Spring Colours!

Hello All,

Yesterday I saw Tracey's lovely card at Muse. It was the trio of flowers and the fresh Spring look of the card that inspired me. I had to CASE it and went hunting for a sketch and some colour ideas. I found some and came up with this:

I used the colours at Paper Players and the sketch at Sovushka Slavia.

The flowers are covered in WOS and IRL are all sparkly but I couldn't get the photo to show this.

I haven't made a square card for ages but I am happy how this turned out.

I will also enter this into the one layer stem challenge at Less is More. I do love the funky stems to these flowers.

Here is Tracey's card:

Happy New Year!

A very Happy New Year!

I wish you all a very Happy and healthy New Year.
And lots of crafty time for us all x

I just got down to doing a bit of crafting. A good way to start the New Year.

Here is my card, inspired by a few challenges. It is dark here now so the photo is a little dark but it has been 2 weeks since I posted so wanted to share it with you.

A very CAS card-no surprises there. I wanted this to be very graphic as it has been made for someone who herself makes very graphic cards.
I got the colour scheme from colourQ. This is the closest blue I have to coastal cabana so this is what I went with. I used delicata ink for the gold. I was quite pleased how straight the stripes came out as these I eye balled! I don't have a Misti so have to make do with my eyes.

I got the lay out from Sovushka Slavia.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Celebrate today!

Hello All,

I am sorry for not visiting so many of you this week but I have not been feeling so well. However today I was browsing blogland and saw a few challenges that inspired me to craft-the best way to recover!

First my card using a sentiment from Stamplorations and a sparkle stamp from Visable Images

This card was inspired by Anita's card (see below) at Muse Card Club. I was taken by the turquoise/gold combo and the big black sentiment. I had actually die cut a gold glitter leaf for this but then saw the CAS sketch at Sovushka Slavia (see below) and changed direction!

I will also enter this into the 'Celebration' challenge at Less is More

Love

A very Happy Friday my crafty friends,

The other day I told you about a new challenge site I had come across, Sovushka Slavia and today I have a card for their latest CASE challenge.

I have combined this with the 'sunset' colour challenge at Less is More

The die I have cut from another attempt of painting a sunset freehand-if you look closely at the 'LO' you will see my moon! I sponged on a bit of extra orange to the die as the freehand sunset was a bit too pale to stand out against the ivory.

I got the idea for the layout from the CASE card by Vanessa at Sovushka Slavia. Here is her card:

I went with the bold die and instead of flowers behind the die I used a kiss stamp.

Enjoy your day x
