Hi There,
There is a story behind this card-if you have time and want a giggle, you can read it below the picture.
I got the idea for this card when I saw the 'one layer curve' challenge at Less is More-I didn't stamp the whole clock so it was just a curve and rounded of the edge of the card to add another curve.
The colours I used are from this week's challenge at The Paper Players.
This sentiment is from a new set from My Favourite Stamps
This card was meant to be a quick and easy CAS card!! But it didn't go that way.
The idea came to me really quickly. I got out the stamps and inks and was expecting it to take me 5 mins. How wrong I was!
At first it took me quite a few attempts to get the clock in a place I was happy with. Then the sentiment....I was being so fussy, it took more attempts to get this right. The rubbish bin was now full of discarded attempts.Once I was happy with everything and ready to photo, I noticed I had a smudge of ink in all that white space.
Normally I manage to cover up my smudges or not worry too much but for some reason when making this card I was being a super fussy card maker......and if you know me, you will know...I really am not like that (IRL yes, but in card making-not so much!). I just gave up and came back to it 5 hours later. This time it came together in my expected 5 minutes!
So, a not so quick, CAS card!!
I will also enter it into:
Darnell's NBUS and April Fool challenge-I realise I should have kept at least one of my discarded cards now to show you!
Fabulous card ... and such a familiar story! It was clearly worth persevering!
