#403 CASology-Botantical

 Hi All,

Time for a new challenge at CASology and this time our cue word is:

'Botanical'

Here is my take:

I looked up 'Botanical' and it is defined as a plant or an extract from a plant...well my mind went straight to GIN!!
Juniper is signature botanical used to flavour Gin! And as my Family are lovers of Gin, this card could be used for any of them!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Elisabeth. Her blog is a joy to visit so pop on by and take a look at her wonderful makes!

Then pop back to CASology and have a look at how all out DT have interpreted this cue word and then play along!
Enjoy!

I love to Stamp!

 Hi All

I needed a card for my neighbour who is celebrating his Birthday next weekend. He is from Brazil and says he is always so happy to get a card from me as it is the only one he gets....so no pressure there!

A few challenges helped me out today to make a 'masculine' card....as I was struggling with blogland filled with s many gorgeous flower cards!

I used the sketch at CAS Colour and Sketches
The grunge splash idea and colours came from the mood board at AAA Cards-the top right hand picture. AAA are celebrating their 8th Birthday! Congrats and thank you for inspiring us for so long!

Enjoy the rest of your day x

Let The Drinking Begin!!

 Hi Crafty Friends,

A fun card to share with you today.

It looks like it took a few minutes to make but it actually took me 2 days to sort how I wanted to lay out the stamps, get the colours right and then make-CAS yes, but this one, not so quick!

I just love this stamp set from Visible Image

I got the design from the sketch-which I loved as soon as I saw it-at CAS Colour and Sketches
Colours inspired by Cupcake Inspirations
And as this is for a very special 21st Birthday, it is off to Addicted to Stamps and More-Birthdays.

Have a fun day x

Spring!

Hi There,

Hope you are all well.

Yesterday I had a play with making some stencil backgrounds using ink blending, something I rarely do!

As there are lots of Spring Challenges around and I need lots of Birthday cards I went with floral stencils.

Here is one of the backgrounds I used to make card:

I sponged the floral background with distress inks then added all the rest are bits and bobs from my stash-that centre is a cut off from an old water colour background.
To finish off I added some sparkle to the butterfly and a simply enamel dot!

A very different card for me but fun to break out of the comfort zone!!

Enjoy!

I will enter into:

Time Out-Spring-(yes girls...I did make this and do the blending-wonders never cease!!)

Seize The Birthday-option Signs of Spring

Tic-Tac-Toe-I went for the right vertical line-ink blending, embellishment and stencil

Enjoy The Little Things!

 Hi All

I am sharing a card I made the other day when I felt a bit crafty.

I really like the clean and fresh look of this card and made it especially for the challenge at AAA Cards-option not taken....although this could be debatable with all the green space we have in England and yes even in London!

Stamps all from Funky Fossil Designs

Have a good day x

A Card!!

 Hi All

Been a while since I actually did some crafting, life has been a little tough at the moment but today I did sit myself down and had a go at making a few cards.

I haven't been visiting much or been on IG as much as normal but hopefully will be back in bits here and there when I can.

Here is one:

I used all Funky Fossil Designs stamps for this card.

The idea for this came from the current challenge at Less is More-Occupations. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and just went through my stamps and came across this set and thought of bee keeping (fancy name for this-Apiarist!). In London-where I live-more and more people are keeping bees to make their own honey to sell...and yummy it is!

I used the design for this from the current challenge at AAA Cards-along the edge-I would say for the reason I give above about our increasing bee keepers in this country, I did go with the option.

Hope you are all well and take care my friends x
