Time Out Guest Designer!

 Hi All

I have the honour of being the Guest Designer of my previous challenge Time Out.

And I am super excited to be joining the amazing team because this is a special challenge sponsored by our very own Kim. Kim is not only a card maker but so very creative in so many ways. And one of these is her amazing skill of sewing and she has her own Etsy store RunningStitchDesign-pop on over there and you will see a delight of goodies-I have quite a few!!

And today, Kim and her store are our super sponsors!!

We have a photo of one of her gorgeous bags she made as our inspiration and here it is:

How wonderful is this-and this bag could be your's if you win!

You can be inspired by anything in the photo-the bag, the colours, the stitching (like me!), the mug, pencil, 'imagine'....anything!

So I went with a 'Kim' focused card-taking in all she loves in making her bags, the colours-the photo is quite dark but I wanted you to see the stitched white card as I thought this went with the theme!

This really was out of my comfort zone-using tiny images, fussy cutting and colouring but I quite liked the end result. And actually all these images and the stitched background are from team member Joyce who sent me them a while ago to help me with this challenge-thank you Joyce!

The other very Guest Designer for this challenge is Nathalie and you can find her on Instagram here. Nathalie is so very creative and you can find out more about her over on Time Out. I recommend visiting her Instagram account as you will love what you see!

Now pop on over to Time Out and see what the super Design Team have made to inspire you and then take some Time Out and play along!!

  1. How wonderful to see you pop up on TO again Sandie!! Once again you've created the perfect CAS card with this fun sentiment!! Love it!! Take care! :) x

  2. It is so nice to see you back with Time Out, even for just this one challenge. Your card is so adorable, and perfectly captures Kim's spirit! I had completely forgotten about those bits I sent you, so it was also fun to see how you combined them into a perfectly designed CAS creation. Love the stitching on the card. So fitting, with the sewing theme.

  3. As you already know I think your card is great!! All the elements work so well for this challenge and I love the layout with items in opposite corners of the card. Fab work! Thank you for being GD at Time Out! xxx

  4. Sew in love with your sweet card Sandie...simply fabulous, just like you!!!

  5. I think this "out of your comfort zone" card is a great success, Sandie. I like how you arranged everything to fit your CAS style as well the theme/photo.

  6. What a perfect card for this challenge! I love your little ball of twine and the cute sentiment!

  7. Sweet card, Sandie, I love the yarn and spool as I can surely imagine that the bag is stuffed to the brim with other such treasures.

  8. I love this card you made for TO. I could swear I told you how much I love it. Maybe that was IG... It is so wonderful. Sewing was my Craft de jour before stamping...
