Spring always comes!

Hi All

Hope you all had a fun weekend.

Popping in quickly with a card inspired by a couple of challenges:

This came together very quickly in my mind when I saw the one layer challenge 'leaf' challenge at Less is More. I was inspired to use this leaf stamp (from Papertrey) and design when I thought of the  sketch at CAS(E) THIS Sketch. It is a CAS take on the sketch but the falling leaves seemed to mimic the panel under the sentiment in the sketch.

A sentiment from Verve fitted this card perfectly and just a quick run through my linen embossing plate and done!

Have a good week x

Inkspirational #130

Hi All

Our New challenge at Inkspirational this week was chosen by the very creative and super fun Kim. The challenge is:

Watercolour Smooshing

Kim provided us with this tutorial to help us with this technique. I am not good at this kind of technique and it is only the second time I have tried it (the first time is for a DT card coming out in June!). I did follow the tutorial but used watercolour paints instead of distess inks. I also heat embossed the sentiment first in copper. I am not so happy with the look-a little too messy for me but when a teamie challenges me.....I have to give it a go!

I made this card for my Brother who was starting out on a new Business venture. I am very proud of him and he always strives to achieve what he wants in life even if it may seem impossible at the time.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Henriette. I have recently started following her and her blog is full of inspiring projects-check it out here

Our DT are far better at this technique than me, so if you want to see how it is really done, pop over to Inkspirational.

Enjoy x

Time Our 3rd Birthday Reminder

Have you joined in our 3rd Birthday Challenge at Time Out yet?

If not, it is time to get those dancing shoes on and sit at your crafting desk and play along-lots of prizes up for grabs. Check the details here

The Theme is:

Love and/or Friendship with the optional technique twist of spotlight stamping.

First off I must apologise for not being around in blogland and getting to comment on all your wonderful cards. My health is not being too friendly! But please know I am viewing all your cards. I am visiting Instagram as much as I can as I find it easier and quicker to keep up there when I don't feel so good.
Luckily many of my DT posts are done and you know me, I have a few hiccups with my health then I am back stalking you all again!!

I actually went for the twist inspired by our super Guest Designer, Ardyth's card last week-check it our here. I stamped the mix of flowers and fussy cut one out and coloured it, popping it up for dimension.

In this card I wanted to try to use all the sponsors that I have stamps for and I did it!

The stamps I have used here are:

I can't believe I actually got all these sponsors in one card and did some spotlight stamping and colouring too. Plus I really love the card.

Ardyth ,our amazing Guest Designer and the DT have made amazing cards to inspire you to party with us and celebrate our 3rd Birthday.

Get those crafty goodies out and party!

I will enter this into:

AAA Cards #85

Hi All

We have a new challenge at AAA Cards.

Did you see the Oscars? We have a very timely and fun challenge for you:

We'd like to see a card inspired by the fashions on the Oscar red carpet.
This could be male or female and from any year

I had so much fun looking through the Oscar dresses over many years and this is the card I made inspired by the dress below:

I had to make it a star focused card as if you are on the red carpet-a star you are!

I love the colours in this dress but the gold confetti design on the bottom half of the dress reminded me of my star stamp from The Ton Stamps. So I used Delicata gold ink to stamp the star off the edge and then just heat embossed the 'star' in pink and popped this up. I felt the card needed a little more balance so added a sentiment from Happy Little Stampers at the top

Here is the dress I have hanging in my wardrobe!!

Oscar De La Renta dress worn at Oscars 2016

Beautiful, beautiful dresses and gowns from Oscar de la Renta resort 2016:

This challenge is sponsored by Happy Little Stampers-the winner will get a $15 gift voucher to use in their store. My 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is their store.

Our DT have all chosen stunning outfits to draw inspiration from-check them out here and then why not pick out an outfit and join us

Happy Little Stampers March CAS challenge

Hi There

We have a new 'Clean and Simple' challenge at Happy Little Stampers. This month we are asking for:

Anything Goes with Dies

Here is my card:

The sentiment is from the Happy Little Stampers 'Doodled Flowers' stamp set. The vellum I used to die cut the butterfly was first stamped and heat embossed in gold with the splatter stamp from the Mixed Media Fum stamp set.
I got this idea when I saw a card by Shona on pinterest-thanks for the inspiration Shona.

Our DT have all made amazing cards to inspire you-check them out here.

The winner will get a $15 discount to use in our store.

Have fun x

I will enter this into:

Double D Spring Challenge-I went with the colours and spring butterflies.

Nonni and Sandie's kit club part 2!

Hi All,

Today I am sharing the second 2 cards I made from the craft kit Nonni sent me. If you missed the first 2 and how our little kit club started click here for all the details.

Here is my first card using this wonderfully stamped flower:

I love how this turned out and will enter it into:

Less is More sketch challenge (see sketch at bottom of post)
Double D Challenge-Spring-see amazing board mood below

Next up I have used these gorgeous purple flowers. I loved these flowers from the kit and just arranged them around a heat embossed sentiment  from Happy Little Stampers

I will add this to the Anything Goes Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More

I actually made another card from this pack but am going to use it for a DT card later in the year.

This kit was amazing fun to play with and I would urge any of you who want to have a crafty play with a frined to start their own kit club-hours of joy to be had and all with goodies you don't have in your kit.

Thanks Nonni for this kit and I am now getting mine ready for you xx
