Kylie's Christmas Card Challenge

Well this is it, December is here!! Are you ready my friends? Are all your cards made?

My answers are no and no!

However Kylie is here to help us safe the day. She is running a Christmas card challenge and offering a fabulous prize (chosen by random) of a custom designed watermark and signature worth $40!!

Kylie designed my water mark to my exact wishes-to reflect my blog name and therefore we have Big Ben!!

I decided to create a card that was very close to my watermark and here you go:

I hope you can see the similarity??

And here is my watermark on its own:

She even got the font the same as my blog header....pretty cool. And how talented is that!

So do you fancy your very own watermark??

Treat yourself to a Christmas pressie and enter Kylie's Xmas card challenge here

You have until the 21st Dec 6pm (AEST)

I am also entering this into the Muse challenge. I loved Caroline's card and was inspired by her tag and the grey and red-I really am liking the use of grey as the base card!

Addicted to CAS #53

Our new challenge is hosted this week by the very creative and inspiring Loll. She has chosen for us this fun code word:

How dotty are you feeling??

I went all out dotty and super CAS and created this:

I love this polka dot Clearly Besotted stamp and die. I decided to use the negative die for this. I went crazy dotty trying to line up the die and stamp but got there in the end. I then embossed the top card with a dotty folder (how many times can I use dotty in this post!). I decided just to stamp the inside 'party time'

This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Inspired by Stamping.

We have a DT call going on at ATCAS, check out the details here

Our Guest Designer is Linda, you can see what she and the DT have created here and then it is time for you to go all dotty on us! (I knew I could get it in again!)

A few of my favourite things!

A very Happy Friday my crafting friends

I made a card yesterday full of my favourite things and inspired by the photos of 2 of my favourite challenges, Fusion and Festive Friday.

Here it is:

The stamps are Uniko 'All Occasions #4'

My last entry to these challenges was so very far from my CAS style that I decided this time I wanted to make a card that made my heart happy-do you know what I mean?

I used all the crafty things that make me happy-scored lines, linen impression plates, silver embossing, enamel dots, one rounded corner and lots of white space. Oh this card feels so much more me. I know it is very CAS but it makes me smile!

Fusion-inspired the dots like the dots on the wreath and the use of silver and red plus the white space.
Festive Friday-inspired the use of pink and the white space like the plainly but classy wrapped presents.

Addicted to Stamps and More #123

It is our 'Holiday' challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

It can be any holiday you want. I am still making Christmas cards and here is my very CAS card for you today:

I have always loved cream and white together but often forget to use it. But today I decided to die cut this bauble with some white glitter card and pop up on some gorgeous textured cream card. I love the elegant look of this card. I scored the line for the string and just used a felt pen on the score line. The layout is based on the sketch at Happy Little Stampers and the sketch at Cas(e) this sketch-they are both very similar and I have just moved the postion of the bauble for both sketches.

This challenge we are sponsored by Rick St Dennis.Their digital stamps are so funky, check them out here.

Our DT have some great holiday projects for you this week, you can see them here.

We are also having a DT call. Check out the details here

Fusion and Festive Friday inspired!

Hello my friends,

My card today was inspired by the photos at Festive Friday and Fusion.

Can you believe it-I have patterned paper, die cuts, glitter card, embossing and a decorative background, all in one card! Yes, I really did make this! It turned out completely differently than I imagined but once I started I just kept getting different ideas and I have even followed the sketch at Fusion-not done very often!

Here is where the inspiration came from:

Fusion-the doilies in the bacground, the silver, the music paper and based on the sketch

Festive Friday-the presents wrapped in pink and Kraft, the stars hanging on the tree-even my pink DSP has baby stars, the touches of gold-my sentiment.

I will also enter this into the 'Krafty Christmas' at The Card Concept. I am struggling with what style this is?? I would say it is clean and layered however not enough white space for this really...so have I made a 'Shabby, Vintage' card-doilies and the music sheet are kind of vintage-The Card Concept DT would love to know your thoughts!

I will also enter into Festive 48-Any Xmas card

The stamps I have used are all from Uniko-'decorative doilies' and 'Love Label-Christmas'

An unusual card for me but really fun to make on a dreary Friday afternoon and quite surprisingly, I like it.

