Joy To The World!

A very happy Sunday to All,

Doesn't inspiration hit you at the weirdest times?
I had seen a few challenges this morning and during breakfast an idea hit me! So off I went and made the card and then came back to finish breakfast!

Here it is:

It was the 'Kraft and Red' challenge at Merry Monday that got me thinking. I just stamped this fab 'Joy' sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays, added a few pearls, rounded off the edge of the kraft and done!

Have a good day x

A Saturday Make!

Hi All

I have been having a little play this morning in my craft room.

I had the idea for this card a few weeks ago when I saw the photo at Calling All Sistahs. The gorgeous soft pink flower caught my idea and finally today I made this:

I hadn't intended to watercolour and emboss but once I started creating this is the way I went. I first silver embossed the flower stamp and watercoloured it. I decided to die cut just one flower and pop this up for dimension. I also water coloured this. Added a few splashes to the background then popped up the sentiment for more dimension.

This was very relaxing to make and I do love how it turned out.

I have used all CAS-ual Friday products and will enter it into their Calling All Sistahs Encouragement challenge-to make cards to lift and encourage those that need it-don't we all from time to time!

Time Out Challenges #96

Hi All,

It is time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges and it is:

CASE with your own twist challenge.

CASE means 'copy and share everything'. Basically you look at our CASE card and see what inspires you to create and then just add your own little twist.

We are so excited that this time we have the absolute delight of CASEing Michele. Many of you will know Michele from blogland but just in case you don't...take a look at her blog I Card Everyone. It is full of inspiring cards. Michele is a regular player at Time Out and we are honoured she is our CASE designer for this challenge. Thank you Michele, you are a star x

Here is my CASE of Michele's card:

And here is Michele's card

What a gorgeous card!

I was inspired by the Spring colours, the design and the 'Thanks' sentiment.

I have used the sentiment from our fabulous sponsor Happy Little Stampers-from the set Doodled Flowers.
I heat embossed the floral background stamp from CAS-ual Fridays then water coloured it with a mix of yellow and green from the colours in Michele's card. I added the curved edge die to mimic the design in Michele's card and then just added the sentiment.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Bobby. Bobby's blog Bits and Pieces is full of creative and inspiring cards. Not only do I find her cards inspiring but Bobby has supported Time Out for long time. I urge you to check out here blog here

I Design Team have all made some amazing CASE cards-take a look here and then take some TIME OUT and get crafty x

Fireworks!

Hi All

Just popping in with a card I made yesterday for a couple of challenges.
No chatting today as crafting buddy Kylie from Australia will be here any minute...super excited!

I picked out some of the colours of the fireworks we saw at the weekend. And over here we play with 'sparklers' so I thought the sentiment was perfect!

Inkspirational #147

Hello All,

We have a fun new challenge starting at Inkspirational today and it is our word prompt. The word is:

Trend

Here is what I created:

I thought about this for a long time and came up with the idea of the way you work out trends is through statistics and therefore numbers. And that was the way I went with this card.

I just used a list of numbers in light great and stamped over this with this fab sentiment from Visible Images

Linda is our fabulous Guest Designer for this challenge. Her blog is full of creativity-we urge you to take a look here. Welcome Linda, we are so pleased you have joined us.

Our DT have all made some fab cards to inspire you-check them out here and then get inky!

Enjoy x

Happy Little Stamps CAS November Challenge

Hi All

We have a new challenge starting today at Happy Little Stamper 'Clean and Simple'

It's a good one for this time of year as we are asking for 'clean and simple' Christmas projects.

Here is mine:

I wanted to make a CAS shaker card and I think I managed it!
I used the negative die cut to make the shaker section and then used the positive section to hang just above it.
I decided to emboss the top bauble to give it some texture.
The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers but it is a retired set. Here I stamped it in delicata silver ink.

We are looking forward to seeing what you create and if you need more inspiration, pop over to our blog here and see the amazing cards our DT have made.

The winner of this challenge will get a $20 voucher to use in the store.

Enjoy!

Just one Snowflake!

Hi there crafty friends,

Yesterday when admiring my dear cousin Lynn latest gorgeous card, she mentioned she had finished her Christmas cards! Goodness, I thought, I have loads to make and need to get moving-thanks for the push Lynn.

Luckily I had just got CAS-ual Fridays new Joy set and wanted to play with it. I got this set as I love the big sentiments and thought they would be great to make duplicate sets.

This is what I created:

I saw the Merry Monday photo on Lynn's blog and used this as my main inspiration using the rustic feel of the photo and the colours.

I used enamel dots rather than the extra snowflakes I was going to use as the 'use one snowflake' challenge at City Crafter caught my eye. I think this is quite a unique idea for a challenge. The longest part of this card was deciding where to put these enamel dots. I played around for ages until I found a position for them that pleased my eye!

I only made one more of these using traditional Christmas green instead of red but I like this design and am going to make a few more using non traditional colours (I hope!!)

Have a good day x
