Hi All

Popping in with a 'stamp and go', one layer card for you...well for hubby on his next visit away for work. Gosh I am prepared this time-card 2 done already!

I love the stamp Naptimes from Newton's Nook and I have used it already where I coloured each cushion and the cat.....yet to be seen as a future DT card. But this time I had this idea just to keep it plain and add the sentiment across it, using the hearts as I would normally my enamel dots.

My extra design touches were just the rounded edge and 3 little score lines at the top-can't see these too well in the photo but IRL they do add a nice touch. kind of card-one layer, stamp and go and now time for chores!

The Calming feeling of Love coming Home!

Hi All

I had fun making this card-after having no mojo for a while, I suddenly make 2 cards in 2 days!

Getting my cards ready to give to hubby for his next working trip away-this time Hong Kong!

I don't like him being away and there is nothing more calming to me than when he walks through to the door and is home again!

I met Cornelia in London a few weeks ago and she gave me this set of stamps from Unity
I knew exactly what I would use it for!

I was going to go Black for the map but the colours at Less is More this week inspired me to be a bit more adventurous-2 colours I would not have thought of using myself. The sentiment I just popped up.

And I do love that Winnie and Walter frame.

Have a super day x

How to stay Calm!

Hi All

Quickly popping in with a card for the 'Calm' challenge at CASology

What better way is there to keep calm than shop for shoes!

Shona is GD there this week and when I saw her card here it reminded me of a stamp set I had from The Ton. Thanks for inspiring me Shona x

So off to stamping I went!

I didn't want to use the same sentiment that Shona some stamp surgery sorted this out!

Oh....just go and buy some will feel 'calmer'!!

I miss you!

Hi All

My hubby goes away tomorrow to India for work. Last time he met my blogging friend Ishani-you can see a picture of them meeting here on Instagram!

I wanted to make him a few cards to open sometime while he his away.
When he went away another before I made him a few and asked him which one he liked best and it was one where I had used these unicorn images from Funky Fossil Designs-so they had to be used again!  Funky Fossil Designs have a set of new stamps out tomorrow-so don't forget to pop on over there!

And here is my card-totally inspired by the photo at Fusion

I adore this image!
Hope he like likes it too-I sure will miss him
Enjoy the rest of the day and the weekend ahead x

Fusion-Rainbow birds-yes mine aren't birds but how similar is this image to the one in the photo and the colours are all based on the ones in the photo-used the blue as the background as thought that might be better than pink for him!
Day of the Month-Rhino Day-yes no Rhino but we are allowed to use chubby unicorns!

Time Out #136

Hello Crafty Friends,

Time for a new challenge at Time Out and today it is our 'Home Sweet Home' photo challenge.

And here is the card I made:

And here is the photo that inspired this card:

It was the background wall that I noticed straight away-it looked like an embossed folder to me! So I used an embossed piece of card that my crafty friend and team mate Joyce had sent me-thanks Joyce!
I then thought of the bright yellow flowers on the table and used the Boxed Blooms and Bold sentiment stamp set from our fabulous sponsor STAMPlorations.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is  the very talented Greta. Her cards are a delight and her blog full of inspiration-take a look here. We are so pleased Greta is joining us for this challenge-welcome Greta x

Inkspirational #187

Hi All

A new challenge starts at Inkspirational today and Marlena has chosen:

'Gold Dipped'

I had fun making this card. I used the same stamp 'celebrate artsy' from STAMPlorations and stamped in onto the card with 3 different colour inks from Catherine Pooler. Then I used delicata gold ink of some card just stamping if different areas so when I cut the die from Winnie and Walter it would look like just the edges had been dipped in gold! Added the die onto fun foam for dimension.

Now lets see what the team have for us for here

I will enter this into:

AAA Cards-use one 3rd and optional bright colours-I went with the twist.
CASology-Color-not much else here except white spaces and splashes of colour!

Have a Beautiful Day

Hi All

A card for you today inspired by a few challenges:

White embossed the flower on vellum and die cut it. Die cut just one of the leaves.
Arranged it all on eggshell embossed card (although hard to see in the photo-raining here!) and stitched dies.
The sentiment is from the same set.

Entering into:

Altenew May Inspiration-got the idea for wrapping the leaves around the panel from this photo plus using the embossed background
Just Add Ink-well these flowers in this photo are where the initial idea came from!
CAS on Friday-white on white
CASology-Mother-think this makes for a lovely Mothers Day card.

Enjoy your day x

Hi All

Popping in with a card for a few challenges.

It is not Mother's Day in Britain this week (our's was in March!), but isn't this sentiment true all year round??
I know it is for my Mum-she is the one that holds us all together and I am thankful everyday for her.

Card was initially inspired by CASology-Mothers.

I knew I wanted to use this sentiment and stamp but needed some colours. After a hunt I found a combo I liked at CAS Colour and Sketches-I hunted high and low for a darker green button but this was all I could find but I do like the pretty flower pattern on it, which I thought suited the card!

The flower image is from Visible Image and the sentiment is from Verve which unfortunately  is now closed.

Enjoy the day x