A Christmas card with the optional twist of no red or green

If you twist with is you have chance of winning some prizes chosen by random (check the bottom of my post for details)

As most of you know I love using non traditional colours for Christmas and this time went with blue and pink glitter card to die cut my bauble. The pink glitter card was a pressie from DT member and very dear friend Nonni-straight after opening my goodie bag from Nonni I got the idea for this card-so thank you Nonni for the inspiration. I have stamped  the holiday song as my string and one single bauble then layered up each bauble to give lots of dimension.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Janet. You can check out her inspiring blog here.

Janet and our DT have made some very funky Christmas cards and you can check them out here

Our Prize:

If you use the twist of no red or green you will be entered into a random draw and win:

Happy Holidays!

A very Happy Friday to all

I have another Holiday card for you today:

I have played along again at Always Playing with Paper but this time I also used the colours-an unusaul combo for Xmas but you know I like this! I actally I got this idea when I saw the 'Flag' challenge at CASology this week. I had just got a new set of Uniko Stamps called 'Label Love' Chrstmas and thought these would make for a good flag especially this striped one. This was a fun card to make and a little touch of Wink of Stella for that Xmas feel.

Have a fun day x

Muse #94

Me again!

I don't normally post 2 cards in a day but I just made a card for the Muse Challenge and the next few days I have pre-scheduled posts so wanted to share this now.

I haven't played at Muse for a while but this week as soon as I saw Marion's  card I knew what I wanted to make. I loved the mix of colours and the design. I have stayed very close to this but used a butterfly stamp instead of a balloon. The stamp is from Uniko (Bright Butterflies) and the font also from Uniko (Fontiments-Birthday)
I have also added some sparkle!

I hope the photo isn't too dull, I used my daylight lamp to help brighten it up as it is dark outside now. I do love the end result and I got use my enamel dots and gems again....where have they been recently??

Thanks Marion for the inspiration.
 Here is her card:

Gold Glitter Ink!

Have you tried gold glitter ink?
I first heard about this on Tracey's blog. I loved the look this ink gave and hunted to down and now have some. It is called Delicata Golden Glitz. It looks like it has been embossed not stamped-thank you Tracey!

Here is my card today using my new ink:

My butterfly stamp is from the Uniko stamp set 'Bright Butterflies' and the sentiment is also from Uniko 'English Country Garden'-I have embossed the sentiment but the butterfly is all ink!!

I was inspired to make this after seeing a few challenges. The sketch came from a new challenge to me Always Playing with Paper-Challenge #19 and the photo at Runway Inspired is where my idea of gold and a strip of vellum came from (check out the gold striped dress).
I will also enter this into the glitter challenge at Make My Monday

And I will take this opportunity to remind you that the challenge at Uniko Studio this month is Anything Goes with an optional sketch and you can use any stamps you like and be in for a chance to win Uniko Stamps.

Happy 2nd Birthday Addicted to CAS

Have you got your party hats on?

Is it our 2nd Birthday at Addicted to CAS and hostessing our party is the very lovely and talented Karen. And to help the celebrations get started Karen has chosen a sketch to inspire us:

I really should have gone with a Birthday card but decided to get on with some more Xmas cards and created this:

I cut down on the layers in the sketch and used my snowflakes to represent the square panel-so a very CAS take on the sketch. I have used my fav Xmas colour combo with a touch of glitter card.

We are very lucky to have Scribbles Designs sponsoring us for this challenge. Check out their store here

Our Guest Designer is Linda and you can check out her card along with our DT's projects here.

We would love you to join us in our Birthday Celebration and are looking forward to see your take on our sketch.

I will enter this into CASology-Festive

Enjoy!

Time Out reminder and Festive Friday.

A very Happy Friday Eve,

I am here to remind you that you still have time to enter our 'Home Sweet Home' photo challenge at Time Out Challenges.

First my card:

And our photo to inspire you:

I have again focused on the wreath but this time used a doily stamp to represent my wreath. I decided to go with the maroon card base when I saw the photo this week at Festive Friday-the maroon ribbon reminded me that I hadn't used this colour in any Holiday cards this year. And the doily idea was inspired by the Festive Friday DT member Geri-I loved her take on the photo.

So I guess you can say my card was a joint Time Out/Festive Friday combo!

