Life is better in.......??

.....Flip Flop!

Yep, don't we all love to be in Flip Flops!

I was making some DT cards today using from new goodies from Newton's Nook when suddenly a card idea for some challenges popped into my head!

I haven't played in any challenges for a while so Dt cards left aside and off I went to make this super, super CAS card.....even CAS for me!

I just adore these Flip Flop Life Stamps from Newton's Nook-I have the dies to match and made a few of these and they are so cute!

There are a lot of One Layer Challenges around at the moment so decided just to stamp them off the edge and use the sunray stencil from Funky Fossil Designs-yep I am getting into using stencils!

I used the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch for my layout.

I will enter this into:

AAA Cards-one layer-no option of the polar animals...went the other way-sun!
Perfectly CAS-one layer-use only one third.

Have a fun weekend ahead x

CASology #340

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology.

First off my card:

And our cue word is:

I combined a few ideas for our cue word to make this card.

First up-crystal clear thinking-so I used a bubble stamp to represent this.
Then taking crystal as the clear rock-representing this with the sentiment and the clear droplets for my 'thinking' bubbles!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Jan C. Her cards are so inspiring-jump over to her blog here and you will see what I mean!
Welcome Jan, we are delighted to have you as our GD.

What will you make of our cue word?
I can't wait to find out!

Pop on over to CASology to see what the DT have created for you and then join on in!

Our Design Team are all worth a visit and some love-here they are;

Time Out #153

Hi All,

I just love the challenge for you this week.
We are asking you to make a card inspired by an item in your wardrobe.
Your item doesn't have to be in your wardrobe now, it could be an old item you had years ago-we would love to see a photo but if you don't have one, then no worries, just tell us about it!

Here is my card:

And here is the 'Item from my wardrobe that inspired this card:

Hubby gave me this T-shirt after one of his work trips to India last year and I love it.

I had looked through my wardrobe and had found a number of items but in the end went for this as I love the distress look of the heart and the placement of the 'India'.
To make this I used a heart stencil from Funky Fossil Designs. And sponged with red and green inks to give the distress look. I then added the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays

This challenge is sponsored by the amazing Poppy Stamps. Their store is fab-check it out here.

Proud to be sponsored by

This challenge our Guest Designer is the very talented Lise-we just love her cards and her creativity just blooms-check her blog here and you will see what I mean. Welcome Lise!

Go on over to Time Out and see what Lise and the Design Team have to inspire you.

Then you know what to do-take some TIME OUT and join in with us!

A whale of a time!

Happy Friday...oops it is Thursday!

Yesterday I was feeling a bit tired and have discovered that I find stencilling really relaxing and am getting a bit addicted!

I had the idea for this card since the weekend but have been making DT cards.

The stamps have been on my desk so I decided to give it a go!

And here is what I made:

All products you see here are from Funky Fossil Designs.

The waves have been stencilled and the whale printed and fussy cut after adding come coral colouring.

This card is for:

AAA Card Challenge-sketch-this is my lay out
The Male Room-AG. I think this could actually be used for a male or female but I am leaning towards a male!

Have a fun Friday..oops again-it is Thursday!

CASology!

Hi All

I am so excited to as this is my first challenge as part of the amazing Design Team at CASology-one of my favourite challenges!

Here is what I created for this challenge:

With a 'Clean and Simple' card sometimes all you need is a sentiment, some texture, bold colours and a few embellishments, yet still keeping lots of white space!

And the cue word is:

Now you maybe wondering how I got to my card from this word!

Here are my thoughts behind using this sentiment-each day we all show courage is some way and sometimes it doesn't turn out the way we wanted BUT tomorrow we get to repeat the 'courage' we showed today and the result may be the ones we wanted....if not we repeat the next day. That little voice in our head will keep encouraging us to try again...keep repeating and you will get there!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the inspirational  Claire. We are so pleased Claire is joining us. Her cards are amazing and I have been a fan for a very long time! Pop on over to her blog here and you will see why!

Pop on over to CASology to see what the DT have created for you and then join on in!

Our Design Team are all worth a visit and some love-here they are;

Deepti (another newbie like me!), DiedreJacquieJanetJenKarenJoyceMelissaMilkaNancySue

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!

Enjoy!!
