How CAS can I go??

Hi All

How CAS can I go??

Have a look:

I saw the challenge at Less is More to use small images and had this Snowflake Serenade from Uniko on my craft desk and thought I would use the tiny snowflakes from it. This sentiment in the same set was perfect to place the snowflakes around. The hardest thing was to get the little sparkles around in the middle of the snowflakes. Added the linen embossing plate for texture and a one layer card done-perfect for sending abroad!

Have a fun day.

Courage!

Hi All

I actually got to craft today and made this card:

This sentiment I have always loved as I think it sums up what we all need sometimes. I paired it with this stamp as a Lion just seemed the right image! Sentiment is from Verve and image Happy Little Stampers-both companies closed now but I still love to use their stamps.

As many of you know my Best Friend passed this year due to cancer and it is her Birthday next week and she is on my mind all the time. However it is her husband that this card is off to as I know it will be a hard week for him-his Birthday is a few days after.
I used to send Pheds (my best friend) cards to make her smile through all her tough times and now I like to send him cards every month at least to let him know I am still here for him too. As you all know a handmade card can mean all the difference. So he has another next week too for his Birthday-I sure hope they make him smile just a little!

Thanks to these 2 challenges for inspiring me to make this card:

AAA Cards-one small image and I went with the positivity twist
Just Us Girls-photo week-obviously went with the safari image and picked out the yellow in the photo

Inkspirational #192

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational. And this time it is our word prompt and the word is:

Fold

I found this a tough one but then saw these stamps and went with 'folding' newspaper into a party hat!

The folded paper hats are from Visible Images and the sentiment from STAMPlorations and the frames are Winnie and Walter-tilda essential cutaways

All the DT have come up with fab ideas for this-take a look here and then get inky!

Time Out #140

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out and it is our photo challenge.

Here is the card I made:

Inspired by the greys and white in this photo, plus the flower reminded me of this tutu!

The sponsor for this challenge is Topflight Stamps-a new challenge for us at Time Out and we are so excited they are supporting us.
Here I have used their stamp set Born to Perform by Visible Images

All the DT have made amazing cards-take a look here and then take some TIME OUT and have some fun with us!

Teal and Gold!

Hi All

Quick drop in with a very CAS card made using one of my favourite card combos-teal and gold. Love how the gold shimmers on the teal.

I used a new stamp given to me by the lovely Cornelia when we met in London about 6 weeks ago. It is from Unity Stamps-thank you Cornelia!

I simply heat embossed it in gold on to the teal card. Then did the same with the sentiment using black card-this I popped it up on foam pads.

Have a good day x

I will enter this into:
AAA Birthday-for the girls-this is off to a crafty friend!!
AAA Cards-maxi white space-no option taken and my white space is teal but still white space!

Crafty Friends!

Hi All

I met a crafty friend from Austria on holiday on the beach in Greece-we are everywhere!
Her craft is making things from shells and pebbles. She got me collecting pebbles so she could make me a necklace. And yesterday she emailed me to say it was on its way.

I haven't crafted for ages but so wanted to make her a card so I can send it to her when my necklace arrives-I will share a picture of my necklace when I have it.

Here is her card:

The background is an embossed panel given to me by another crafty buddy Joyce. The deep purple is water coloured and the sentiment is heat embossed onto the panel. This stamp is from Penny and Black and was a presssie a long time ago from yet another craft buddy Sarah G (who now runs her own stamp and stencil company-take a look here)

So my design but helped along by pressies from crafting friends and off to a crafting friend met on the beech!!

Have a fun day and I will enter this into:

Addicted to CAS-heat-I went with the heat embossing

Inkspirational #191 photo

Hi All

Time for a new photo challenge at Inkspirational.

Here is my card:

And here is the photo that inspired this card:

How gorgeous are these cupcakes? The ice-creams and balloons are so beautiful and would be amazing for a baby shower!

So much to choose from here so I just picked out the balloons.

Using the following from CAS-ual Fridays:

I made cards!

Hi All

I finally made some cards!
I was inspired by the Twofer Card Challenge 'Garden' and used this floral sparkle wreath die to make 2 different kinds of cards. This die was a pressie from teamie, Jill at Time Out-thanks Jill!

Here are the 2 cards together-sorry for poor photo but light was not so good!

The first card is a Birthday card where I used the wreath off the edge and just popped a sparkle flower in the centre (a pressie from teamie Anila at Inkspirational-thanks Anila). Added the enamel dot for some colour:

And the second card I went with Christmas, using the floral wreath as a Xmas wreath! Also there are, what look like snowflakes, all around the wreath. Just die cut it and added mirri card underneath! And a label with a touch of the mirri card!

The first card I will also enter into:

And the second I will enter into:

Have a fun day!

Time Out #139

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Time Out and it is our 'Inspired by Words' challenge.

Here is my card:

And here are the words:

Here I used the stamp set Book and Film Stamp Set by our fabulous sponsor Catherine Pooler

I know there is so much to be inspired by in this phrase and as I was looking through the stamps sets at Catherine Pooler my eye was caught by this movie and books set and my original ideas were forgotten!

My mind went to the word 'Happy' and what makes me happy.....and guess what movies do!!
Hubby and I spend as much time as we can going to the movies and I have a very special friend who loves doing the same with her hubby....so this is her 'Happy Birthday' card!! I find it funny the way inspiration takes us!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Claire. Claire has supported Time Out for many years and we love to see her creative designs in our gallery. Her blog Life On the Scrap Heap is a delight to visit and pop on over there to check out the amazing cards.

Then back to Time Out to see what Claire and the DT have made to inspire you!

Enjoy x
