A Real Challenge For Me!

Hi All,

I find colour challenges a real challenge especially when you are asked to use over 3 colours. This week I decided to challenge myself to use the colours at Colour Q. I was doing this just to see if I could. My idea was to go with pretty flowers and butterflies and this is what I ended up with:

No flowers, no butterflies, a graphic card but I got all those colours in! Sometimes when I have an idea in my head and sit down to craft I go a completely different way. I am sure this is because I wanted to enter the 'washi' challenge at CASology. Get this...I own no washi tape, only washi stamps. Here my washi stamps are from Uniko. I cut out the middle one and popped it up on foam pads to add some dimension. I used the latest sketch at CAS(E) the Sketch for my layout.

It was fun to make this card and I will enter it into:

CASology-washi

Have a fun day x

  7. I am like you - I rarely play in Color Challenges as more than three colors make me panic. Unless it's rainbow colors... You managed it really well, though! The card looks great!

  9. Great to challenge yourself still? I think you can clearly recognice your style and love the way you made this layout! (Would like to let you play with watercolours as I do; reaching for jet another colour ink to mix with the 7 or more that I already am using just to get even more nuance...:) ) Enjoy the sunday!

  13. I so agree with you, color challenges are tricky, the more colors the trickier.
I too very often end up with something different from what I planned. This turned out looking so cool!!

  16. I feel the same way about colour challenges, I prefer 'inspiration' challenges (even though I usually end up using all the colours from the inspiration! lol!) Love this graphic take - so glad you joined us at CASology this week, Sandie!
