Guest Designer at Less is More

Hello Again

I am super excited to be Guest Designing today for Less is More where they are asking us to use:

'Dimension'

I have used the the same design as the card I made earlier today for our challenge at Inkspirational but this time showed you how I added dimension but still kept the design 'Clean and Simple'

This time I changed from a one layer by mounting the card with foam pads onto a black base and then changing the sentiment so I could add dimension-I heat embossed it onto black card and then again popped it up on foam pads.

A really easy way to add dimension to a 'Clean and Simple' design that you have already created. I hope this gives you some ideas.

Check out what the talented DT have made at Less is More here

A huge thank you to the DT at Less is More for asking me to Guest Design with them. What a way for me to end this year!

Have a wonderful day and I will see you in 2017 for a year full of crafty fun xx

Time Out Challenge #73

Welcome to our last challenge this year at Time Out Challenges

The challenge is our 'Inspired by Words Challenge' and the words are:

'With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning'

You can use any of these words or go with the entire phrase.

I went with celebrating the new beginnings and made this:

I like the combo of grey and purple. I like the way it allows for a soft background. I have used a mix of sentiments from our fabulous sponsors for this challenge STAMPlorations.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Marina. Marina is a superb designer-check out her blog here and enjoy her creativity.

All our DT have made wonderful cards and you can see them here.

Enjoy crafting x

Muse and many more!

Hi All

This week's Muse card by Jenni inspired me immediately. I loved how she incorporated the city scape into the numbers. I wanted to give this a go but make it one layer.

My city scape and number stamps are from Happy Little Stampers and the fireworks is that very much used snowflake stamp from Visable Images. I got the idea to add the fireworks when I saw Ardyth's card here-I loved these stitched dies and it immediately gave me an idea of how to finish this card.

The colours were chosen from Cupcake Inspirations Challenge-I used the gold star bursts and cream icing as my inspiration but instead of poppy went with lilac.

I will also enter this into:

CASology-Toast-toasting in the New Year

Enjoy the rest of your day x

AAA Cards #80

Hi All

We have a new challenge for you at AAA Cards and this is:

SILVER

We would like to see Clean and Simple cards with silver.

Here is what I made:

I stamped this sentiment from The Ton with delicata silver ink and mounted it on a stitched panel using a black base for definition. I just love this sentiment and how true it is!

Added a few splatters (glitter!!) again using delicta ink to finish this card.

Our sponsors for this challenge are Stampendous. The winner will get a $20 gift voucher to spend in their store.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Deborah-check out here bloh here.

The challenge this week is for 3 weeks so plenty of time to play along!

I am looking forward to seeing your 'clean and simple' silver inspired cards.

Inkspirational #124

Hi All
It is our colour challenge at Inkspirational. And this time we want to see:

Neutrals Only

Here is my card:

I actually made this card at the same time I made very colourful card in September. This time only using neutrals. I changed the layout and added interest using glitter and textured cards and just a few pearls. IRL the glitter 'joy' really looks great against the cream eggshell embossed card. The white linen base again complimenting the whole card. I have always loved using cream and white together but never thought of throwing in a touch of kraft but I like it.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Raquel. Check out her blog here and you will see many creative and inspiring projects.

Pop over to the main blog here and see what fabulous cards our DT have made to inspire you:

Hot Pink Bow

Hi All

Last night I got some crafty time in and this is what I made:

Crafty friend Joyce sent me a few of these bow dies with my Xmas card. I loved them especially as Joyce had cut them all in hot pink and purples! Thank you Joyce x

I saw the colour challenge at Colour Throwdown-hot pink, red and lime. I really liked this combo and had to give it a go. I was a bit stumped by the lime but found a lime button in my stash. I can't remmeber the last time I used a button on a card!

I got the idea for the layout from Lynn's card here. I just added a tiny line of red glitter card at the bottom so still keeping the card CAS even with that button-thanks Lynn for always inspiring me x

The sentiment is from the new set of stamps 'Wish you were here' by Happy Little Stampers

Have a fun Friday x

A Sunday Make

Hello All,

My card for today, again inspired by a few challenges:

I find colour challenges really hard but when I saw the colours at Colour Thrown this week I wanted to give them a go.

I already knew I wanted to CASE this card by Rahmat at Happy Little Stamper's CASE the Designer Challenge and this gave me my layout but naturally I went for a more CAS version. I used a embossed score line instead of the vellum and kept the base card just white space.

I deliberately chose a die that had lots of open space so I could enter the 'space' challenge at CASology.

I will also enter this into the Anything Goes Challenge at Happy Little Stampers-my sentiment and enamel dots are both from Happy Little Stampers

Have a good day x

Peace, Love, Joy to All

Hello All,

Yesterday I finally got to make my last Christmas card. I wanted to use this die but was not sure of what design to use. Luckily a few challenges and a crafty buddy at Time Out Challenges helped inspire here.

I got the layout from the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch where they are celebrating their 200th challenge-thank you for continuing to inspire us each week.

I used the 'space' challenge at CASology also as inspiration-adding lots of white (well kraft here) to give this airy look-every element is even popped up to give more space and this die is an excallent example of how it achieve space in a CAS card.

And finally the distressed edge was inspired by this card by Stephanie.. I have never thought of using a distressed edge on CAS cards but think this really suits the rustic feel of this card-thank you Stephanie for this inspiration x

I will also enter this into:

Have a good weekend my friends x

Time Out Challenges #72

Hi All,

We have a new challenge at Time Out Challenges. And this time it is our:

CASE challenge (copy and share everything)

We are so excited as this time we are CASEing the very talented Kim. I have follwed Kim for a long time now and I am always inspired by her ceeativity. Check out her blog Cupcakes, Cards and Kim. You will be amazed by her style I can assure you. I was so pleased when Kim agreed to join us and be our CASE designer for this challenge. And even happier that she gave us a Birthday card rather than an Christmas card to CASE!

Here is my take on Kim's card:

I loved the vibrant colours Kim had used plus the design and these were the 2 elements that I picked out to CASE. My fav colour combo is purple and yellow and it is no surprise that these were the 2 colours I used. I went for one layer (no surprise there!)

Here is Kim's amazing card:

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Deepti. I am sure many of you know Deepti but for those of who don't take a look at her amazing blog here. Have a browse around and I guarantee you will be inspired. Deepti has certainly inspired me for many years now.

Deepti and our DT have all CASEed Kim's card in their own special way. Take a look here and then take some TIME OUT and craft with us.

Enjoy

I will enter this into:

CASology-Space-my balloons are off there! Plus lots of yummy white space!

AAA Cards #79

Hi All

I hope you are having a fun weekend.

We have a new challenge for you at AAA Cards.

We would like to see 'Clean and Simple' cards that have some silver on them.

Here is what I created:

A square card with that much loved snowflake stamp from Visible Images. I am forever using it and this time stamped it in delicata sliver ink. I then die cut a 'Joy' sentiment a number of times with the top layer being cut out of silver glitter card. This is one of my fav Christmas cards this year.

The layout is based on the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches using my snowflake as the circle.

Our sponsors for this challenge are Happy Little Stampers. The winner will get a $20 gift voucher to spend in their store.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Marianne. Her blog is a delight to visit-check it out here
