Time Out #47

Are you ready to take some TIME OUT and take part in our first challenge of the year at Time Out Challenges?

This year we are going to follow the same format as last year with one exception:

All our Theme Challenges will have an optional Technique Twist.

We know you are not all fans of techniques and because of this that is why it is optional. However if you do wish to twist with us we will have a randomly chosen prize for a twister!

Now for our first Theme challenge:

Birthdays with the optional Technique Twist of adding sponging.

If you do want to twist with us by adding sponging (just a little or lots-we don't mind) you have the chance of winning a £15 evoucher from our fabulous sponsor Uniko. We know so many of you love Uniko goodies. Take a look at their store here.

I find sponging really hard to do but gave it a go and came up with this:

The flower and large sentiment stamps are from Uniko. And I got the idea when I saw this card by Sarah. I have always admired her skill at sponging. She is an expert. I had to add the flowers to cover up where my sponging really is awful! But thanks for the inspiration Sarah!

Our Guest Designer this week is the very talented and creative Rema. She is a regular player at TIME OUT and her cards are always a joy to see in our gallery. Take a look at her blog Paper Panache and you will see what I mean!

Our super DT have all had created inspiring projects for you-take a here.

Now kick back, take some TIME OUT and get crafty.

I will enter this into the new challenge:

The Card Concept #46

Welcome back to the The Card Concept 2016!

We have some fun challenges lined up for you this year and we are kicking off with this warming photo:

Lots to inspire you here.

I am on the 'Clean and Simple' design team and was inspired by that yummy looking hot chocolate, the colours and the love theme. This is what I created:

This card actually went to my hubby as he is the chocolate lover in our family. I made him this and gave it to him along with his fav bar of chocolate.

I embossed the 'chocolate' sentiment-it is from a larger sentiment so I had some tricky masking to do. The kiss and 'swak' were added later. My hubby is a CAS lover so he thought this card was perfect-good job too!

Remember with this challenge you can design your card in any style you want or even combine styles. Take a look here to see all these styles defined.

Our fabulous DT have all created wonderful cards to inspire you-have a look here and the join in the fun!

I will enter this into:

CASology-simple-the simple pleasures in life-kisses, chocolate and lots of white space!

Please don't leave me!

Hi All,

It appears that from the 11th January that you will not be able to follow my blog unless you have a goggle account. This is due to some changes at google. The official announcement you can read here.

The most important section of this is:

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

I really don't want to lose any of you and therefore please do open up a google account and re-follow me. Your comments and encouragement mean a lot to me and I would miss you.

Have a good day x

You are Amazing

Hello All

My card today is for a very special person who has to go into hospital soon. I wanted to make a card to remind them how amazing they are. I wanted to hopefully make them smile so have made it with sunny colours and WOS to add some sparkle.

I based this on the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch

I will also enter this into:

AAA cards-glitter-my flower is all glittery IRL as it is covered in WOS

Have a good day x

Less is More

Hello All,

Just popping in with a card for Less is More 'neutrals' challenge. It was Anita's tulip card here that inspired me to create this:

I found this old flower stamp and used 'London Fog' to stamp it off the edge. I then did some selective colouring using a beige promaker pen.

Thanks Anita for the inspiration.
 Have a fun Sunday xx

Inkspirational #99

Ready to start the New Year with some challenges?

It is time for our very first challenge of 2016 at Inkspirational. To kick off the New Year we have our Designer's choice challenge. This time the very talented Kim has chosen

'Thank you cards using something new'

Here is what I made:

I haven't actually used new goodies I got for Christmas. They are actually stamps I have had for a while that have not been inked up before. I used a design I have before when I made a poppy card for our 'orange' challenge last year. But this time used this flower stamp from the same set. I used copics to colour the flowers.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Maaike. She is so very talented. Take a browse around her blog here and you will love what you see.

Our DT have all been playing with new goodies and we are sure you are all itching to have a play. So get crafting and join in the fun!

I will enter this into:

Just Us Girls-Thank you.
Paru's Card Making Challenge-a new challenge that has just opened. This week the word is 'new'

Happy New Year!

A very Happy New Year!

I wish you all a very Happy and healthy New Year.
And lots of crafty time for us all x

I just got down to doing a bit of crafting. A good way to start the New Year.

Here is my card, inspired by a few challenges. It is dark here now so the photo is a little dark but it has been 2 weeks since I posted so wanted to share it with you.

A very CAS card-no surprises there. I wanted this to be very graphic as it has been made for someone who herself makes very graphic cards.
I got the colour scheme from colourQ. This is the closest blue I have to coastal cabana so this is what I went with. I used delicata ink for the gold. I was quite pleased how straight the stripes came out as these I eye balled! I don't have a Misti so have to make do with my eyes.

I got the lay out from Sovushka Slavia.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
