Time Out Challenges #34

Happy Friday Eve,

I think we all need to take some TIME OUT and craft a little. We have our photo challenge at Time Out Challenges for the next 2 weeks. This challenge is based around home interiors. I do love this challenge and here is our photo:

This photo gave me so many ideas to create. Would I go with the bricks, the pinks, reds, touch of grey and black, how about chevrons?

However the more I looked at this I kept thinking of using a negative die to represent the door and what do you say when you open the door...hello. I created this:

I used a touch of the pink and I have actually embossed the top card with a brick looking plate although it is hard to see this in the photo.

This week our Guest Designer is Sue. Her blog really is a delight to visit-pop over there and you will be inspired!

Our DT have all created outstanding cards that you can check out here

Then kick back, take a look at the photo and create!

Inkspirational #85

A very Happy Weekend to you all,

We have our 'word prompt' challenge at Inkspirational and this time our word is:

WILD

Here is my take on this word:

I went with the idea of going a little 'wild' when creating. When starting out along the creative route we all need to take a little 'wild' step-well I certainly did. I had never been creative before and card making needed me to' create without fear', I needed to' unleash my creativity' and 'dare to be creative'. All steps that felt a little 'wild' to me. Now I do create, I  tend to stay in my comfort zone of CAS. Perhaps now and then I should get a little wild and go all patterned paper, layers and ribbons on you!

Out Guest Designer this week is Jen. Her blog, My Paper Epiphany is full of inspiring projects. Take a look around and leave her some love.

Our DT have all got different takes on the word-take a look here and then get inky!

Uniko June Challenge

Hi All

It is time for our June Challenge at Uniko Studio and this month our theme is:

Anything Goes with the optional twist of a masculine card.

I went for the twist as this card is for one special man in my life. I made a card using my favourite Uniko stamp Paradise Humming Bird. You have seen me use this many times but there are still many different ways I could use this.

I started here by embossing the stamp and then used the water colour masking fluid on the stamp so I could create a sky water colour look around the image. This took a while to dry. I then water coloured the bird in yellow. This was left over night to flatten under boxes.

For this challenge we are joined by 2 amazing Guest Designers, Anita and Melissa. Both are so very creative and I would take some time out to visit their blogs.

Anita, Melissa and the DT have all made some amazing cards to inspire us-you can check them out here. Where you will also see all the ways you can win Uniko goodies!

Time Out Reminder

Have you played along with our latest challenge at Time Out Challenges?

It is our 'Inspired by Words' challenge and the words are:

'Happy is the Bride that the sun shines on'

You can be inspired by any of these words or the whole phrase. Last week I went with the Wedding theme but this week I went for 'sun' and created this:

I did some masking and water colouring to create a sunset and sea scene and then embossed my sentiment. Then I popped this up on some patterned paper-yes my friends, patterned paper!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Sue. We are so happy that Sue is joining us and you can check out her blog, Sue's card Craft, and I assure you that you will come away ready to craft.

Our DT have made some wonderful creations to inspire you. Check them out here.

Now, you sure do need some TIME OUT to get crafty and join in the fun xx

Addicted to Stamps and More is 3!

At Addicted to Stamps and More we are celebrating our 3rd Birthday!

Kylie started this blog 3 years ago and it has grown and grown. Her hard work, organisation and team leadership has inspired this growth-so congratulations Kylie on this special day!

Our challenge this week is 'Clean and Simple' and I have made a 'celebration' card for our Birthday.

I have die cut 5 celebration and the top one is covered in WOS but unfortunately you can't see it in the photo. However IRL it is all sparkly.

Our sponsors this week are:

They are all fabulous sponsors and please do visit their stores so you can see some goodies that you could win.

I am looking forward to seeing how you help us celebrate our 3rd Birthday.

I will enter this into the 'Stacked Dies' challenge at Just Us Girls

Happy Holidays

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

This week as soon as I saw Chriss's card at Muse:Christmas Visions I knew I wanted to play along. I made this card a few days and am finally getting now to post it.

I loved Chriss's CAS design and the sweet little bird perched on the sentiment. My card is very similar except I made mine one layer and changed the position of the bird.

This wreath stamp is a new one, to me, from Winnie and Walter, the little bird is from Uniko and the sentiment is from PTI

I think a few of these cards will be made as they are very quick to do and being one layer will cut the cost of postage!

I will be off to have a look at the other Christmas visions later x
