Challenge #187

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out but before I tell you about that I have some news for you that I am telling you with a very heavy heart.

I have been running Time Out for over 7 years now but as most of you know I struggle with my health. Over the last year my health has deteriorated and I can no longer run Time Out to standard I would like and although I have been trying to, it is my health that has suffered.

So now it is time to take Time Out and step down completely.

I will no longer be running Time Out or be on the DT.

BUT Time Out will continue with a group of the DT taking on various roles, of which they will share with you over the next few weeks.

Before I go I wanted to thank you all for playing with us with so much enthusiasm and I have loved visiting your blogs which have always inspired me.

And a huge thank you to my wonderful DT, both past and present, who have not only made superb cards but also many have helped so much behind the scenes and supported me-thank you guys x

And finally a thank you to all our wonderful Sponsors, your generosity and support have been appreciated so much.

This will be my last challenge but I have already planned the rest of the year so I would love to see you all still play!

And my final card for this challenge is:

And the challenge is:

Our Sponsors are Topflight Stamps and they have many brand in there store and one of my favourite-Visible Images-and I have used their Tomorrow Doesn't Exist stamp set here. I watercoloured onto the actual stamp before stamping to give the image an even more feel of movement than her jumping. And followed this through with adding a few splashes of paint.

I am very excited that our Guest Designer for this challenge is a friend and one amazing crafter Milla. Milla has to be one of the best designers I know at colouring-truly outstanding-pop on over to her blog here and you will see what I mean!

Now pop on back to Time Out and see what Milla and our amazing DT have made.
I will still be visiting your blogs for this challenge and also will be seeing you in blogland as much as I can xx

I will enter this into:

AAA Birthday Challenge-who are celebrating their 2nd Birthday-this card went to my Aunt for her Birthday-she is a painter and I thought she might like an arty card!

  3. Sandie, I can't imagine TO without you. You've been it's mother, nurturing and also spreading love with your generosity and encouragement through comments. I remember the reason, I used to play at TO was to get the lovely comments by DT. You are the one who's influenced us all and esp me, I want to pause and write more lovely things about a card because the way I lit up when I read your comments, I want to give the same happiness. You've taught me to be kinder, be more gentle and more loving. I'll miss you soo much at TO. And thank you for trusting and letting us have your baby, we all will nurture it to the best of our capabilities. Sending you a lot of love and warm hugs.

  8. This is a wonderful card, as always, dear Sandie. And how fitting it is that our cue is MOVE, and you are moving on from your wonderful creation that is Time Out. I did the dumbest thing and messed up the cue, using the one for July 29! Long story. What a dodo bird. But my card for the reminder is dedicated to you, my dear friend. So much to say, but for now, thank you for your creativity, love and support and for inviting me to be a part of this wonderful group of crafters. Every card I make going forward, I make for you. LOVE you.

  9. I have been reading the tributes here Sandie and I hope you are so proud that you've touched the lives of so many of us. Ishani's comment resonates with me - you really do show us all the way to be truly present when commenting. I always loved getting a comment from you as it seemed to really come from the heart. Have courage my lovely friend as you move into a new phase of your life. Hugs, Vicky xx

  10. Congratulations for running the time out challenge for 7 years, that's very impressive and sounds like it is time to pass on the baton as your health has to come first, but I am sure it has been a hard decision and will be a wrench. Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into it to date and enjoy the extra time for looking after yourself. I am hoping that your health improves. Good luck xx

  11. I know your heart is breaking over this decision, Sandie, but your health is more important than anything, so you made the right decision. Once you are feeling stronger, who knows, maybe you will resume the reins of TO or start a whole new challenge. We will stay optimistic! Thank you for all seven years of running such a fun and fabulous challenge! I know it's a lot of work. BTW, I love your take on the brief! Lots of love and healing hugs, Darnell

  13. You know how I feel about you stepping down from Time Out, Sandie, especially so after you built and grew it from scratch to what it is today. What an awesome achievement. You also know how honoured I am to have been on your DT ... and to have shared so many fun, happy challenges with you. No matter what, despite the difficulty of your decision, your health and well-being is the priority ... and I hope and pray that you'll feel the benefit of letting go the reins as time goes on. Sending you love and hugs, my friend, Anita :)

PS: Deliciously artsy card ... your artist aunt must've loved it!
