Time Out and Crafty Friends Inspire!

 Hi All

Hope you had a very peaceful Christmas.

I actually made some cards yesterday and am hoping this is a good sign that my mojo is returning!

As soon as I saw the challenge at Time Out-Inspiration I knew what I wanted to make!

I had seen a card by Hanniele back in June and asked her if I could CASE it and she kindly said yes! Have a peak at her card here-normally I would have made the card a one layer as well but wanted to choose the option at Time Out and add layers....to shock the DT!!

Here is my version:

I have always loved cream and white in card making and yellow just seemed fun to brighten up a dull Winter's day. I placed the sentiment to tuck in the curve of the yellow swirl.
I enjoyed making this and a huge thank you to Hanniele for inspiring me!

Have a fun day!

CASology #398

 Hi All

Time for our last challenge of 2021 at CASology and our cue word is 'Above'.

Here is my take:

I went through a few ideas for this and after looking through my dies came up with the idea of layering dies on top if each other-one 'above' the other!

I have used used an open die 'above' the solid die and cut it in vellum-vellum really is a great idea when making CAS cards!

Our Design Team have come up with some great inspiration for you-pop on over to our blog and have a look!
Then enjoy playing along!!

Time Out-Precious!

Hi All

Been a while since I have been crafty but I needed a card for my Mum and Dad's 59th Wedding Anniversary so got to it!

My craft buddy Anushree makes some super gifts and she made one for my Mum and Dad-have a look below and I based my card on this. You can see Anushree's super collection of gifts here

As you can see I got the woodgrain in using an embossing plate and the gold in by gold embossing some splatter stamps then layered up with the die cuts. I really love the card and was so pleased I did after so long not crafting!

Here is Anushree's super gift:

I am popping this off to Time Out-cue word-Precious...nothing more precious than 'love'-they also have a DT call, check it out.

Have a good day x

CASology #397

 Hi All

We have a new challenge at CASology and our cue word is 'Type'.

I did have a few ideas for this but decided to go the obvious route and use a typewriter set but I bet you can think of many other ideas for this word!

This sweet typewriter stamp set and die are both from Newton's Nook Designs
I stamped and die cut the image deciding to go with these fun colours as I thought it could be used for lots of occasions and either a guy or gal! Who wouldn't love a green typewriter!
I grounded the image with some strips of coloured card.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Claire. I am a long time admirer of Claire's cards and have followed her for years. Pop on over to her blog here and you will see why!

Pop on over to CASology and see what the fab Design Team and Claire have made to inspire you.
Enjoy!

I will enter this into Fusion-inspired by the photo!

For Dad xx

 Hi All

My Dad is very, ill and without going into details.....needs any spare prayers, strength and hugs you can send his way.

I have wanted to make him a card all week but just couldn't get my head around it but yesterday saw the colours at Less Is More-Purple and Yellow, my fav card colour combo and flicked through my stamps and found a sentiment to suit-Visible Images

Love you Dad xx

Sending Hugs

 Hi All

I have a few cards I need to make so had a hunt around blogland to find some challenges to inspire me to get inky.

The 3 challenges you see below inspired me to create this:

Just Us Girls-photo-the flowers I loved and naturally the colours-I inked and coloured in with copics.

CAS on Friday-sketch-used for the design

AAA Cards-no layers and sending hugs-this is off abroad so one layer is perfect PLUS my fav kinda card!

Smile!

A Happy Smile to you All,

A card for you today using some of my very first stamps and dies-I got them from Papertreyink.

This was inspired by the sketch at CAS Colour and Sketches
I used some scrap card that had been previously sponged to die cut the leaf and just picked out the blue to stamp the water splash.

Have a fun day xx

Time Out Guest Designer!

 Hi All

I have the honour of being the Guest Designer of my previous challenge Time Out.

And I am super excited to be joining the amazing team because this is a special challenge sponsored by our very own Kim. Kim is not only a card maker but so very creative in so many ways. And one of these is her amazing skill of sewing and she has her own Etsy store RunningStitchDesign-pop on over there and you will see a delight of goodies-I have quite a few!!

And today, Kim and her store are our super sponsors!!

We have a photo of one of her gorgeous bags she made as our inspiration and here it is:

How wonderful is this-and this bag could be your's if you win!

You can be inspired by anything in the photo-the bag, the colours, the stitching (like me!), the mug, pencil, 'imagine'....anything!

So I went with a 'Kim' focused card-taking in all she loves in making her bags, the colours-the photo is quite dark but I wanted you to see the stitched white card as I thought this went with the theme!

This really was out of my comfort zone-using tiny images, fussy cutting and colouring but I quite liked the end result. And actually all these images and the stitched background are from team member Joyce who sent me them a while ago to help me with this challenge-thank you Joyce!

The other very Guest Designer for this challenge is Nathalie and you can find her on Instagram here. Nathalie is so very creative and you can find out more about her over on Time Out. I recommend visiting her Instagram account as you will love what you see!

Now pop on over to Time Out and see what the super Design Team have made to inspire you and then take some Time Out and play along!!

CASology 394

 Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology

And our cue word is 'Mask'

I went for masking my sentiment with sticky notes and then stamped the striped border stamp after.

You would think this was super quick but masking is something I do not find easy so it did take me a while to get it right.

This went to my Dad back in June for Father;s Day and he loves his garden and is always tending to it so I used green as a nod to this!

Our Guest Designer is Karen-this is her Instagram account and she has some fab cards-check it out!
Welcome Karen, we are so pleased you joined us.

Then pop on back to CASology and see what our wonderful Design Team have made to inspire you.
Enjoy!

Love!

 Hello There!

Been a while since I have felt like making a card but the photo at Just Us Girls really inspired me to get those inks out and make this:

Pretty easy to see the stripes and 'love' inspired me. The ink is actually blue although looks black here-it is 'Juniper Mist' from Catherine Pooler-a great dark blue ink.

The design I got when I saw the challenge this morning at AAA Cards-along the edge (no option taken).

Hardest part was to get the red stripes on the die cut section, to match up perfectly, to the base card, but I did it!

I decided to keep it this CAS as I just love the clean, graphic look, the way it is!

I will also enter into Addicted to CAS-geometric cards

Have a good day x
