Sandie and Nonni Kit-part 2

Happy Friday!

Nonni and I are back today with our second set of cards we have made from our kit-we share the same materials combined with our own stash to make cards. This time I send out the kit. On Wednesday we posted our first set of cards. You can see what Nonni made here and what I made here.

And now for my second set of card from the pack:

I have white embossed the butterfly stamp from Happy Little Stampers Birthday Butterfly set in the background. The die cut butterfly was from our kit and the same as the stamped one in the background. I coloured the die with promarkers. I tried really hard to get a better photo of the background-if you zoom in you can see it better.

I will enter this into:
Simon Says Monday Challenge-Things with Wings

My next card was just so much fun to make!

The sentiment from The Ton and the turquoise glitter card was from our kit. I just added some pink glitter foam and enamel dots. I know this looks like it was made really quickly but it took me hours to decide how to do the design and trying out lots off different ways until I was happy. Naturally glitter ended up all over me and my craft space! I quite like how it turned out in the end and thought it would make a fun card for any of you crafting buddies.

Check out what Nonni made from the same kit here.I can't wait to see what she made. It is really exciting to do this. I am soon to be doing a kit with my dear cousin Lynn-check this space soon for details (I have a feeling there will be quite a few CAS cards in our kits...both being such CAS lovers...still we may surprise you!!)

Enjoy your day x

Nonni and Sandie's kit-part 1

Hello,

Recently my dear friend Nonni and I have been swapping crafty kits. Last time Nonni made up the kits for us and you can see the cards I made from this kit here and here

This time I made up the kit with the same goodies for Nonni and myself. I forgot to photo it!

Today we are sharing the first 2 cards we made.

Here is my first card:

Here I used a butterfly from the kit that had been heat embossed in gold. The butterfly is from Happy Little Stampers. I water coloured it in purple and then just splashed a few drops over the card. The die I used here was a pressie from team member at  TIME OUTJill. I have used vellum and glitter fun foam for this. I popped it up on foam and just love the way to seems to float.

I will enter this card into:
Just Us Girls photo challenge-gone with butterfly
And now for my second card:

The Humming Bird (Uniko) was from our kit. It has been heat embossed. I then water coloured in green and used WOS to add sparkle. I then played around with brushos to make this background. I die cut the circle and used the brusho card to back this. The just popped up the bird on foam pads to add a tiny bit of dimension. The sentiment from The Ton was just stamped on some left over brusho card.

I can't wait to see what Nonni has made form this same kit. Take a look here and you will see!

Will be back another day with our next cards from this kit.

It is really a lot of fun to swap these kits with crafty friends. Why not have some fun and do this yourself?

The New Pretty!

Hi There,

Just popping in quickly with a card I made for a friend who is having a tough time at the moment:

This sentiment is from The Ton and I thought perfect for my friend. I wanted to use pretty colours for her and found this combo of blush, gold and cream at Cupcake Inspirations 400th Birthday Celebration-see below the graphic I chose. I love this background embossing plate, it reminds me of icing, perfect for a cupcake challenge.

I will also enter this into the 'sentiment' only challenge at CAS on Sunday.

Enjoy your day x

Happy Mother's Day

Hello All

A very Happy Mother's Day to all you Mum's out there!

A very special 'Happy Mother's Day' to my Mum-I love you dearly, thank you for all you do, for being my friend and for just being you xx

I don't have a Mother's Day card for you today but one I made that was initially inspired by the stunning photo at Just Us Girls.

I loved the colours of the butterfly and actually water coloured my butterflies as closely as I could to the one in the photo. It took a while with a tiny brush but I was really happy with how it turned out. I use Windsor and Newton water colour paints and mixed a few greens and yellow to match the shades in the photo. I also picked out the tiny touches of red/pink. It seems I am enjoying water colouring at the moment-it is quite relaxing! When dry it was all covered with WOS.

My layout was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches-loved this as soon as I saw it!

The butterflies are from Uniko and I will enter it into their Spring Challenge.

