Fusion-Falling Leaves Bouquet

Hello crafty friends

Back again today but this time for our new challenge for Fusion. For this challenge you can use either the photo or the sketch below or combine the 2.

I find sketches tough but this time I had a go plus combined the colours in the photo. So this week I fused the challenge!

I needed a card for a dear friend who had just got a new amazing job. I wanted to congratulate  her and we all know the best way to do this is to get crafty.

The DT over at Fusion have created inspiring projects showing you a variety of ways you could interpret the photo, the sketch or fuse the 2.

I am really looking forward to visiting your blogs to see what you make of this challenge.
You have until Tuesday 13th midday (PST) to join in the fun

Go and get crafty...we are waiting!

Time Out #41

A very Happy Friday Eve,

It is time for our 'Inspired By Words' challenge. We have gone all poetic on you this week and have a quote from the American Poet William Callum Bryant:

 'Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile'

With this challenge you can use any of these words or the whole phrase. For example you might want to focus on Autumn or Smile but you could also use any of the other words. We would love to see what you might come up with for 'last'. Just let your creativity bloom!

This week our Guest Designer is the very talented Glenda

Glenda's blog My Paper Cat is a joy to visit. Check out her wonderful stitching designs here

This week I decided to focus on 'Autumn'

Unfortunately my Mum needed a sympathy card and I thought these Autumn colours would give a calming feel to the card. I just masked off a strip and used orange and yellow ink randomly on these leaves and stamped them repeatedly.

For this lay out I used the sketch at Sovushka Slavia

I will enter this into the 'Autumn Colours' challenge at Make My Monday and the photo challenge at (PIN)spirational Challenge

And also the CAS challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More

Our DT have all got inspired by our poetic phrase this week, take a look here and then get inky x

Oh What Fun!

Hope you are all having a good day,

I have just made a card that is quite different for me. I have used patterned paper, a banner and paper pieced. Honestly, I really have plus I had a lot of fun creating this:

This was inspired by Tracey's card at Muse. I went with the kraft, the lay out and instead of a leaf, I added this fun banner. I cut a slit in the top of the mug so I could pierce my banner into the it. I have stamped the 'cool beans' in the centre of the mug but the rest has been paper pieced using paper I found that matched the banner.

I was going to make this card more CAS but decided to go with more patterns after I saw the latest 'Birthday' challenge at The Challenge. I loved all the patterns in the photo and I also used the colours as a base.

I am joining the The Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with this card as my colours have an Autumn feel.

The sentiment stamp is from Happy Little Stampers. They have a new release out-check it out here.

Enjoy your day x

The Science of Dreams

Hello there,

Over the last few days there have been some really inspiring challenges that I have wanted to join in and then today up pops the latest challenge from CASology and I had a light bulb moment...and combined 3 of these challenges.

Here is my card:

Did you know the 'Science of Dreams' is called 'Oneirology'? When I saw the 'Science' challenge at CASology I googled 'types of sciences' and a huge list came up. On the list was the 'Science of Dreams'.

Light bulb moment...combine the 'dream' challenge at Addicted to CAS with CASology plus the 'word play' challenge at AAA cards. I love cards that focus on the sentiment so the AAA challenge was on my list.

I do love this sentiment. It is an old Verve sentiment and I just did some masking so I could emphasis the 'dream' part of it. Added a few hearts from Uniko and linen embossed to give me a one layer CAS card.

I will also enter this into the Geek Chic challenge at The City Crafter

Have a dreamy day x

Muse Bubbles

Hi All

Today my card was inspired by Anita's card at Muse. As soon as I saw Anita's card I loved how she had created the bubble background and wanted to give it a go.

Here is my attempt:

This took me such a long time as I wanted to use 2 different tiny circle stamps I have from STAMPlorations. I hadn't realised it would take ages to stamp and heat emboss. I then water coloured over these in soft pastel colours as Anita did.

Not my usual style but I did find it fun to do something a bit different.

Here is Anita's card and thanks for the inspiration Anita.

Inkspirational #92

A very happy weekend my crafty friends,

This week at Inkspirational we have our photo challenge.

Here is my take on the photo:

Here is the photo:

I was inspired by the Autumn colours, leaves and texture.

My 'Happy' die is cut from cork and layered onto a linen card base to give my card the texture I wanted.

This week we are joined by Jen as our Guest Designer. Check out her blog Magic Flying Boots and you will see so much creativity.

Our DT have all come up with some wonderful examples of how to interpret this photo-take a look here.

Time to get inky and join in the fun.

I will enter this into:

Round and Round we go!

A very Happy Friday,

My card today was inspired by three challenges.

Here it is:

First off I got the colours from this week's photo at The Challenge. The bright pink and grey cushions caught my eye immediately.
Next, I had lots of ideas for the 'circles' challenge at CASology but waited for the sketch to come out yesterday at CAS(E) this Sketch. I find when I have a few ideas for the CASology challenge that CAS(E) this sketch can help me channel them. I often enter these challenges together.

I ended up with a one layer circle card, with the pops of colour I wanted and to add more circles used some white sequins.

I will also enter this into the 'no designer paper' challenge at SSS Wednesday

Hope you like it and have a fun day x
