Hi All,
For my Birthday my very dear friend Nonni gave me a new impression plate that I had admired her using many times. I love the texture it gives. I wanted to use it in making a cream on cream card and the other day had a hunt around blog land for some inspiration.
Didn't take long for me to find some.
Here is my card:
Isn't that texture amazing. To me it could be the material ruffles on a dress or perhaps cream or ice cream on a cake...what do you see?
I based the lay out of my card on the sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch.
I then saw Rahmat's card on Happy Little Stampers blog where we are asked to CASE the Designer. I liked the embossing on vellum of the flowers and leaves but decided for my flower to use coloured vellum. For the leaves I used clear vellum and then copics to colour. I actually used platinum embossing powder. I made my card more CAS than Rahmat's but wanted to give a nod to her grey circles so used one in the centre of my flower and then some pink ones to add a few more-it was fun Rahmat to CASE your fab card, thanks for the inspiration.
All the stamps and sentiment I have used here come from the Doodled Flower set at Happy Little Stampers
I will also add this to:
Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge-texture-a CAS mixed media but has all the elements needed for mixed media and I am excited I got to enter a mixed media challenge for a change!
I'm not surprised you've swooned over this texture plate Sandie, it really is beautiful and as you say so many possibilities. I thought it could be used for an external scene too as render on a little cottage. Great to see you creating and what a bumper set of challenges too. Well done on being so creative. Hugs x
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous case Sandie. I love the texture, to me it looks like the icing on the cake, when you start off in the beginning, before smoothing it out ;)
