Fusion take 2!

Hi All

The photo at Fusion inspired me so much,I had to make another card but with a completely different take.

This time the inspiration came mainly from the picture on the wall that looks like an eye chart you read when you get your eye's tested! And also from that black and white rug.

Here is my take:

Using the eye chart that blogging friend Jill sent me a while ago now....yes Jill I am still using the pack of goodies-thank you!
I just used a stitched die around it and the same with the black and white paper and added a few glitter dots as a nod to the gold in the photo!

I will enter this into:

Fusion-Photo totally inspired card!

Time Out Challenge #132

Hi There,

A huge thank you for everyone who celebrated our 5th Birthday with us!

I was overwhelmed by what Party People you really are..rock on!!

Now it is time for our first challenge of our 5th Year.

It is our photo challenge:

And a closer look at the photo so you can see more details:

Estimated Shipping is 2-3 weeks. Add drama to any room with these beautiful statement pieces. Vintage butterfly prints and high quality gold frame. Made in the

And the card I made for this:

Pretty easy to see I went for the navy of the sofa and the pink flowers but also the idea of one large image as we see in the butterfly.
I have used CAS-ual Friday Stamps-supercalifragilistic and word ribbon-heat embossing all words in pink embossing powder.

This card is very special to me as I just lost my very dearest friend to cancer a week ago. I am pleased she is no longer in pain but it feels so weird not to be able to pick up the phone and have a laugh with her-we laughed right up until the end. She loved all the cards I sent her....it was all I felt able to do in the end and it did make her smile x

This challenge is sponsored by Altenew and the winner will get a $20 gift voucher to use in their store!
Proud to be Sponsored by

It's Purple Day-the international Day to raise awareness of Epilepsy

Hello my friends,

Today is 'Purple Day'-the international day for raising awareness for Epilepsy.

No....it was not me who chose purple-my fav colour-it really is the colour used for Epilepsy Awareness!.

Today we try to spread the word about this condition and make people more aware of it, dispel some of the myths that surround it and educate more people about it.

What better way to spend this day but to make a purple card. Plus the wonderfully creative Fikreta has organised a hop for us-we do have some prizes along the way but our main aim is to raise awareness.

Fikreta talks about some of the facts and myths on her blog post so I will just tell you my story but if you want to know more about Epilepsy-visit Epilepsy Society

Here is my purple card for today!

Me and My Epilepsy Journey

Please feel free to not read this and go straight to my giveaway on Instagram or the hop.

I suffer from Epilepsy which is caused by lesions on my brain called cavernomas. These lesions are hereditary and so a number of my Family also suffer.

For 20 years medication kept my seizures mainly under control. But for the last 14 years the lesions have grown, bled and increased in numbers and now my seizures are not under control and I have been told are likely never to be. I suffer from at least 3 seizures a day. I no longer work, travel alone etc. It has effected my life so much, both physically and mentally and I have to work around the seizures and the medication side effects.

However I have a loving and caring husband and Family who are always there to support me.

Plus I have you all! Crafting is my escape and the support and love I get from you all means the world to me.

Running the challenge Time Out has also been such a support to me as I really don't craft that much so the administration needed to run this has kept my 'Management Brain' going and helps with my memory etc. The Design Team there are fabulous and so supportive-thank you all x

I would like to thank if you got to read this all!

And as another thank you I am also doing an Instagram giveaway for a $25 gift voucher for STAMPlorations.

Go over to my Instagram account here or click on the camera icon at the top right of my blog, to be for a chance to win!

And now time to hop with all these amazing designers:

I made a card!!

Hi All

It has been a while since I made a card but the idea for this card has been in my head all week after seeing the latest 'Earth' challenge at CASology

I really wanted to use this Globe image and sentiment and the 'Twilight' ink from Catherine Pooler.

A few other challenges gave me some extra ideas and the card came together finally!!

I cut out a die and stamped the image in this 'twilight' ink-I finally have found a grey ink I love-thanks Jenny for the tip on getting this ink!

I coloured in 3 flowers yellow and 3 grey with copics-even did some shading!!
Both if these so I could enter:

Less is More-3 of something
AAA Challenge-one plus 3 friends-my friends being-stamped image, copics and stitched die-oh and a matted layer-the top die is on foam pads!

I will also enter:

Hello crafty friends!

I am here with a new challenge at Time Out Challenges and it is a very special one as we are celebrating our 5th Birthday!!

We are celebrating with an 'Inspired by Words' challenge-where you can use any of the words or the whole phrase to inspire you-here they are:

And I made a Birthday card:

The fabulous sponsor for our Birthday is Stamplorations, who are offering a $50 gift voucher for our winner! Thank you to Shery, owner and designer of STAMPlorations, plus a DT member for us at Time Out since we began, 5 years ago!!

Here I have used their stamps sets Trendy Butterflies 2 and Noteworthy 2

As it is our Birthday, I thought I would celebrate myself by making my favourite kind of card and in my favourite colour..CAS, one layer and purple.....did I really need to tell you!

I used my gorgeous Flirty Fuchsia Catherine Pooler ink for the butterfly....love, love this ink!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very creative Kara. Her blog is full of crafty delights-check it out here. We are over the moon she is joining in our special Birthday celebration.

On a personal note I would like to thank all our fabulous players at Time Out, our past and present Design Team Members and our Sponsors for all your support. Without this we would not be here and I am grateful to you all.

Now....you know what to do.....take some Time Out and celebrate but first pop on over here, to see what our Deign Team and Kara have made to inspire you!

Inkspirational #182

Hi There,

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational-my fav challenges-a photo challenge!

First up my card:

And now the photo that inspired my card:

There is so much here to inspire you!

I picked out the pink and blue in this card and then I based my card on the pattern of the gorgeous fun headboard-it just reminded me of medallion stamps. I used the Medallion mix set. This idea came to me after I remembered Lynn's card here on Instagram. I loved the way she combined the medallions and used the different colours-she very kindly said I could CASE her card-thank you Lynn.

I kept the base card and the label in grey to match the wallpaper grey base.

Our fabulous team made some stunning cards based on this photo-take a look here and then get crafting away!

Let's Bounce Some ideas!

Hi All

The 'Bounce' challenge at CASology got me thinking this week. I have no images of footballs etc, so I kept thinking how else could I approach this 'bounce' word?

Then pop....a light bulb moment!. I thought about when you 'Brainstorm' ideas with others-what is it you are doing....bouncing ideas until you get what you want...or just so many ideas you have bounced too much!!

Here is what I made:

It took me a while to think of a card that I would actually use until I came up with doing some stamp surgery....so inside the card I stamped 'of you'......now I can send it!!

Plus I am entering to into AAA Card Challenge-3 plus one-no twist for me-I went with a die cut, 3 embellishments and one matted layer-my panel is popped up from the base and my middle speech bubble is popped up-although hard to see from photo!

And entering Simon Says Wednesday Challenge-AG-my speech bubbles are from Simon Says.

Have a fun day xx

Celebrate!

Hi All

This was mean't to be a super quick card as my mojo has disappeared this week.
I thought making a 'one layer, stamp and go' card might get it back for me.
Well no...this turned out taking ages...getting the stamps in the right place, turning into a 2 layer card-due to huge smudges everywhere on my one layer!
Still I got there in the end-slightly irritated but card made!

I made this for the Winnie and Walter 5th Birthday Bash-this is for Shay's challenge-use 5. I have used the same stamp 5 times and in 5 colours and 5 enamel dots. The stamp is-Dotty About You-from Winnie and Walter. The sentiment is also from Winnie and Walter-The Big, the Bold and Party

I used the colours from the latest challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More-all new Carherine Pooler Inks

I liked these combo of colours as they can be used for a make or female card but I had more male cards in mind as I have a few male friends who will be celebration soon.

Have a fun Friday.
