Sweet Baby

Hi All,

My Goddaughter had her first baby last week and yesterday I made a card for her. I find making baby cards so hard. I am not good with cute images and hardly have any new baby stamps. However blog land to the rescue. A number of you and some challenges helped me create this:

:

All these stamps are from Uniko

Here is where the inspiration came from:

Ksenija's Chasing Mojo fun-I loved the lay out and stitching on Aapba's card here-I used an embossed line instead of stitching. My line has a curly top which I thought could look like the ducks were on water. I substituted the feathers for ducks but kept the sentiment at the top.

Esther's new home card here-at the 'New Beginnings' challenge at Less is More, gave me the idea to heat emboss, in white, one duck. For this I used scrap card I had previously water coloured.

This card was a challenge but I did have fun making it.

I will also enter this into:

Uniko-AG with optional twist of love-I am going with the twist as there is nothing like the love of Parents for their kids.

AAA #82 Winter Chill

Hi All

A new challenge at AAA cards starts today and our theme is:

Clean and Simple Winter Chill Cards

I thought in the Winter when it is all chilly outside what we all need is a warm and loving hug and so made this super CAS card:

This challenge is sponsored by STAMPlorations. The 'Hugs' die on my cut is from their collection of CUTplorations dies-I love the font on these dies.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Katrina. Take a look at her blog here to see all her wonderful creative projects.

Then pop over to AAA cards for more inspiration from Katrina and our fabulous DT.

I will enter this into:

Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin

Friday at last and I hope it is a good one for you all,

Have you seen the fun that Ksenija is running for us on her blog Sweet Kobylkin?

She had a great idea for us to get back into card making after the Christmas break-it is called 'Chasing your Mojo'. You can see all the details here.

I chose this card by Svetlana Pavlova and made this:

I can't seem to copy Svetlana's card but you can check it out here on Instagram or here on Ksenija's blog (number 15)

I loved her CAS style and the elements I took from this card were:

-the coloured base
-the white embossed image
-the layout
-the popped up sentiment with white embossing
-the stitched die cut

I loved making this and really liked the end result-thank you for the inspiration Svetlana and Ksenija for this fun.

I will enter this into:

CASology-cut-my stitched die from STAMPlorations
STAMPlorations-CUTplorations Jan challenge-I didn't go with the black base but did go with the coloured base and used their this stitched die from their CUTplorations range
Darnell's NBUS #8-sorry no coloured pencil's Darnell just this stitched die that hasn't been used before.

Time Out Challenges #75

Hello There,

We have a new challenge starting at Time Out today. It is our CASE (copy and share everything) the designer challenge. And the designer we are CASEing is the very talented Ksenija. Her blog Sweet Kobylkin is full of amazing and inspiring projects. I urge you to take a few moments to pop over there and have a look. I guarantee you will come back ready to craft.

Here is the card I made inspired by Ksenija's card:

I was inspired by so much of Ksenija's card and actually made my version the day I saw this card! Firstly I loved the soft stamping on the base of card but instead of stamping I used an eggshell textured card. I also really liked the tiny strip of red embossing on the side of the panel. Instead of embossing I used some black fun foam to match my sentiment. I also followed the basic curve of the leaf stamp but substituting this for a flower.

The stamps here are both from the stamp set Especially for You by Happy Little Stampers who are sponsoring this challenge. The stitched die is from STAMPlorations.

Here is Ksenija's card:

Our Guest Desigenr for this challenge is Marjan. We are very pleased Marjan is joining us for this challenge. She is a very creative designer. Take a look at her blog here and you will see all the creative projects that she makes.

So how will Ksenija's card inspire you? Our DT have made a fabulous set of cards-take a look here.

Time to kick back and take some TIME OUT with us x

Inspired by Little Things

Hi All

I hope your week goes well.

Today I am here with a card I made that was inspired by the photo this week at Inspired by Little Things-the photo captured my eye immediately. Here is what I created from all the little things that inspired me:

Here is the photo:

I was inspired by so many little things:

-the chalk board as the focus
-the love ornament
-the red glitter
-the white background
-the all over colour scheme

I do love photo challenges but think this is the first time I have played in this one-must add it to my list.

Have fun this week x

Dare To Be Fabulous!

I hope your weekend is going well,

I have been not so well over the last week and been staying in but it has helped me get some crafty projects in.

My card today dares you to be Fabulous...I know you all are!

I wanted to play along with the 'Everything Turns Gold' challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. I was inspired by Channin's card here. The purple and gold attracted my eye immediately. No surprise there! I also wanted to have another play with the fab sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch-

These stamps are super old from PTI and I only came across them when I was looking for another stamp. Then 'ping' the idea arrived. The Mendhi was heat embossed in gold and then the sentiment heat embossed in white and popped up. I know this card looks super CAS but it took me ages to decide what card base to use and what colour enamel dots. I messed about for ages until I was happy with the look.
 This will be entered into:

Enjoy the rest of your day x

Inkspirational #126

A very Happy Weekend to you all,

Our first challenge at Inkspirational starts today. We have a word prompt for you:

Flutter

I went with the obvious fluttering of the wings but I am sure you can think of many other ways to interpret this word:

I loved making this card-the colours, off the edge image, big, bold sentiment and my fav enamel dots.

Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Gina. Her blog is so very creative, take a look here

Our DT have created some wonderful inspiration for you-take a look here and get inky

I will enter this into:

Especially for You

Hello There,

I love the sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch

Here is what I came up with:

Had one of those light bulb moments and knew the stamp I wanted to use immediately. That was the easy bit but I wasn't sure what colours to use. I knew I didn't want to make a spring coloured card. I wanted to go more dramatic and Cupcake inspirations helped me out here with the black, silver and white combo.

The flower (from Visable Images) is stamped with silver delicata ink and covered with WOS which IRL looks lovely and shimmery. Then I heat embossed the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers in white and popped it up on foam pads for dimension. A few enamel gems to finish. I really like this dramatic look and I had a lot of fun making this.

I will also enter it into the CAS challenge at STAMPlorations-using the silver twist.

Have a fun day and hope you all have a good weekend.

Happy Little Stampers January CAS Challenge

Hello All

Today is my first post as a Design Team Member Happy Little Stampers.  I am so excited to be on their 'Clean and Simple' team. This month our challenge is to create and 'CAS' card using a stencil.

Here is my card:

I have used a stamp from the Happy Little Stampers Butterfly Birthday set. I heat embossed it on vellum and then fussy cut it out. I used a star stencil and distress ink, just lightly behind the butterfly. The sentiment is from the same set. These enamel dots are also from Accessories shop at Happy Little Stampers

The winner of this challenge will get $15 discount at the store.

I am very much looking forward to seeing your cards but before you start creating take a look at what the DT have made to inspire you here

Enjoy x
