Crafty Friends!

Hi All

Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet Cornelia IRL!
We have been crafty buddies for a number of years now and it was an absolute joy to meet her IRL-loved my time with you Cormelia x

We had planned to meet in New York with a group of other crafty buddies but I was too ill to travel so it was wonderful to have a re-do!

Cornelia gave me some lovely crafty goodies. One of which was this New York Skyline Die...she said as I hadn't made it there earlier in the year, she was bringing it to me!

And here is how I put it to use, inspired by some challenges I spotted today:

The layout is from the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch-I will enter this.

It was also inspired by:

AAA Cards-Imagine-I took 'imagine' as me imaging one day I will be in New York-my dream!
The Library Challenge-The Oscars-it was actually the book cover that caught my eye first as I thought it looked like skylines but then also 'The Oscars' reminded me of how much the Statue of Liberty looks like the Oscar award!

  1. So cool, Sandie ... that's your stylish, elegant and dramatic skyline ... and that you and Cornelia got to meet up IRL! What a joy for you both to spend time together! Hugs, Anita :)

  2. I’ve got this die. Never thought of using it in this way. So eyecatching with the striped paper. Modern, cool and classy.

  3. What a fab way to use what I assume is silhouette die! Lovely card. xx

  4. Amazing card and such a wonderful interpretation of the imagine theme. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.

  5. Sandie I love this skyline in the diagonal stripe - but you know you're not linked up at The Library!!!!!! I can see you put the book cover and link but something went astray , so please add your fabulous card to the gallery!

  6. Sandie, you had such a great eye for our Sketch this week! Bravo! xx

  7. What a clever take on *Oscar* ... love your striped skyline with the statue ... so very glad you joined us at The Library.

  8. Such a great take on the theme, imagine! Love the black and white color scheme with a NY skyline. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards challenges.

  9. Congratulations on your win at AAA, Sandie! What a take on the cue.. love your design!

  10. I meant to come by when you posted this to let you know how brilliant this card is, so I am so happy I get to come by now to congratulate you on your win at AAA! Well deserved. xx

  11. This is absolutely fantastic, my friend! Of course the minute I saw it on the AAA post, I knew what was behind it. So very cool that Cornelia gave you the die, and you made a fantastic card with it. I absolutely love it and you. Congrats on your win!
