Calling All Sistahs February Reminder

Hello There,

I am here today as part of the Calling All Sistahs design team, to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer and the importance of doing that monthly self breast exam. It takes 5 mins-check out how to do that here.

Michele, owner and designer of CAS-ual Friday Stamps designed a special line of stamps and dies to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer-you can check them out here. Michele donates 50% of the profit from these to National Breast Cancer Awareness.

For my reminder card I have used some of these stamps:

Here I have used the CAS-ual Friday sentiment from the set Supercalifragilistic and the background set Full on Floral.
I heat embossed the floral background in vanilla and then used pink watercolour paint to give this ombre look.
I heat embossed this super sentiment in pink on to black card, popped it up on foam pads and then just added a pink strip of the card for a little extra touch.
I like the pretty but dramatic look of this card.

All our Design Team have made amazing cards-check them out here.

We would love you to go shopping from this range to help us raise awareness of Breast Cancer and if you do and use the code 'cas comfort' you get a discount!

Come back tomorrow as I will be here with our monthly 'Calling All Sistahs' challenge!!

Have a super day and don't forget to put 5 mins aside to do that self exam!

Have a fun day x

Time Out Challenge #103

Hello There Crafty friends,

We have a new 'Theme' challenge starting today at Time Out.

We also have an optional twist of making a 'one layer' card. If you do go with this twist you have the change of winning $20 to spend in our Sponsor, CAS-ual Fridays store.

Our theme is 'Hobbies' and I went with the hobby we love all....crafting!

I used our sponsor, CAS-ual Fridays products' Truth Is' stamp set and Truth-Bloom Fri dies. I firstly stamped the flowers and then heat embossed one in pink powder and die cut it, popping it up on foam pads. I then heat embossed the sentiment from The Ton Stamps.

Our Guest Designer this week is the very creative Ashwini. I have been a fan of Ashwini for a long time now and her blog is full of inspiring projects-take a look here. Then come back and get crafty with us!
Don't forget to pop on over to Time Out and see what amazing projects our team and Ashwini have made....what hobbies do you think they have???

CAS butterfly

Hi All

Popping in with a CAS butterfly card Inspired by a few challenges.

I used a new die from Poppy Stamps. This die is perfect for this time of year as it is embossed with little hearts-check it out here. It really is adorable. You might need to zoom into to see the intricate detail of the hearts.

I went super CAS and made this:

I do love cream and white together and as you know I love my score lines!

I used the sketch at Inspire. Create. Challenge for my layout-the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
I added Wink of Stella to the die to show up the hearts a little more.
I was going to add bright enamel dots for pops of colour but when I tried out these pale pinks they just seemed to look right to me, so I went with these.

Have a good weekend.

Inkspirational #154

Hi All

It is our Designer's Choice challenge starting today.

Our super talented teamie Kylie has chosen:

'Aperture Cards'

This basically means a card with some kind of window/hole in it, or more than one.

I went with an oval window.

I just cut the oval and added some card behind it that I had previously water coloured.
The floral die has been carefully placed over the aperture. I am not sure where this die is from as it was a pressie from Kylie.
The sentiment is from Kylie's Happy Little Stampers Store

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Jen-check out her stunning blog here

Then pop over to Inkspirational and see what the DT have made-all inspiring!

Enjoy x

Time Out Reminder #102

Hi All

There is still time to join us in our photo challenge at Time Out.

Here is the card I made:

And the photo which I think it is easy to see there are so many elements in this photo that inspired me:

The sentiment on my card is our sponsors STAMPlorations.
The heart dies are from CAS-ual Fridays-the Heart Board Fri Dies-I love this set! Cut from glitter gold card with the big heart popped up on foam pads for dimension.
The black stripes are from Winnie and Walter-scenery stripes-I just stamped these. My Misiti isn't big enough for this, so I just eyeballed it!
And I added texture using my linen embossing plate.

Our inspiring Guest Designer Trina is joining us again this week.

Check out what Trina and our amazing DT have created here-you have until Wed 14th Feb 5pm GMT to join in the fun!

Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts!

Hi There,

I was very excited when I saw the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays was 'Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts'. This is becuase I had just got their Heart Board Fri-Dies and really wanted to have a play!

This is what I made:

It was inspired by the sketch and photo at Fusion. I cut the dies from some watercolour card I had made a while ago. I wanted to use all the colours from the photo in Fusion but I didn't have any red or blue in the mix. So I just got out my brush and added a few bits here and there!

The sentiment is also from CAS-ual Fridays-the Mon Ami set.

Lots of Love and Heart challenges around at the moment....is their a special day just around the corner??

Time Out Challenges #102

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges.

It is our photo challenge.

My card:

Inspired by the colours, the hearts and the gold glitter in this stunning photo:

Both the panel and heart die are from our fabulous sponsor STAMPlorations Bracket Label dies and Clustered Heart Dies. I die cut it first in gold glitter card and then in silver fun foam. I just used the little hearts of the fun foam carefully filling up these areas in the gold glitter. The sentiment is one I have had for a whIle but use a lot-Uniko

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Trina. Trina is an amazing crafter and I am so pleased she has joined us for this challenge. Her blog is full of inspiring projects-check them out here

I really loved creating using this photo as inspiration and I hope you do too!

Our DT have all made such stunning cards-check them out here.

Then take some Time Out and craft with us!

I will enter this into:
Freshly Made Sketches-flipping the sketch
Uniko-Challenge-something old (sentiment), something new (dies) and I went with the twist of love.
