accent on the gift. I'm glad you joined in this week's challenge at 52{C}CT!
