Here is my card:

Using brushos for the panels. The stitched dies are from STAMPlorations, the sentiment form Verve and the die from PTI. I do love how this card looks, makes me want to smile!

Time Out Challenge #80 Reminder

Hello New and Old friends of Time Out

I am back to remind you that you still have time to join in our current challenge. It is our 'Inspired by Words' challenge and the words are:

'When it rains looks for rainbows, when it's dark look for stars'

This week I have summed up the whole phrase that to me encourages us all to try to look for the positives in life. Plus I through in some stars as well!

You know I love a one layer card! The colours where chosen to project my positive angle-we all need it sometimes!

Easter Blessings

Happy Day to all,

I don't make many Easter cards. I just needed one more and here it is:

I was firstly inspired by the gorgeous photo at Inspired by Little Things-where they are celebrating their 50th Challenge-congrats! I loved the peachy colours of the flowers and the white background curtain and used this as my base idea. I followed the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, using score lines and splashes of paint for the finer details.

I decided to use the 3 pastels challenge at Less is More. This proved harder than I thought as I don't have any pastel watetcolours. However I had fun mixing the stronger colours with my white water paint to give me pastel colours and I like how it turned out.

The flower is from Altnew and the sentiment from Verve

Purple Power!

Hi All

I hope your week is going well.

I have a card inspired today by the photo at The Card Concept. All that gold and purple I had to join in again.

The background is stamped in delicata gold and the die (NBUS from crafty friend Joyce) is popped up on foam pads. The sentiment is from The Ton-another never been used before!

Happy Little Stampers April CAS challenge

Hello There,

Time for our new 'Clean and Simple' challenge at Happy Little Stampers.

If you are not sure what 'Clean and Simple' means in the crafting world-check out the explanation on our blog here.

The challenge this month is:

Blending

Here is my card:

Blending is something I find hard and am not so keen on it but I gave it a go and I am o.k with the result, although not my favourite card!

The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers-Mix Mash set. I did a little stamp surgery so I could just use the 'Birthday'.

I have blended some brushos onto water colour card and attached this behind the window. Then just used a die cut the sentiment over this. I think this is a card that could be used for both men and women.

AAA Cards #87-Shiny Spring

Hi All

Our new challenge at AAA Cards is:

'Shiny Spring'

Remember to keep those cards 'Clean and Simple'

I didn't go with Spring colours but for flowers with a more dramatic look. I used gold embossing and glitter fun foam for my 'Shine'e

I sentiment stamp is from the set Doodled Flowers by Happy Little Stampers-our sponsors for this challenge. The winner will get a $15 discount voucher.

The flower was a gift from Nonni. I coloured the flowers with copics and promakers.

Hi All

First day of Aprils-has anyone been a fool?

I have a card today for the 'text' challenge at CASology. I saw this challenge when it came out and loved the variety of cards the DT had made. The card here from Joyce just kept playing on my mind. I really like how she used the subtle background. A light bulb moment hit me after a few days musing this challenge and I made this:

I used a text embossing folder and die cut from this the 'hello' die from STAMPlorations. I then die cut this same die from black fun foam and placed the white 'text' one on top just slightly off so you get the see the black base to give more definition. I really am quite happy how this turned out. Once the idea was in my head it only took 5 mins to make!