The wonderful sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays and I will enter it into their challenge No dies Allowed

I hope all you Mum's get very spoilt today and everyone else have a fun Sunday also

xx

Inkspirational #131

Hi There

A new challenge starts today at Inkspirationsal. And today it is our photo challenge:

Our photo inspired me to make this card:

And here is our photo:

I was inspired by the clock, the scattered hearts and the red on the cards. The clock and the hearts inspired me to use this wonderful sentiment and the scattered hearts gave me the idea of splattering the card with water colour paints. The card is a bit messy for my liking but this is where the photo took my creativity!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Birgit. Take a look at her blog here and prepare to be inspired!

Birgit and our DT have all made amazing cards-check them out here

Have a Beautiful Day.

Hello,

I hope you are all having a good week.

I have just made finished this card that was inspired by a couple of challenges:

I have used some new to me, stamps and dies from Altnew.

I heat embossed the flower in copper then die cut it out. I then used water colour paints to colour it. I used a heat gun to dry this. I would normally add embellishments to a card like this but for some reason I like just as it is. No linen embossed base card either-so even more CAS than normal for me! But I really like the way it turned out.

I was inspired by the photo at the Altnew Inspiration March Inspiration. I took the inspiration from the colours of the skirts. Plus I think the many folds in these flowers mimic the folds of the skirts.

The layout was inspired by the new sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch

I will also enter it into:

Enjoy the rest of your day x

Stamped Washi!

Happy Monday to all,

My card today is for a few challenges:

The challenge this week at Less is More is Washi Tape. I don't have any washi tape but have the stamped version from Uniko. I love this set and I don't know why I didn't think of it as soon as I saw the challenge. I have used the colours from Just Us Girls and the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.

The sentiment die was a pressie from my teamie, Jill, at Time Out. I love how you can use vellum as the background, it seems to give an airy look, if you pop it up on foam pads as I have done here. The sentiment and vellum is all covered in WOS and looks so sparkly IRL, I wish I could show this is my photo but alas you will have to trust me!

Have a fun day x

The die cut 'Birthday' can be found here in the store. That tiny 'HAPPY' is from one of my fav sets Holiday Artsy-it under went some stamp surgery!

Saturday, 18 March 2017

Hello!

A very Happy Weekend to you all,

I love the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch this week and here is my take on it:

I got the colours from 2 other challenges:

The different shades of blue and orange came from the photo at Curtain Call and the middle dress at STAMPlorations Cutplorations challenge.

I have used a die from STAMPlorations and the flower is from Visible Images. You can't see in the photo but it is all covered with WOS to add sparkle. Just a few enamel dots and gems to finish it off.

Time Out #79

Hi There,

Our 3rd Birthday at Time Out Challenges has come and gone and thank you so much for all the partying you did with us. I loved every entry and was sorry I wasn't well enough to visit you all. The party is over but we don't intend to stop having fun!

Our challenge this time is to CASE (copy and share) a fabulous card made by the wonderful Jenny. Jenny is a super star in the crafting world. If you are not aware of Jenny's blog, Crafting in the Country, pop on over there and you will love what you see.

Here is my CASE:

And Jenny's amazing card:

I was inspired by the Spring feel of this card and the branch at the top. I did a CAS version by just die cutting a leaf from a watercolour scrap card I had made before, using brushos

The sentiment I have used is from the Verve set New BeginningsVerve are sponsoring this challenge. Julee, the designer and owner of Verve is joining in the fun and CASEing Jenny's card-take a look here.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Izzy. I just love Izzy's card, she enters Time Out nearly every challenge and each card inspires me more and more. I am so pleased she won one of our challenges recently and is joining us as our Guest. Check out here blog Izzy Scrap, you will see what I mean.

Check out Izzy's and the DT CASE cards here and then take some TIME OUT and join us x

Spring Again!

Hi All

I made this card inspired by a few challenges.

The layout is from the sketch at Mojo Monday and the colours from Cupcake Inspirations

All the stamps are from Verve. I have heat embossed the little flowers on vellum and then coloured the back of these with copics. I fussy cut the last flowers of the vellum to represent the jagged edge of the panel in the sketch. I used a felt flower and another fussy cut flower on the edge of the stitched panel. I do love this sentiment-I am sure you know this by now!!
The 3 enamel dots in this slate colour were used to finish off the card.

Have a good day x
