I hope so as it is our photo challenge and you know I always love these.

Here is my card:

And our photo that inspired my card:

Gorgeous Spring photo!
I went with the flowers, leaves, yellows and greens but there is so much here that you could use...and I know you will spot plenty I missed!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Altenew.

All the stamps and dies are from Altenew-Floral Frame and I also used the Floral Frame Die set was used to cut these stamps out.

I stamped and heat embossed the flower and leaves onto some water colour card. I had previously made it and found it in my stash but thought it was perfect for this challenge.
The die frame is from STAMPlorations

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is a previous DT member at Time OutSarah and we are so happy she is joining us today. Her blog Funky Fossil Designs is a delight to visit. I urge you to pop on over there and I guarantee you will be inspired!

A Spring Day!

Hi There,

My card today was inspired by a few challenges.

It really doesn't feel like Spring here in London but I hope this card makes it feel like Spring for you!

I have been wanting to join in the 'green' inspiration' challenge at Verve since I saw it. I love my Verve stamps and the photo really helped me finish off this card. I had the lay out that I used from the sketch at CAS Colour and Sketches but there just seemed to be something missing. The wood in the photo gave me the idea of using this twine. And once I added this, to me, it all came together!

The sentiment is New Beginnings from Verve and was stamped on this tag I cut from some card I had previously water coloured. The washi is actually a stamp from Uniko.

I have embossed the white card with linen but it is hard to see in the photo and there is a lot of dimension as the base card and tag are all popped up.

This is sat on my craft desk to remind me a few kind words eveyday to someone is like a Spring Day-so I send Happy Thoughts to you all and hope that makes it feel like Spring to you xx

Inkspirational #157

Hi All

We have our Designer's challenge today. This time it is the amazingly talented and creative Carol's choice and she went with:

Mythical

I have no fairy, unicorn etc stamps so had to turn to my trusty thesaurus for a helping hand! And in there I found 'mythical' described as 'Imagination'. I knew I had a sentiment stamp that fitted this (a pressie from my dear friend and teamie Nonni). So went with this:

A quick and easy all stamping card-my fav!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Mimi. Check out her amazing blog here and then go over to Inkspirational and see what the DT have created to inspire you.

Lips and Love!

Happy Monday!

Still stuck at home not feeling so good so what better way to spend my time than to have a little crafty play.

Those that follow me know I love to make one layer cards but also know I don't so stencils or sponging! But today I have had had a play at trying both of these! I got a few stencils as a  lovely pressie from crafty buddy Sarah. She sells here-check them out, they are fab!

Here is what I made using her fun 'lip' stencils.

I just matched it up with a sentiment from The Ton Stamps

I was inspired to make this by the following challenges:

Calling All Sistahs Challenge #11

Hi All

I am here with our monthly Calling All Sistahs Encouragement challenge from CAS-ual Fridays. Our little bunch of Sistahs are all about raising awareness for Breast Cancer and would love you to join our monthly challenge.

What do we mean by an 'Encouragement' card? Well anything that would brighten someone's day. I am sure you have plenty of ideas of how to do this and make cards like this every time you sit down you craft. So why not share them with us?

We have a photo and some colours to inspire you. Use either the photo or the colours-you don't need to use both but can if you want.

Here is my card:

And our inspiration:

I went mainly with the colours but added a little flower as a hint to the photo!

The sentiment is from Word Ribbon and the background is Heart to Heart. I heat embossed the heart stamp and then did some water colouring using all the colours in our inspiration. I die cut the flower from the same water colouring sheet.

Here is how you play along:

1. Make a card that will brighten someone's day inspired by the photo or colours or both.

2. Link up here by 12am EST on the 13th
3. Share with your friends and followers so we can get the word out about our challenge.

One person will win a $25 gift code to use on anything in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps store.  All products are welcome, but if you use CAS-ual Fridays stamps or dies on your card, Michele will DOUBLE your prize!!!

My fellow Sistahs have all made amazing cards-check them out here and then get inky!

Make someone happy today with a very special card from you!

Can't wait to see your cards!

Enjoy xx

Hello!

Hi All

Popping in with a quick card to say 'hello'

I was inspired by the sketch at Where Creativity Meets c9 and the pink colours at Paper Players.

