Inkspirational #98

A very Happy Saturday my crafty friends,

Here at Inkspirational we have a fun challenge for you and we are calling it our 'Bah Humbug' challenge! This basically means you can create any kind of project BUT not Christmas projects! How refreshing!!

Here is what I made (and yes I really did make this!!)

My Mum and Dad are golf addicts and my Mum wanted a golfing Birthday card for her friend. I bought this stamp especially for this. Now this card stretched me to my limits. It took me hours to colour and once I had coloured it I had no idea what to do next. I hunted for some DSP and eventually found some that I thought matched the colours of her outfit with. Just to add some sparkle her whole outfit it covered with WOS so it glitters-even golfers need to sparkle on the course! So for a CAS lover this sure was a challenge and I really hope Mum's friend likes it-she will never know how many hours it took to make.

Our Guest Designer this week is the very talented Shirley. Her blog Shirley-Bee's Stamping Stuff is well worth a browse.

It will be fun to see what 'Bah Humbug' projects our DT have made...why not pop over to our blog here with me now and lets have a look.

Time Out Reminder #46

Hello my blogging friends,

I must apologise that I have not been around much recently and not been visiting your blogs. I am not so well but as soon as I am back and dancing I will be back commenting on you gorgeous cards. You know me, I love to stalk you all!!

However you will see my scheduled DT posts over the Holidays and may it be fun for you all xx

Have you joined in our photo challenge at Time Out yet?

We have this fun photo for you:

So much to inspire you here. If you need a few more Christmas cards then I am sure you can pick out a few things that will help you here. But you could also go a different route and make any other kind of project. I know many of us are little tired of Christmas cards. I admit when I made my card it was a number of weeks ago now!

I hope you can see what inspired me here. I decided to go one layer and made a few so I could mail them to my over sea buddies...perhaps some of you have them?

We are again joined with our very special and talented Guest Designer Sonja. Her card this week is amazing. I am in awe of her talent. I urge you to check our her blog The Art of Stamping.

Don't forget to see what our amazing DT have created this week to tempt you to get inky. We are really hoping you find some time to join in and take some much needed TIME OUT and craft with us xx

My sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers and I will therefore enter it into their Anything Goes Challenge

Fusion-Season's Greetings

Hello Again,

Second post today and this time I am here with the new challenge at Fusion

This week we have this photo and sketch:

You can choose to go with the sketch, the photo or combine the 2. I usually go with the photo. But, shock, horror, I have gone with the sketch this week and created this:

I have made a more CAS version of the sketch but I think you get the idea.I have used Uniko dies cut out from purple and white glitter card and a sentiment from Happy Little Stampers. I die cut a vellum circle to cover the sentiment and just added a few silver gems. I really liked how this turned out.

Our DT have all made some fabulous cards-take a look here and then get inky!

I will add this to:

Time Out #46

A very Happy Friday Eve,

Time for our last challenge of 2015 at Time Out Challenges. We end this year with my favourite kind of challenge-photo inspirations.

First my card:

And here is the photo that inspired my card:

I focused on the silver bow, the black door and the red.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Sonja. I have recently discovered Sonja through our challenge and have been visiting her blog The Art of Stamping regularly since then. She is so very talented. I urge you to take a look at her blog, sign up, so you don't miss any of her wonderful makes.

There is so much to inspire you in this photo. I was quite taken by the polka dots at first but still needed more Christmas cards at the time. But remember you don't have to go down the Christmas card route, any kind of project is welcome.

Just take some TIME OUT and have fun!

Inkspirational #97

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.

This fortnight we have our 'Word Prompt' challenge and our word is:

'Flake'

When I made this card I was still in need of Christmas cards and used one of my favourite Uniko sets. I added in a little Happy Little Stampers butterfly to go along with the sentiment! I like these non traditional Christmas colours and a butterfly is a little different for a Christmas card but it fits in with my sentiment!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Jane. Take a look at her blog here, you will come back full of ideas and be ready to join in our challenge!

Jane and our DT have all created inspiring projects to encourage you to play along. Take a look here and then get inky!

A Sunday make!

A very happy Sunday my blogging friends,

The idea for this card has been spinning in my head since I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches earlier this week and it has taken this long to make it!

I was inspired to make it after I saw this fabulous photo yesterday at Just Us Girls. All that pink immediately caught my attention. I didn't want to go with a Xmas card and decided to combine it with my idea for the Freshly made sketch card. I stamped the flower in memento luxe ink which takes a while to dry, so before it did dry I used clear heat embossing powder. IRL it is all shiny! I few sequins and silver gem to finish off!

Enjoy your day.

Fusion-Blue Christmas

Hello Again!

Time for a new challenge at Fusion

Here is our fabulous photo and sketch:

You can choose to use either the photo or sketch. Don't forget you can combine the 2!

