Nonni and Sandie's kit-part 1

Hello,

Recently my dear friend Nonni and I have been swapping crafty kits. Last time Nonni made up the kits for us and you can see the cards I made from this kit here and here

This time I made up the kit with the same goodies for Nonni and myself. I forgot to photo it!

Today we are sharing the first 2 cards we made.

Here is my first card:

Here I used a butterfly from the kit that had been heat embossed in gold. The butterfly is from Happy Little Stampers. I water coloured it in purple and then just splashed a few drops over the card. The die I used here was a pressie from team member at  TIME OUTJill. I have used vellum and glitter fun foam for this. I popped it up on foam and just love the way to seems to float.

I will enter this card into:
Just Us Girls photo challenge-gone with butterfly
And now for my second card:

The Humming Bird (Uniko) was from our kit. It has been heat embossed. I then water coloured in green and used WOS to add sparkle. I then played around with brushos to make this background. I die cut the circle and used the brusho card to back this. The just popped up the bird on foam pads to add a tiny bit of dimension. The sentiment from The Ton was just stamped on some left over brusho card.

I can't wait to see what Nonni has made form this same kit. Take a look here and you will see!

Will be back another day with our next cards from this kit.

It is really a lot of fun to swap these kits with crafty friends. Why not have some fun and do this yourself?

  1. Mmmm I love the soft water color look in your first card, Sandie! This is the thing I don't know how to make with watercolors, I don't know where to stop! :) Your butterfly is very pretty! The sentiment is so fab floating there too. The dramatic look of your second card is wonderful and something new from you I think, a new style! I love the mix of colors and the layout. Wonderful card! I look forward seeing your next card, this swapping business is so much fun! :)

  9. Wow! I really liked seeing both of these cards! Each one is unique and special in its own way. On the butterfly card, I love the delicate splatters and the metallic touches. On the hummingbird card, I adore how you incorporated the brushos! You did a great job on these and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
