Warm Winter Wishes

Hi All

Just dropping in to share a card I made yesterday-I am doing housework so needed a break!

This Stag stamp comes out every year (a pressie from my lovely blogging friend Gerrina). It is one of my favs and it has been sat on my desk ready for me to make a card but I wanted to do something different with it this year-usually on kraft! A few challenges helped me out here!
The stag is gold embossed and the sentiment from Uniko has been black embossed onto vellum which I tore to go with the 'That's Torn it' challenge at Less is More.
The layout is from the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch

I will also enter this into the 'Christmas Challenge at Uniko-option not taken (tree)

O.k back to chores!

  1. What a handsome dude this is, Sandie!!! SO charming on the red card... and the torn vellum was the perfect move, my friend! Thanks for playing cards with CTS!! xx

  2. The vellum looks so pretty - almost like snow hills with the deer peeking out!

  3. fabulous card Sandie, the stag is so elegant looking and looks super embossed in gold against the red background xx

  4. Wonderful card, Sandie, and I'm so glad you were brave and stepped out of your comfort zone!

  5. Hi Sandie ! Love the look of gold on red!The sentiment looks fab on the torn vellum. Thanks for playing along at Uniko!

  6. I had that stagstamp in my hands sunday and had so much of a struggle to lay it back and first use another stamp :) Good to see that you still like it! And thanks for the link!
So great to see a red base for this beautiful card! The gold embossing is different and beautifully soft on it and a great way to use the torn from LIM! Hugs, Gerrina

  7. Eeek, Sandie ... chores on a Sunday ... hope you got chance to just chill too! What a stately, elegant stag ... so handsome in the gold against the red ... and s fabulous contrast to the dreamy vellum sentiment strip! Hugs, Anita :)

  8. WOW! Striking, fun and beautifully vibrant Sandie. Love the torn vellum strip for your sentiment. Thanks for joining the Uniko challenge this month and hope you are well xx
