I have just made a card that is quite different for me. I have used patterned paper, a banner and paper pieced. Honestly, I really have plus I had a lot of fun creating this:
This was inspired by Tracey's card at Muse. I went with the kraft, the lay out and instead of a leaf, I added this fun banner. I cut a slit in the top of the mug so I could pierce my banner into the it. I have stamped the 'cool beans' in the centre of the mug but the rest has been paper pieced using paper I found that matched the banner.
I was going to make this card more CAS but decided to go with more patterns after I saw the latest 'Birthday' challenge at The Challenge. I loved all the patterns in the photo and I also used the colours as a base.
I am joining the The Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with this card as my colours have an Autumn feel.

ReplyDeleteNot sure if someone else has mentioned it but the CAS challenge for HLS is Paper Piecing, so this would be perfect!! Got quite a shock when I saw paper on your card. Such a fabulous CASE of Tracey's card and love the papers you used. Think you might have a winner on your hands.....
