AAA Cards #65 and 2nd Birthday and blog Hop!

Hi There,

Lots of fun happening here today. Not only is it my first time joining the Design Team at AAA cards but it is our 2nd Birthday.

We want to see lots of CAS Birthday cards for this challenge plus we have an amazing amount of sponsors with lots of ways to win-check out how at our blog here

I decided to make a very 'Sandie' card for my first card at AAA and used my fav colour and background stamp that my very good friend Nonni give and this bold sentiment from Winnie and Walter

  • My Treasure hunt word is somewhere in this post (it might be in bold and my fav colour!!)
My question is:

  • Which city do you love best and why?

Mine is London and I like it because 'you can never get bored of London'

If you leave a comment on my post and answer this question you could win a £10 gift voucher from UnikoI will choose my favourite answer.

Now time to blog hop. Hop to each DT member's blog, we all have prizes to be won:

  4. A spectacular Sandie style showcase and welcome to your first outing as an AAA Design Teamie - so thrilled to have you on board! Arrrgh Cities I'm not a city girl to be honest I need space and peace and scenery. I adore Switzerland so would have to say Geneva as it's on the gorgeous lake with stunning views yet still close to all the hussle, bussle and expensive shops of the city!!!! Sarah x

  9. Signature card Sandie and an absolute beauty - love that purple! Mmm favourite city? Well I'm with Melissa and prefer the peace and quiet of the countryside, but I do rather like the town of Bury St Edmunds if that counts or anywhere with a good M&S pleases me.

  17. Pretty card! Love that bold sentiment and the fun color... great little sequin stamp to embellish it too!
My favorite city... Santa Barbara, CA! I lived there when I was little and grew up not too far from there. Lots of great memories of visiting my grandparent's home there and spending holidays at their Victorian house. Also the beach and the shops on State Street were always a treat to see!

  18. That is a great font on your card. Very nice.
My favorite city ... hmmm... hard to say for sure but I really liked Miami when I was there last year. I have never been to England or Ireland or Europe but I bet I could find a favorite in one of those places. Or Hawaii or.... My favorite would probably have to be wherever I am at any given time. There is always something to love wherever you are.

  20. Awesome CAS card! I don't have a favorite city. In fact I don't like the big cities. I was born in Chicago and I don't even like Chicago. I'm a country girl and have lived in the country almost my entire life. There's nothing like sitting outside in the evening and sipping lemonade, looking up at the stars and listening to the crickets or loons.

In Finland my favorite city is Helsinki with all it's cool cafes and restaurants + beautiful outdoor spaces where to hang out... And the presence of the sea is all the time in the air. From places abroad... I think my fave city must be London! I love the mixed atmosphere of London with businessmen, tourists and trendy or bohemian locals... The shops, the restaurants and THE PARKS. Love the parks. Love love love. Oh and I do love Howarths too, the woodwind shop, although they always "rob" me. ;) I also love my favorite Sandie who lives there and her beautiful flat!

  40. Lovely CAS card! Wow, I'm not sure I can pick just one favorite city because I love so many for different reasons. Some of my favorites in the US are New York, Boston, San Francisco, and Portland. Some of my favorites I've visted outside the US are Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Lisbon. I'll be traveling to Sydney later this year and have a feeling it will be on my list soon, too. LOL

  41. I love the gorgeous CAS design and the most stunning magenta colour! Thank you for playing along with the STAMPlorations CAS Challenge. We hope to see you back again soon! Karola, DT, InvisiblePinkCards
Also, my favourite city is Helsinki, I never appreciated my home town until I moved to another country, and now every time I go back I just marvel at the beauty of the city I didn't see before - the sunsets over the sea in the summer or the glistening snow and the beautiful lights in the winter. And now I'm making myself home sick :)

  42. Such a wonderful CAS card. I love the bright purply pink brush strokes off the side, and the bold black sentiment. Hard to pick a favorite city in the US, and I have only been to Canada and Mexico outside, but it has to be New York. Amazing place. Washington, Seattle, and San Francisco are also on my list.

  47. Beautiful Color you used on your card! My favorite city is New York City. I love the musical theater!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Very Sandie signature style card, CAS and purple and fab!
Favorite city? Here's the thing. My goal is to visit as many countries and places as I can while I can, so can't revisit all the places I've loved for different reasons. But I have 2 exceptions. Dubai for its east meets west atmosphere and city and beach, 2 in 1! Love visiting Prague, I've lost track on how many times I've been there. Love their rustic cuisine, the ambiance and nice prices. And the architecture is just wow. But Oslo is a city I love to live in. It's by a fjord, lots of nature and never too crowded, there's seldom need to move around to avoid the crowd while walking in the city centre, it's very stress free.

  49. Yes, a Sandie-licious card in every way! Love that bold pop of colour! Favourite city: Bend, Oregon. My husband 'discovered' this fabulous city when he was scouting out US bike races to compete in, which was the Cascade Classic. Our first visit was stellar...and a guarantee that we'd be back again...and again...and again. I LOVE Bend!

As for my favourite city, I'm not sure. I loved the few weekends that I spent in Edinburgh with DH. Loved the manageable size and the friendly people. I think I could live there, but the same goes for Sidney, where I stayed with friends who lived there for 4 years. Such a fabulous and multicultural city with beautiful beaches and nature nearby.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Fabulous first 'Sandie' card for your new AAA DT position!! I love New York City, like London you could never be bored and would love to take the kids there one day!!

  72. I love Hsinchu, Taiwan. Even though it's hot, super humid and has all sorts of bugs and mosquitos, it's my home. I didn't know how much I'll miss it until coming to the U.S. for college. It's been a year since I've gone back, and I really miss the food, how convenient it is and how cheap things are back in Hsinchu. (excluding crafting supplies, stamps and dies etc. are imported and are so expensive in Taiwan!)
