AAA Cards #85

Hi All

We have a new challenge at AAA Cards.

Did you see the Oscars? We have a very timely and fun challenge for you:

We'd like to see a card inspired by the fashions on the Oscar red carpet.
This could be male or female and from any year

I had so much fun looking through the Oscar dresses over many years and this is the card I made inspired by the dress below:

I had to make it a star focused card as if you are on the red carpet-a star you are!

I love the colours in this dress but the gold confetti design on the bottom half of the dress reminded me of my star stamp from The Ton Stamps. So I used Delicata gold ink to stamp the star off the edge and then just heat embossed the 'star' in pink and popped this up. I felt the card needed a little more balance so added a sentiment from Happy Little Stampers at the top

Here is the dress I have hanging in my wardrobe!!

Oscar De La Renta dress worn at Oscars 2016

Beautiful, beautiful dresses and gowns from Oscar de la Renta resort 2016:

This challenge is sponsored by Happy Little Stampers-the winner will get a $15 gift voucher to use in their store. My 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is their store.

Our DT have all chosen stunning outfits to draw inspiration from-check them out here and then why not pick out an outfit and join us

I am entering this into:

The Ton March Challenge-Luck-stars have for thousands of years been seen as lucky-shooting stars, 'thank your lucky starts'-if you want to know more on this, check out this link here

  8. Love your card, trendy, not so sure about the dress. But it's a brilliant photo for kicking off ideas for cards!

  9. Did not see the oscars...they just have to do their work and that's all I think; if you have a friend who is so good in his or her work they won't get an oscar...But it is fun to see what the dt made of the dresses! Again a different card with your star; it is really your favorite stamp I think? But than again it is a beauty again! And great take on the challenge. Hugs, Gerrina