This fab die is from Concord and 9th and the stripes are from Winnie and Walter. Again no big misti so had to eyeball these!

Caught A Bug?

Hi There

I wouldn't normally post twice in a day but I am at home after catching my Husband's bug! He has been coughing and sneezing for a week now. I was feeling pretty pleased with myself for not catching it but you guessed it...I have!

My card today was inspired by the 'Bug' challenge at CASology.
I had this idea in my head since I saw the challenge and today I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and off I went creating this:

Most of these stamps are from Paper Smooches. I stamped the tissue box and tissue on previously water coloured card. Fussy cut them out. I used my Visible Image snowflake stamp to represent my 'sneeze'!! The tissue box and tissue are both popped up on foam pads for dimension.

I deliberately used bright and cheerful colours as that is what I think we need when feeling a bit under the weather!!

Hope your day is going well x

Another Christmas in March Card!

Hi All

Another Christmas card inspired by a few challenges. This time a one layer card that will be great for posting abroad!

The layout is from CAS Colours and Sketches. I loved this sketch as soon as I saw it. Unfortunately I only have a small Misit so I have to eye ball when using long border stamps but think this time I did a pretty good job!

The Christmas tree border is from Uniko

I went with greens so I could join in the 'green' Verve Inspiration Challenge. This sentiment is from one of my first sets from Verve.

I used 2 different greens (I only have 2 greens) alternating the colours in this ombre look for the AAA challenge. And this will also fit in with the monochromatic challenge at Less is More

The challenges I will enter are:
Less is More-Monochrome

Merry And Bright

Hi All

Popping in with a card I made today for a few challenges.

The stamps and dies are all from the 'Shine Brighter' collection from Concord and 9th.

I used the sketch at Where Creativity Meets C9.

I got the colour scheme from the photo at Merry Monday-the off white card is meant to show the cream of the foam. I particularly used this card as it has a creamy like texture but unfortunately you can't see this in the photo.

Have a fun day x

Inkspirational #156

Hello,

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.
It is our word prompt and the word is:

Work
We all have 'bosses' right, unless you are one!

In the crafting world we should consider ourselves as all bosses....as we are the boss of what we create and don't we love being the boss of that!

The sentiment is from The Ton. The background is made from brushos and I have to admit I didn't create this myself-the lovely and talented Kylie made this when she was over to stay last November! The tag dies are from CAS-ual Fridays.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Bharati Her blog is full of inspiring projects. Take a look here. I have been following Bharati for some time now and adore her CAS style.

Then pop over to our main blog at Inkspirational and see what the talented DT have created using 'Work' as a prompt.

Enjoy x

Be Unique!

Hello,

When I saw the 'Abstract' challenge at CASology, I knew I had to play along. I love abstract art and had a go at creating my own version, helped along by a few other challenges.

I used the following challenges to help me create this card and will enter them all

Freshly Made Sketches-gave me my design.
Less is More-Monochrome-gave me the idea of using just purples, even down to the base card.
AAA Cards-ombre-gave me the idea of using the changing purples.

I used 3 different purple shade inks from Catherine Pooler. I just roughly inked them onto this grunge stamp. Then I used a sizzix die to cut out this splatter. I then cut out the same splatter die in purple fun foam . Layered the ombre card splatter on top of the foam offsetting it so it looks like a shadow. A few different shades of purple enamel dots to finish this off and here you have my version of an 'abstract arty' card!

This was a really fun card to make and came out exactly as I had it in my head....that doesn't happen often!

Have a fun day x

Rainbows!

Hi All

Here is today's card, inspired by a few challenges:

At CAS-ual Fridays the challenge is 'Beautiful Rainbows'. So I used their background stamp Heart to Heart, heat embossing it in white. I then water coloured over this in rainbow colours. I let the colours run into each other. That little tag is also from CAS-ual Friday and you can see it here

The layout is from Viva La Verve a monthly sketch challenge run by Verve I find these sketches a real challenge but after seeing Teresa's arty take on this sketch, I followed suit. And love how it turned out-thank you Teresa! The sentiment is from the set Button Best from Verve. In the middle I also used the 'Mother's Day' sentiment from the same set. As this card is off to my Mother in Law.

Not my normal style but now and then a touch of water colouring really relaxes me.

I will also enter this into:

Enjoy your Day x
