This week it is our 'Home Sweet Home' photo challenge.
Here is my card:
And our photo:
I was inspired by the contrast of the grey of the brick wall and the burst of Autumn colours and leaves. I actually saw this card by Esther ad was blown away by her design and have CASEed it-thanks for the inspiration Esther. All the products I have used here are by STAMPlorations. The leaves are from the new set Trendy Leaves 2.
This challenge is being sponsored by STAMPlorations and the winner will get a $10 gift voucher to spend in their store. We will also do 2 random draws from all the entries. One winner will get the new stamp set Trendy Leaves 2 and the other winner will get the stamp set Holiday Expressions-Thankful
Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented and long time supporter of Time Out, Claire. Her blog Life on the Scrap Heap is well worth a browse-take a look and you will come away inspired.

That is very cool with the grey background and the awesome sentiment. Love how you did it
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic, Sandie!! I love your take on the sketch, and all your elements pick up the details of the inspiration photo with a beautiful CAS touch. I was drawn to the gray leaves first, but my eyes traveled down and WOW!, your autumnally colored sentiment blew me away. What a fantastic card. Just love this!! Bev
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use the colours just for the sentiment! Love your card! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteAmazing is right! WOW Sandie!! You did an outstanding job on this challenge :) I just love the gray in the back ground! and you top it off with a brilliant sentiment! : )

Your card is so pretty. I love how you have put the color into your sentiment and the leaves are grey. It is about the opposite of what I would expect, and that much more stunning for it's surprise.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous Sandie! I love your take on the inspiration photo... really stunning and such beautiful warm colours in the sentiment set against that calm and stylish background. Fab! Thanks also for your lovely comment about my card <3 x
ReplyDeleteLove how you inked up the sentiment die cut. The soft bit of color packs a punch on this card!
ReplyDeleteThis is different in the way that the leaves have neutral colors and the sentiment is vibrant and autumn colored. Looking fab!
ReplyDeleteThis is clever - I love that you reversed the colours - grey for leaves, browns for sentiment - it's stunning. Thanks for joining in at City Crafter.
ReplyDeleteA fab take on the inspiration pic Sandie - that's an MFT die isn't it? I so nearly bought that one yesterday!

ReplyDeleteReally cool card Sandie - I love how you kept the the background neutral and made the sentiment bold and bright - especially with that font! I can't wait to see what you create with your Versamark pen - I love mine - it is also great for fixing little embossing "misses" ;)
