Time Out #62

Time for our 'Home Sweet Home' challenge at Time Out

Here is the card I made:

Here is our photo:

There is so much to be inspired by-the colours, the clocks, the patterns, lamp shades-well you can see it! Actually when I look at the photo again as I write this, it has a vintage feel mixed with modern style-now there is another idea for you!

The heat embossing of the sentiment is not great and I have used a few sequins to hide up how bad it really is. But I loved how bright and cheery this card is and couldn't face throwing it away.
Sometimes I think it is o.k to share our 'not so perfect cards'-I hope you forgive me!

I used a background stamp that Nonni gave me. I just stamped various neon inks on this-inspired by the watercolour picture on the wall of our photo. The turquoise embossed sentiment was inspired by the trays in the picture.

Our Guest Designer this week is my very talented Stephanie, one of my teamies at AAA Cards. Her creativity really is outstanding. Take a look at her blog My Ink Well and you will see what I mean.

Stephanie and our DT have made amazing cards for you all inspired by this photo. Take a look at Time Out Challenges to see them.

Then take some TIME OUT to craft and play along with us.

Enjoy x

  1. You are truly a master of creating bright, fun and happy cards Sandie - and this one is another perfect example of it! I just love the bright colours you chose - they make me happy just looking at your card :) I never would have known that you had any embossing issues if you hadn't mentioned that you had covered them up - I think that we are always our own worst critics!

  8. I find not so perfect cards charming, it shows they're handmade and not store bought. The imperfections are well hidden though, I can't spot them now:)