Are you ready to take some TIME OUT and join in the fun at TIME OUT Challenges?

Here is the photo from Festive Friday

I will also enter this into:

Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge-keep it flat
52 Christmas Card Throwdown-colour challenge-I have red and green gems and red sentiment and my doily is sparking snow-touches of silver
Edited to add-I will enter this into CASology-Festive I thought you had to make a tag but no I didn't read that right, just some festive fun!

Addicted to Stamps and More #121 and Fusion Inspired.

This week at Addicted to Stamps and More it is the 'Anything Goes' challenge. So you can let your creativity go where it wants to and just enjoy creating.

Here is what I created:

This card was inspired by the photo at Fusion-see below. I loved the colour of the cake and the embossed pattern on each layer. I used the colour as my card base and embossed my pattern in gold instead of white but represented this white with a ribbon.
. I love how this turned out and think I will be using gold embossing on turquoise again. I think it makes for a stylish card-hence the sentiment.

This week we are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps. Their digital stamps are fab and you could win 3 of these.

Our DT have all created delightful projects to inspire you. Check them out here and then get stamping and enjoy!

I will also enter this into Virginia's View Challenge-metallic, and CAS on Sunday-use ribbon or twine

Inkspirational #69

Time for our Word Prompt challenge at Inkspirational. This week we have:

And here is my take:

I actually got the idea for this from the decor at my Brother's Company's 25th Anniversary. My niece and sister in law designed the decor and it was amazing. I felt like I was at the Oscars! I came away full of ideas for cards and this is one. The room was surrounded by black cloth with sparkling lights just like my embossed corner of the card. I have embossed the die cut thank you with orange powder and fussy cut around it to so that it showed more on the card.
I have another card to share soon also inspired by the decor at this party.

Our Guest Designer this week is Rocky. Her blog here is a 'must see', you will be inspired!

Check out what Rocky has made for us this week plus the gems are DT have created here

Have fun getting all shiny!

I will enter this into Virginia's view challenge-metallic

TIME OUT Challenges #18

Are you ready to take some TIME OUT with me and do some crafting? I hope so because at TIME OUT Challenges we have a fabulous Christmas themed photo for you. Hopefully it will inspire you to get some of those Holiday cards made...or perhaps it will inspire a different kind of card. All are welcome at TIME OUT Challenges

Here it is:

And my take with a stamp you have seen a few times before but with a few little twists:

I really like the natural colours in this photo and my eye was drawn to the wreath hanging on the ladder. I wanted to use this wreath stamp but wasn't sure it would look right in a natural colour but I went ahead and stamped it with SU crumb cake ink on kraft card and loved how it looked. For the rest I have used red and white pens...very complicated!!

Our Guest Designer this week is Toni. I am sure many of you will know her creative and inspiring blog-if you are not, pop over there and I am sure you will come away with a list of new ideas!!

Our wonderful DT have been so creative with their takes on this photo. Check their cards out here, then you know what to do:

Take TIME OUT and get crafting!!

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Just Us Girls-wreaths
Marina's Festive 48-Any Xmas card
Merry Monday-rustic Xmas
CAS on Sunday-one layer wonder

Addicted to CAS #51

How about you welcome in November by joining in our challenge at Addicted to CAS?

Our hostess for this challenge is the very creative and inspiring crafter Vicki and she has chosen the following code word:

Here is my take:

I am not a fan of making tags so decided to take a different approach to this code word. When I was young (many, many moons ago!) we used to play 'tag'....a run and chase game where if you are 'it' you have to run around and catch someone else, 'tag' them and they are 'it'. I wasn't sure if in every country you play this or it is known by the same name? With all the 'tagging' blog hops going on at the moment I thought you would get the idea.

The children playing tag here are cut out from using a silhouette cutting machine (thanks to Marina who did this for me when I had a crafting play date with her). It took me ages to come up with a sentiment to match my image. I did some stamp surgery on the 'city scene' sentiment set from PTI to come up with this one.

This month we have Linda joining us as our Guest Designer. Check out here inspiring blog here .Then see what she and the DT have created here to inspire you this week.

Sponsoring us this week is Stamp Art Designs, their digis are wonderful and you could win some by joining in with us at Addicted to CAS

So what do you call 'tag' where you live???

Have fun!
