Believe!

Hi All

Another Christmas card using another of my fav dies for Christmas and I had to play around with it to come up with an idea which was different from the ones I have used in the past-usually kraft or textured fabric for die.
This time I used glitter card!

This Nativity die is from Penny Black

Have a good day x

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi All

Just dropping in to share a card I made yesterday-I am doing housework so needed a break!

This Stag stamp comes out every year (a pressie from my lovely blogging friend Gerrina). It is one of my favs and it has been sat on my desk ready for me to make a card but I wanted to do something different with it this year-usually on kraft! A few challenges helped me out here!
The stag is gold embossed and the sentiment from Uniko has been black embossed onto vellum which I tore to go with the 'That's Torn it' challenge at Less is More.
The layout is from the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch

I will also enter this into the 'Christmas Challenge at Uniko-option not taken (tree)

O.k back to chores!

xx

Because of you!

Hi All

I made this card yesterday for my hubby.

Often times are hard and tears fall-way too much! There is someone who is there to make these cries less, help me to laugh and smile more than I really feel or want to....he is my rock. I made him this card to let him know how much I appreciate this and how much I love him. It may seem a cute image for a guy but when he went away a while ago I made some cards for him and I asked him what was his favourite was and it was the one that I had used this same set Chubby Unicorns from Funky Fossil Designs but with the 2 unicorns!

The sentiment is so perfect for this and is from Unity-a pressie from my dear friend Cornelia when we met in London a few months ago.

I thought my Unicorn needed a little colour so I added a few touches using the colours at Cupcake Cake Inspirations-yellow, red and orange.

Also entering CASology-Appreciate...well this is what this card is all about!
AAA Cards-one image-I didn't use the twist of shimmer

Have a good day.

Christmas Weekend Make!

Hi All

A card today using one of my fav Christmas stamps.
I usually just stamp this in green but decided to do something a little different this year and embossed in burgundy on kraft and add some torn edges using my distress tool.

The wreath is from Penny Black and the sentiment Uniko.

Have a good day x

I will enter this into:

Less is More-that torn it-my edges are torn using a distress tool
AAA Card Challenge-one image with option of shimmer-the embossing does shimmer but hard to see here!

Time Out #148

Hi All

Today is not only a special day as it is time for our photo challenge at Time Out Challenges but also because it is my dear cousin and teamie Lynn's Birthday-Happy Birthday Lynn-love you xx

And here is my card:

And the image that inspired this:

Plaid Christmas Bedroom / Featuring white walls, Red Plaid Bedding from HomeGoods (sponsored) and a full spruce Christmas tree. How to decorate a white and red Christmas bedroom.

I went for the Christmas theme and picked out the texture of the cushions and used felt for 'Joy'. I also picked out the touches of green from the wreath.
What inspires you in this photo? I can't wait to see!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Angie. I am sure many of you know Angie and what a fabulous designer she is but if not pop on over to her blog Cimbacreativefun-you will love what you see and come back ready to take some Time out and get crafty.

Get some more inspiration from Angie and our super Design Team here

Have fun!

Lots of London Fog!

Hi All

I have been thinking of an idea for the 'Fog' challenge at CASology since it has been out for nearly 2 weeks!

Finally I got it!

First the card:

I suddenly remembered that one of my memento inks was called 'London Fog'...how cool is that! So decided I had to link this with the name of my blog.

So I blended a piece of Bristol card with London Fog ink then stamped my London city scape. Then I used some vellum die cut bubble talks (which I converted to clouds!) I used the same London Fog ink to blend on these.....That is all a lot of ink blending for me but I thought it turned out quite good but did take me a while!

Popped up the skyline strip and the added the tiny sentiment in that London Fog ink and used grey fog looking card for the base and yes London looks like this today!

I play along at:

Have a fun day x

Inkspirational #199

Hi All

I am the lucky one to be choosing the choice of what to make ths time!

I went with my fav kind of card-one layer....I know not many like this but I am at my happiest making one layer and just using ink and stamps. I are not asking for all this-just one layer.

Using Stamp set Snow is Falling from Visible Images-just stamps and ink and one layer-oh my happy heart.

Not so sure the rest of the team are happy with my choice but they sure made some fan cards-check them out here

Then join us!

Enjoy x
