Inkspirational #23

I am here today with my 'End of the week encouragement' post for Inkspirational. You still have until Tuesday 6pm (GMT) to play along.
This week we are really getting into the Summer spirit with this colour combo for you:

I love these cheery colours and wanted to make a card all full of oranges and lemons but then I went a completely different way when I had a play around with a stamp my cousin Lynn sent me. This is quite a different card for me but some how still looks CAS!!

I stamped the outline in black then the bolder stamp in orange and coloured in the rest of the petals in yellow. I then found a thick ribbon in my stash that I thought really matched the flower colours. I tied this super sized bow (I am not letting you know how long it took me to get it right!!) and added this. Mounted all this on melon card stock and added a melon gem.
Our DT have some great creations made using these colours so take a peek here and don't forget this month the prize is 3 digi's from Milk N Coffee Digital Stamps!
I will also enter this into the 'bingo' challenge at Addicted to Stamps and the 'ribbons and lace' challenge at Rhedd and Rosie's Challenge.

Happy Stamping x

  2. That is one fabulous looking bow, Sandie! I don't know how you make your bows, but I have a smart little tool to help me with the process... The colors of the ribbon are just perfect for this week's Inkspirational challenge. And also I like how you used a smaller flower stamp to make the pattern of the flower. Great card!

  3. On I love this Sandie. The ribbon and stamping are both amazing. The curved sentiment looks fabulous. I must remember to do this more often!

  4. Very pretty Sandie! I like how you stamped the flower one color and colored in the rest. Creative technique! And I always love a great big bow!

  9. A lovely card, unfortunately our theme clearly states its Ribbon and Lace, as your card doesn't have lace on it, it doesn't really qualify, we do offer a prize to our winners so it wouldn't be fair to give it to someone that hasn't fully followed our theme! If however you wish to use this card and add some lace you could re-enter! Thank you for entering, would love to see more of your work in future xx Zoe DT Rhedd and Rosie's challenge xx