I went with the photo and picked out the blues and silver to create this:

I had seen this gorgeous bow stamp around in blog land and eventually got my hands on it. I stamped it in delicata silver ink, added some WOS which you can't see in the photo but does sparkle IRL. The tiny sentiment and enamel dots was all I felt I needed to finish the card. It is such a fabulous stamp-perfect for us CAS lovers!

Take a look at what the rest of our DT have created here to inspire you and then get stamping and join in the fun!

Time Out Challenge #45

Happy Friday Eve,

That must mean it is time for us to take some TIME OUT to craft and join in the latest challenge at Time Out

It is the 'Inspired by Words' challenge and the words are:

Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies

You can use any of these words or the whole phrase.

I guess I should have been focusing in 'snowflakes' but I actually made this card a month ago just after I saw the latest challenges at Happy Little Stampers-see below. I was inspired by Loll's card here and Kylie's card here, to create the card I am sharing today. It luckily fitted into this challenge so I have kept it until now to show you!

The butterfly stamp I used for this is from the Butterfly Birthday set from Happy Little Stampers

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Ashwini. I have admired her cards for a long time. Her blog Experiments With Card Makings is a real delight to visit and I can assure you that just a little browse here will leave leave you inspired to create!

Our DT have all made fabulous cards inspired by this phrase. Pop over to Time Out and take a look and then kick back and get inky xx

Ho Ho Ho!

A very Happy Monday,

One week closer to Christmas!

The middle of last week I was being all smug thinking I had finished making all my Christmas cards. Then as I started addressing them I kept remembering people I had not added to my list.

CAS(E) the Sketch came to the rescue on Thursday with a fabulous sketch. And Michelle's card here gave me an idea to create this card:

Last year this was my favourite colour combo for Christmas and I don't think I have used it this year. I still love it so I am pleased I finally got to ink up these colours.

So are you finished with the Christmas cards yet?
I will enter this into Uniko-Christmas with option of CAS

Inkspirational #96

A very Happy Saturday,

I am here with a card for our photo challenge at Inkspirational.

Here is my card:

And our photo:

I was inspired by the chocolate reindeer and stamped my reindeer on tags. Fussy cutting one tag out and popping it up on foam pads for dimension.

Our Guest Designer this week is the very talented Asha. Asha was one of the first people I met in blog land and we became friends very quickly and have remained friends over the years. Please take a hop over to her blog Sunny Summer Crafts and you will be amazed at what you see. Her cards are an inspiration.

Don't forget to pop over to Inkspirational and see what my teamies have made to inspire you to join in x

Season's Greetings!

Yep still going at the Christmas cards!

I saw today that Uniko had a new Christmas challenge out with the option of CAS. I felt like a bit of crafting this afternoon so pulled out a few Uniko sets and got stamping to create this card:

I actually used 3 Uniko sets to create this CAS card! I have super enlarged the photo as the normal size didn't seem to show up all the little extra bits I had added. I find these background builder cards hard to make and am never quite sure what to add so did keep it quite simple and just ended up my colouring in the leaves with a glittery green gelly roll pen.

I had fun making it and a nice one layer which will be good for posting aboard.

The Card Concept #44

Hello All

Do you need some more Christmas cards? We are here to help at The Card Concept. This week we have this warm and inviting Christmas scene to inspire you to create:

I was inspired by the homely feel of this scene and especially the fireplace with the hanging Xmas stockings. It is only my husband and I at home but we still hang stockings up on our fireplace.

At The Card Concept you can create a project in any style you want or combine styles. These styles are explained here

My style is Clean and Simple.

I have used STAMPlorations stamps here and actually did some colouring!.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Julee. Julee is the owner of Verve stamps and her style is shabby/chic.

Check out what Julee and our fabulous DT have created here and then get inky!

Enjoy x

Fusion-Warm Welcome

A very Warm Welcome again today,

We have a new challenge for you at Fusion.

For this challenge you can be inspired by the photo or the sketch or combine the 2.

I went with the photo and created this card:

I was inspired by the bold 'welcome' and the colours. I used the 'Thinking of You' Happy Little Stampers set for the script and the butterfly and the sentiment is from Winnie and Walter. I do love the way this card came out. You know when you think of an idea and it all comes together just the way you imagine it...doesn't it make your heart happy??

Our DT have all made cards using the photo, the sketch or have fused the 2 and wow they are inspiring. Take a look here and then get inky!

How amazing is this!!

I went with the lay out, green and using the sentiment across the panel and came up with this one layer card:

The text stamp is from Happy Little Stampers and the sentiment from Visible Images

Our Guest Designer is Jen. Her blog I Create is full of inspiring projects. Take a browse and you will come back full of ideas.

Silver and Gold.

A very Happy Monday,

Don't you just love a touch of silver and gold?

Here is my card using only these 2 metallics:

I got the idea for this card when I saw the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch

The text stamp from Happy Little Stampers is stamped in delicata gold ink. The butterfly stamp, also from Happy Little Stampers, is embossed in silver on vellum. And to finish off I just added a few gold and silver enamel dots.

I will enter this into the following challenges:
