Inkspirational #181

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.

Our super teamie Carol has asked us to:

USE OUR STASH

After a hunt through my stash box, here is what I made:

When I first began I had no idea what I was going to make. A hunt through and play around with some gorgeous stash goodies that had been sent to me from my teamies at Time Out....I came up with this.
I got the cluster of flowers from Stephnanie and the wooden centre dot and small card base from Jenny-you know these are stash that my Time Out teamies sent me 2 Birthdays ago...they all sent me so much I still have it and use it regularly-how fab is that!

So not strictly 'my stash' but kept in 'my stash' box and I consider it mine!!

We have the fabulous Lindsey joining us for this challenge and she has made an amazing card. Her blog Bashful Blogging is well worth a visit, it is full of inspiring projects.

Then pop on over to Inkspirational and see what the DT have made to inspire you.

Enjoy!

I will enter this into:
The Card Concept-look at those background flowers, the colours and fan shapes-these are inspiration (my card is CAS and layered)

Lemons or Vodka???

Do I really need to ask???

Here is another 'one layer card' that focuses on the sentiment for Less is More

All stamps are from Wplus9. A set sent to me by my dear friend Jill-thanks Jill!

I just did a bit of masking to get the 2 colours onto the one sentiment...a little tricky but I did it after a few failed attempts.

Have a vodka on me!

I will also enter this into:

Dance the Waves of the Storm.

Happy Monday

I hope your week has started well.

When I saw the challenge of 'Waves' at CASology, I knew I wanted to make a card about 'waves of emotions', but couldn't find a sentiment that I wanted to use. And it wasn't until the challenge at Less is More-focus on the sentiment, one layer card-that I thought of this sentiment!

I thought the whole sentiment summed up 'waves of emotions' but also that a 'storm' produces 'waves' of water, winds etc
Now I look at the card the dancer's body seems to curl around the sentiment like a 'wave'-this is just not my intention when I made the card, but I see it now!!

Oh and I just realised this works for AAA card challenge-use one corner with the optional twist of music-my card uses the optional twist...can't dance without music!!

Have a fun day x

Another Stencil!

Hi All

I know I have gone a bit stencil mad this week!!

This time I used a new to me technique that I picked up from this tutorial by Loll-it is using brushos with stencils. Her advice was so easy to follow I actually did the stencil in less than 5 mins...my kind of crafting! I obviously had to wait until it dried and then design the rest of the card but I am definitely going to do this again.

I used another of Funky Fossil Design stencils and lemon brusho.

I cut off the edge of the heart for more interest using a stitched die and added this Concord and 9th sentiment-stamped in 'Juniper Mist' Catherine Pooler Ink-which is a lovely navy.

I made this for the 8th Birthday of Less is More-Yellow and Navy-I have actually been thinking of ideas for this for 2 weeks as I knew I wanted to use a navy base but only got the idea after seeing the challenge and CAS Stencil-to use powered inks-mine being brushos (I can't believe I entered a stencil challenge!!)

I am also going to enter this into the (Pin)spirational Challenge-the flowers-like in my stencil-and the little yellow love heart sweets are an inspiration!

This was a fun card to make!

Enjoy Friday x

Challenge #129 Time Out

Hi All,

Time for a new challenge at Time Out.

It is our theme challenge:

I went with Retro Colours and came up with this:

Don't forget, on our 'theme' challenges you can choose to go 'one layer' card . If you do make a 'one layer' card you are in for a chance to win our prize of 3 stencils from our sponsors Funky Fossils Designs-we choose this randomly.

This is the
Beautiful Mandala Stencil from their store. Sarah is the designer and makes these stencils-she is so very creative and actually used to be a Design Team member on Time Out-we miss her!. Her blog is Funky Fossil Designs

This is really my first go at using a big stencil like this but loved doing it and will try it more often.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very creative Esther. She is an amazing designer and we are so pleased she could join us for this challenge. Her blog Shoregirl's Creations is a delight to visit-pop on over there!

Then rush right over to Time Out and see what amazing cards they have made to inspire you to go 'retro' with us!

Enjoy!!

Twofer Stars

Hi There

I have been doing a bit more stencilling!

And I finally got to enter the Twofer Card Challenge-which is all about 'Stars'.
I have entered once before but for some reason I usually have no ideas for this challenge-but not this month!

I have used another stencil from Sarah's online shop here. I used the star stencil!.

Here are the two cards together:

The pink card could be used for many occasions such as a Birthday, Congrats card or just genrally telling someone how fab they are!

And the second is a Chrsitmas card-another one to add to my stock!

Both cards were inspired by other challenges.

This card was inspired by both the sketch and the pink and gold in the photo at Fusion-see below.

This card was inspired by the single sketch at Stick it down.

Have a great day x

Inkspirational #180

Hi All

Time for our 'Word Prompt' challenge at Inkspirational an the word is:

TEXT

I decided to go with a background designer text paper that is for Xmas.

The background text paper was in my stash and has been for years! And the sentiment and hearts are all dies from STAMPlorations
The 'Merry and Bright' is cut from embossed card but is quite hard to see here. And the little hearts were actually just lying on my craft table-made from glitter foam-that had been leftovers from cutting another die!!

I didn't add any dimension to this deliberately as I am thinking postage cost already!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Lindsey. Her blog Bashful Blogging is a delight to visit-I urge you to pop on over there and have a look!

Pop on over to Inkspirational and see what amazing designs my teamies have for you.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Enjoy!

More Love!

Hello there!

I had my second go at using a full stencil today (you will see my first for Time Out later this week). If you follow me, you will know-stencils scare me!! But I think this one turned out pretty good-well I like it!!

I used the Floral Layering Heart from Funky Fossil Designs-check these stencils out, they are amazing!

I used the colours from CAS Colour and Sketches. I gently used pink for the centre flowers and then blended in red for the outer flowers. Using grey as the card base.

The gorgeous sentiment is from CAS-ual Friday Stamps.

I will enter this into:

CAS Colour and Sketches-pink, grey, red
The Card Concept-easy to see those hearts inspired me! And my design is CAS, perhaps with a touch of layers.
Cupcake Inspirations-the hearts, the red and pink

Thanks A Bunch!

Hi All

This card was originally inspired by CASology-Bouquet challenge then I noticed it fitted into a few others-see below!

I am very blessed that most of this card was made from recent gifts I received from crafty friends in the last week! The vase die was from Barb-thank you so much x. I cut this from card I had previously water coloured-it is from My Favorite Things.
The stamp I used is from a set that friend and teamie at Time Out-Jill-thank you so much Jill. This set is from Winnie and Walter

How lucky am I to have such lovely and generous friends, I have met in out lovely community!

I discovered this card also fitted the following challenges as well as CASology

The Flower Challenge-use your latest stamps or dies-both die and stamp arrived this week!
CAS Mix Up-dimensional die cuts-all the dies here are popped up on foam dots, right from stitched die, vase and flowers. So IRL there is a lot of dimension! My option was water colouring.

Have a super day x

Hi All

Popping in with a quick card today-sharing in all the 'Love' in blogland!

Using STAMPlorations-Romantic Expressions 1

I will enter this into:

Guest Designer at Addicted to CAS

Hi All,

I am very excited today to say I am Guest Designer at Addicted to CAS.

I was over the moon a few weeks ago to win their 'snowflake' challenge and so honoured to be asked back to be their Guest Designer-such a talented Design Team-a joy to be playing along with them today.

Here is my card:

To fit their cue word:

In my bio at Addicted to CAS I say how much I love 'stamp and go, one layer cards'.
So I thought I would make one for this challenge.

It is a while since I used this gorgeous Penny And Black Hummingbird stamp. I love this stamp so decided it would be perfect for this challenge and stamped it using the gorgeous Flirty Fuchsia Catherine Pooler Ink

I also love stamping images off the edge as I have done here.
Matched this with a sentiment from STAMPlorations and a few gold glitter dots and done!

So what will you make using this cue word?
Looking forward to seeing your cards.

Enjoy and thank you Addicted to CAS for this honour x

Turner's Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Hi All

Today I am joining the Turners Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Never heard of Turners Syndrome before?

Well that is why we are hopping today.

Blogging friend Lori has a daughter who has Turners Syndrome and it is was the first time I had heard of it-here are a few details of it:

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

For all details of how to join in the hop, see how to win the amazing prizes we have for you-pop on over to Lori's Hop Home Page

Here is the card I made inspired by the colours and graphic below:

The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays and here are the colours and graphic:

Time to hop-pop on over to the official hop site here to find out all the details and be in for a chance to win some amazing prizes.

Please spread the word about Turners Syndrome-just tell your friends about the hop-it all helps.

Thanks so much and have a good day x

I will enter this into:

Thank You Di blog hop-as a thank you to Di-who has been running Pixie Snippets Playground for 7 years now! For more details on this pop on over to Darnell's blog-most of this card is 'snippets' found in my stash box!
